Jazzfest Bonn 2019: Mezzoforte - Medley "A Blast From The Past"

Als 1983 der Song Garden Party um die Welt ging, waren die vier isländischen Jungs der Ursprungsbesetzung gerade volljährig. Der kommerzielle Erfolg kam damals total überraschend. Seither gilt Mezzoforte als die wichtigste Fusionband Europas, sie überzeugt ihre Fans mit künstlerisch-authentischem Ausdruck. 2012 feiert die Band ihr 35-jähriges Jubiläum, mit ihrer personellen Mischung aus Bandhistorie und frischem Blut schaffen die Musiker bekannte Spannungsfelder und neue Energien. Das Album Islands dokumentiert den musikalischen Reifeprozess der Band und fügt der Diskografie ein weiteres musikalisches Schmuckstück hinzu.

I’ve seen Mezzoforte live twice this year, in Sa Coma (Mallorca, Spain) and in Düsseldorf (Germany). Always big fun and jazz rock funk fusion at it's best since the eightees. This medley consists of the three songs "Midnight Sun", "Spring Fever" and "Rockall."
