Preparing for General Conference

- The 190th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (April 4-5, 2020) will be unlike any prior conference in the history of the Church.
There are two main reasons for this. First, 2020 marks two centuries since Joseph Smith’s inaugural vision of God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ - a foundational event for the beginnings of what the Church calls the Restoration of Christ’s gospel. Last October, President Russell M. Nelson put Latter-day Saints on notice to the special nature of the April conference. He said it will not only be a unique event but will be “different from any previous conference” because it will have a central theme - namely, the Restoration.
I can't wait to have the Prophet and all our leaders in my home for two full days!

I've never enjoying preparing for something so much in my entire life. Studying the Restoration with my wife and children has been so impactful, especially during these uncertain times.
Our family is so excited for General Conference! We are preparing for it.

Upcoming conference will be "unforgettable" - and for those wanting it to be more meaningfully memorable, remember the part of Pres. Nelson's concluding remarks, as well as his address to the Women in "Spiritual Treasures" - inviting us to prepare by prayerful study, reading of scriptures (he gave specific ones and then encouraged further reading and study), pondering by asking questions, staying current with the Come Follow Me curriculum...
So excited for the opportunity to have general Conference again!!!
I hope they announce the immediate return of all missionaries to their families at home to stop the spread of COVID-19 and for their protection!
This conference will be so exciting and unforgettable!
I love the last statement of our beloved Prophet. He sure is right. We won’t forget this one and it will be different. I am so Thankful for a Modern Day Prophet during this time. (Coronavirus 19 Virus, keeping us at home.)

Notice the focus on a black family and the mixed marrige or single woman with a mixed family.
This all helps to dispel any myths that the world audience may have about any possible discrimination attitudes that may have perculated in Latter day saint idealogy.

I'm hyped!
I'm excited for conference! I love the good example the Church has been setting with regard to COVID-19 stuff, and I hope they continue that by modeling social distancing during the sessions. Plus, sitting several chairs apart (4 metal folding chairs, and I'm guessing 2-3 conference center chairs) provides more opportunities for different camera shots. ;) I'm especially interested to see how much focus is on the restoration, how much on regular gospel topics, and how much current events are mentioned. I'm so grateful for our prophet and other leaders.
The next conference will be different from any previous conference... how prophetic. We all need to hear what is going to be said, I think.
