I absolutely agree You have so much history in cycling including early fixed gear era that most people are unaware of. Your art is out of this world too! Always here to support your channel!
I have never binge watched a TH-cam channel before finding yours and now I can't watch others because they just don't keep my attention haha. You've just got a vibe and style that is so fresh. Thanks!
Thanks for the tour! If I was riding the Sports bike I'd constantly have the Viagra Boys song of the same name stuck in my head. I know this is off topic, and a few months old, but I found out the other day about Sukho's recovery progress, super stoked, can't wait to see him on a bike again eventually!
I feel like there is so much you could unpack and share here, even beyond the bikes. As a passionate cyclist from a skateboarding background myself, I bet you have a ton of cool skate paraphernalia on top of all of the cool biking stuff.
Dude, you just blew my mind. I had those shoes and I’ve been watching your videos only for a few months. I had no idea. Road with them for two years in Canada. 😲 You are the Fast Friday Guy?!? I had no idea how much you were in my life even 15 years ago! This made my day.
Dudeeeee Fast Friday!!! Cadence!!! I can’t believe it was you. You influenced my life so muchhhh. Here in Spain it obviously wasn’t has big as there but we made it happen copying you guys haha. Built a huge community that I’m still friends with. I found ur channel like a month ago and couldn’t believe I felt so connected with it. Now i understand why. Keep the amazing work. Always impressed by the amount of time u put on ir videos. Gracias!!
Awesome shop. Bikes gave me pure joy and freedom as a child and over half a century later I feel the same excitement about riding and all things bicycle. It’s good to be alive.
I just watched the full Fast Friday doc you mentioned. There’s something weirdly nostalgic about that time period for me. I have no connection to that community but the vibe reminds me so much of the punk/hardcore scene around that time and damn it hit different. Thanks for linking it.
Wow lots to unpack in this video. First of all you are a trooper making these last two videos back to back given the wind/ice/snow-storm we had here in Portland. Nice to finally see where most of your money came from. I did not know you were part of Cadence, saw that brand and wondered about it. As for bikes, I'd say the E-bikes are the ones that I'd most want to see a dedicated video about. It also seems like you have some videos to do about the fenders that you've mentioned that should be on your bikes. Could even custom paint a fender to match a pattern on a bike you have.
Dude, obviously owning that many bikes and the history each one has is impressive. However, I am so happy to see how far you have made it being an artist. This world doesn't particularly promote life as an artist, and you are almost a beacon for many of us who want to start being creative. This video made me really happy and it actually serves as inspiration to pursue a life similar to yours. Sending love from Colombia (L)
Impressive !!! This is the ONLY channel that I don't skip sponsors on. I actually disable "sponsor block". Just because the way you put it .... let's just say it's unique !
Honestly, I could see a "memory lane" playlist of videos telling the story of all the bits in your studios that you find interesting... Videos don't need to be 14 min long... You clearly have some good one in there... Just do them all!
I'd like to see a deep dive on either the Colossi track bike with those corn cob looking grips and whatever the stories are, or the Daccordi bike you used to courier with because that's a side of you the channel doesn't have much of yet.
Great content creation during our snow/ice storm! I love the peak behind the scenes and think you should start with the bike you ride the most for the deep dive.
Dude those t toe, dvs would kill in sales right now. I work for a major retailer and have always been very curious on your background and style, you’ve brought it up videos. But I would love a breakdown on you!
The Ritchey paint sample tubes might be cool to use as table legs. Like for a coffee table or something smaller since they don't look super long. Also, the old headtube as a doorhandle is rad. Would be great for like a bike themed brewery or something.
that is a good idea i’m a woodworker by profession. i’d love to get ahold of some tubes and make it happen. also could be door handles and so much more.
DK you need a maker episode(series) with the head tube finding a door, Ritchey paint tubes used as drawer handles or fastening fender mounts on the Stinner? Could be fresh, wintertime frustration. Sound fun?
Ritchie color sample tubes...how about a high back chair and use the tubes as the backrest/vertical rungs? A bike styled game of thrones chair. Love the videos, keep doing you!
I had to stop the video, and go watch the "Fast Friday" video. That's an awesome video man! Ya know, I have no idea how we're supposed to pick a bike, for you to deep dive on, but, being someone, who didn't even know there was such a thing as "bike messengers" 9 months ago, I'd like to see a deep dive on your messenger bike. I'd also like to hear some stories of your time doing that. Thanks for the video DK! They're always a joy to watch!
Love that you’ve combined my obsession with bikes, art, and horticulture in one studio. And my ADHD cannot recommend where to start. Too many shiny things.
You sir are insanely powerful creative force! Thanks for the tour. I'd like to hear the stories about your messenger bike and perhaps one day also see you build a bike with that Wilier Jena frame set you have by the stairs.
i’ve been watching you’re channel a long time. i’ve never seen a great deal of those bikes. Deep dive… dunno. but i will watch any of them. also, dang id love to just hang out in that studio and shop. so much cool!
Shoutout to DVS, my favorite shoe brand of all time. My buddy worked in a shoe store in LA that one of the founders of DVS when they were starting out would go into to copy features/elements of shoes from the big brands and he would float my buddy free shoes for helping him out.
Nice random skate stuff and Eames lounger in the background, definitely some fine workspaces 👌. That Vision water bottle has got to be a rare specimen. Remember the first Vision Street Wear shoes that would dye your feet and socks whatever color that the suede was ha ha? First shoe that I can remember with an ollie pad. Cheers from Port Angeles Washington, great video man.
Too much good stuff. Just like how you can't decide what bike to feature in a video, I can't think of just one thing to comment on - it's all awesome. I love how each thing (not just the bike) has a story and we all love how you tell stories, so 🤷♂️
I'm voting for a video on the old bike from Mash that you have the headtube of. Or the old Raleigh that you cut up. And if you're not willing to do a video on bikes you've cut to pieces then I guess the Stinner would be cool too.
Hey Dustin, thanks for the tour I really enjoyed it- very inspiring! I’d love to hear more about your ex-messenger bike and your titanium bike. Cheers from Melbourne OZ, Steve 🍻
I get the feeling you could pick ANY of your bikes for the deep-dive, and it'd still be super interesting. The two best things I took away from this excellent video are that 1) My collection of bicycles is NOT in fact, too large. 2) I really need to organize my stuff a lot better, ''cause your spaces are all really tidy. Ok, how 'bout the black/white Stinner? You seem to ride it the most these days, and I thought you couldn't paint Titanium, and yet.........that crossing pattern of yours is somehow calming and I wish I could duplicate it on my Priority 600. BTW, why haven't you added a Pinion/Gates belt drive bike yet? What gives?
From what's shown, n + 1 = 19 for Dustin, if my count is accurate 😅 Seriously, it's obvious Dustin is very passionate with his art and cycling. He is a great example of what could happen when you follow your heart and do what you love.
Is it weird that your entire space gives me super strong Goonies vibes? I kinda think it makes sense, no?! Oh yeah, talk about that track bike, Daccordi, Stinner, and the indoor road bike!
Would love a video series where you build your own bike learn how to weld. I think there are classes in PDX that take you through the entire process. Could be good collaboration opportunity! 🎉

