- Many of Nicki Minaj's fans have been questioning her whereabouts. Nicki hasn't made any posts on social media since the new year (2018) started. Even though Nicki temporarily vanished from social media, people are concerned. Where did she go? Why did she go ghost? In this video I discuss some of the obstacles Nicki dealt with in 2017...which may contribute to why she is taking a break from social media.

Nicki is the first female rap artist I have ever noticed and liked, and rap is not my favorite genre. In my opinion she has no competition. She carved the path for every new female rapper I like now too. If she wants to work with other female rappers, she will be very well loved and respected. No hating necessary for her.

Its kind of unfair to compare Nicki's year with other artists. Pink print came out December, 2014. Its been 3+ years since she has released a new body of work and she's still on top. I think thats quite a record.
I dont think success is measured in charting the billboards. And from what i see Nicki isnt trying to win the popularity contest. She is trying to make money. Charting doesnt necessecarily equate to money in the music industry, after a certain point.
Also, i can understand why she wouldn't be interested in endorsing her competition. I think it would be stupid for her to promote an artist who is trying to fill her spot. The female rapper she cosigned was Dej Loaf, and probably because Dej has her own lane that is distinct.

I think that Nicki looks amazing. She does not seem to age, as she has looked the same for a number of years. I think that it´s a shame that the ageism for women in the music industry still exist today. I mean why does the industry not want a 35 year old woman? It´s not like Nicki is in her mid 40´s or 50´s and has her best years behind her. Nicki is still young and fresh, as she still experiments with her music and her songs are still great in my opinion. Nicki Minaj is not older than Beyoncé and Beyoncé still gets airplay and her songs continues to chart pretty high on the Billboard Hot 100. I don´t understand why people need to suddenly find a replacement for Nicki Minaj. In my world there is room for many female rappers and I like Nicki Minaj and Cardi B´s music. I personally, don't think Cardi will replace Nicki, because not only does Nicki do Hip hop, but she also does Pop as well. Pop songs such as Super Bass, Pound The Alarm, and Starships is what really propelled Nicki to the top to begin with! If Nicki never experimented with pop music, I don't think she would have been as popular as she is today. So with that being said, I don't think Cardi can and will replace Nicki, because I can't see Cardi creating the next Starships song. Pop and Cardi just don't seem like it would happen.

Before the beef there is Records of Nicki asking to collaborate with Remy. Remy didn’t want to do it cause she did not like that Nicki wanted to add Foxy Brown. Remy has unresolved beef with Foxy. There is so many videos of Nicki paying homage to other female rapper. Rihanna been shading Nicki since Nicki dancing on Drake on stage & in that video; she didn’t like Drake close relationship with Nicki. I think its good Nicki is stepping away from the media for a bit. Cardi B and Remy Ma diss rap (sheethah) in 2017 kinda kill Nicki's spotlight. I am not a big fan Nicki but I do enjoy her music. She was the Biggest female hip hop/ pop artist for the past 10 years but some one will rise up and replace you especially in the entertainment industry. You made alot a valid points about why Nicki has gone dark. But I do want to say even though Nicki is 10 years older than Cardi B, Nicki still looks 10 times better and younger than her.
