Afib Rhythm Control Strategy Treatment - What You Need to Know About Cardioversion • Afib Rhythm Control St...
In this video, Dr. Hurst discusses cardioversion as a treatment option for atrial fibrillation (Afib). He explains who should consider cardioversion, who should avoid it, and the associated risks and benefits. Cardioversion is typically used for those following a rhythm control strategy, aiming to convert Afib into regular sinus rhythm. The procedure is usually successful but comes with a high risk of recurrent Afib.

I had cardioversion yesterday the only thing I hated was the ketamine they used to sedate you. In my opinion it is the worst feeling ever because of it being a hallucinagine,it puts you in a ( how I would describe it) an outer body experience which to me was frightening to say the least.A distorted state and it was something I never want to experience again.I don't know why they used ketamine instead of propafole but it was very unpleasant.Other than that,I felt no pain.

Great explanation, Im going to have cardioversion with medicine next week so I thought i should research first.
I had my 2nd Ablation 1 month ago and my Dr said sadly it didnt work. Weeks later I asked to change my medications and i hv to stay in hospital for that matter plus a cardioversion is needed. Seing this video gave me assurance that this is whats commonly done to find ways to correct my rythmm.
The caption was helpful to my understanding. Thank you

What should I do after my Cardioversion? Is there a way to help you stay in rythem? A diet or high cardio? I'm dreading and want it over...I want to stay healthy after although it'll take a while with good dietary exercise butIjust wondered if there was a food or cutting meat out maybe? I can't find anything. Thanks in advance if you get to reply.

I had cardio version lasted 3 months. First time lasted 2 months. The difference I tried a probiotic drink Kefir. There is B12 and magnesium in the drink. I think it helped keeping me out of AFib longer