Very curious to hear about your Colossi. Cool bikes and a very cool owner/builder. I had Jan Kole make me a custom Colossi frame with Ritchey Break-away couplers. Love it!
A send help skateboard? Wow haven’t seen that brand in a while! Cool to see you had a colab with DVS, I watched “skate more” over and over when I was a wee lad
Didn't think you kept all those kind of review bikes, like the Canyon grizzl. Thought you would record the videos about it and then return to "the Pros closet" or wichever sponsor that sent them to you. Nice to see them all again, and to know that you actually use many.
@@EverythingsBeenDone comparing those two vs the Cutthroat would also be cool too since it's closer to the Epic in some ways than a regular gravel bike
You could probably use two old Star nuts inside that frame for the handle without welding anything. Attach it to a board at those angles then attach the board to the door.
Make a weird geometric chandelier out of those Ritchey tubes. You might look at SKS brand fenders, they make some pretty nice one that don't require lugs to screw onto

Stella Artois should just recruit DK as The Most Interesting Man in the World.
Finally we got a good old fashioned MTV Cribs episode
With your Ritchey pipes, cut some of them down and make a bike themed wind chime set. They're whimsical, you know ?
Ditto!!😂
was literally gonna suggest it but decided to check cuz it seemed obvious. i second this suggestion~
That’s my vote too

Cool tour and so many sweet bikes all put together in a real way like i was following you around your space . 😁👍
Idea for the Ritchey tubes: Glue them together side by side, so they're in a square/rectangular orientation, and hang them on the wall like a picture!
