    Hi Jing!
    I bought the pasta in a local grocery store in Los Angeles. I've seen them in other stores: Ralph's and Fresh&Easy. Any small size pasta will work! ciao, b

    Parmesan cheese and ricotta are fine at 7 months (Luca started with them at 6). Instead of spinach you can use swiss chard, sweeter. I introduced spinach in Luca's diet at 9 months. I followed the diet recommendations of my Italian pediatrician about which ingredients to add and at which stage, they are not strict rules, just suggestions considering that your baby's digestive system is still developing between 6 and 12 months. I hope this helps! ciao

    You're Great, Barbara! I watched a lot of your recipes and found them all very inspiring. I love that you always use fresh & natural ingredients. Recipes seem simple but they are really delicious!
    We're Romanians and the Italian way of cooking is very close to ours. Everything I made from your list was a hit for my baby/toddler. Keep going, mommy!

    But my dear, in one of your videos you mentioned not to use dairy with iron rich foods, as it impacts the iron absorption.
    Instead you mentioned using vit C...
    I am a bit confused here...I love your channel and my baby loves your recipes :)

    Why do u need to boil the spinach for 15 min? Isn't it too long and would kill all the nutrients? Or it's bc it's not a baby spinach

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Julia! they were not baby spinach but on the crunchy side instead :-) If you have fresh baby spinach you can simply steam them for 5/8 min. And thinly slice the zucchini so that the same cooking time will be enough to soften them. Ciao!! b

    Hi Buona Pappa, Thank you very much for your receipt! It is really helpful to cook for my 11 months old baby. A question, where did you buy this baby star pasta? I lives in California. Did you buy it locally or online? Thank you.

    I'm so happy I found your channel. I am going to start cooking for my 8 month old baby. Do you think this recipe is suitable for his age or should I wait till he turns 12 months to make it?

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! welcome to BuonaPappa!!! homemade baby food is always the best :-) The recipe is appropriate for babies starting from 6/7 months. If your baby is still in the puree stage, you can simply cook the recipe and blend everything in a smooth creamy puree before serving it!! Let me know should you have any question! ciao, b

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Melanie! I'm so glad you like the recipe! Cheddar works very well too. I would substitute ricotta with cottage cheese and parmesan with cheddar, it will have a more delicate taste. ciao ciao! barbara

    Thanks for sharing the video, can I store the rest of the food in the freezer? And if yes, how long is your suggestion?

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure! I would say max 3 months in an air tight freezer safe container. I like the ones with lid and tray from GreenSpouts :-)

    Is this good for my 6 month old baby since I know that u introduced it to ur little one at 9 (spinach)..love ur videos by the way !!!

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Marisma! Thank you so much for watching BuonaPappa!!! even if some pediatricians are fine giving spinach to 6 months babies, I follow the more conservative ones that suggest to wait up until 9 months. The reason why is related to the high nitrate levels in spinach. If you like the recipe for your little one you can substitute spinach with zucchini and in few months try with spinach. I hope I was helpful, ciao ciao! b

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Veronica! I would store it in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. If you want to know more about how to freeze baby food, you might be interested in this post www.buonapappa.net/how-to-freeze-baby-food/ ciao and thank you for watching!! b

    Hi! Love your videos :D was thinking if you would know some pasta recipes that dont include dairy? My baby is allergic to cows milk. Shes 11 months old. Would really love some advice :(

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Aysha Al-edrus It's becoming a quite common allergy among babies and kids :-( Did you check the baby food section on my channel? There are other easy baby pasta recipes you might want to try. If you see the Parmesan Cheese added at the end you can always skip it. The final taste will still be good. Please let me know if you have any question, I will be happy to reply! ciao, b

    Can you tell how to make white sauce for babies?? Which milk should we use??

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi karishma.
      white sauce is usually made with butter,flour,salt and milk. you can also add a pinch of nutmeg. I haven't tried yet a baby version, but for a 10/12 months baby I would substitute the butter with coconut oil and the milk with coconut milk or breast milk or formula milk. ciao! b

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!!! more baby recipes are coming. you might want to check the new feature of recipes divided by baby age :-) Also, if you like a toddler recipe (your baby is now older than 12 months) you can always cook one of the recipes in the toddler section and simply puree it as smooth as your little one likes!! I still puree my vegetable soups for my kids...and they are now 4 and 6!!! Ciao and thank you so much for watching!! b

    can we use tomatoes for baby of age 9th month

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I would recommend to wait 11/12 months for tomatoes. They are a kind of fruit very acidic and in young babies may cause tummy ache or diaper rush. Cooked tomatoes are less acidic than raw ones, so you might want to start with cooked ones. A tomato sauce for example, maybe used as a pasta sauce. I hope I was helpful! ciao, barbara

    I’m scared of buying cheese from the store because of the salt, i’m not sure what to do, my baby is almost 10 months and i wanna give her cheese🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

    • @Buonapappa
      @Buonapappa  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand your concerns. You have few options: check the ingredients on the packaging of the store bought cheese and select the ones with less salt. OR make your own homemade cheese. I tried with ricotta and cream cheese with good results :-) Aged cheeses are more difficult to make at home. th-cam.com/video/QQOdv0kWVMk/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/8Ejz3_lDTRA/w-d-xo.html Ciao! b
