I hear a huge difference between Joey and Jay. I loved Joey growing up, favorite moment was Disasterpieces in London on the drum riser!
But Jay is far more talented, sharper and simply youngest cat in the whole band. It kinda hurts to say, but I love Jay.

But I love Critical Darling and Nero Forte because of contrast of Corey’s singing. He’s mumbling, growling, singing and even laughing. That’s why I goddamn love it. Yea, you should've heard it back in 92 on the track godsmack, by the band Alice in Chains, on the record Dirt. It's still great there, too. No disrespect. I'm just a huge fan of that record, and this influence stuck out like a sore thumb to me the second I heard it in critical darling. Dirt is a fucking classic.

Crazy to think that this Album is already 4 years old, it feels like it was just dropped yesterday.. I remember being super stoked for this album this was a good era for slipknot.
It's rare to find a song where beauty and fierce anger coexist like this.
And it seems to represent the human creature more than anything else.
Their musicality has a meaning beyond their words.
Just imagine, 10 minutes after you get angry, you find flowers beautiful.
This is exactly the dual nature of humans.
Listen to this music with earphones especially at the beginning when you leave home, the energy and confidence that the music at the beginning transmits will feel like a Jesus walking on water!

I have all their albums, except this new one yet. I'm hearing these songs now. Been a fan of them since 2000 or so. I think it's fuckin awesome. I hope they make this above song a video. They make some of the coolest videos ever. I think my favorite album by them is All hope is gone. Subliminal verses being a close 2nd. I'd invite you to look for other songs you might know about, like Spit it out demo and Snap. I've always loved Corey and his lyrical style. This music has always helped me through the anger haha.
Honestly, there's no wrong choice for which Slipknot album is your favorite. Every album offers something unique. My favorite changes depending on what I'm going through in life.

Maybe it's just me but listening to it front to back, this album sounds like someone dealing with the stages of grief. Or dealing with healing from past trauma.
A+ effort from the boys, it's just a shame Thre End So Fsr didn't captivate me nearly as much as this one did.

I love the new masks, and that they each have their own very distinct feel. The jumpsuits and always having the same clothes worked but the band is more dynamic than ever, and their new costumes and masks show it so well.
