My theory is that Sada and Turo were working together to research Area Zero, but after that initial success, Sada would've wanted to put the brakes on their research in order to focus on their family because the Crystal Pool encounter made her realize they couldn't just neglect their son. But Turo, who hadn't experienced that encounter, couldn't understand why Sada suddenly wanted to give up on her lifelong dream. So he stole the Indigo Disc, ran off, and gave the Disc to one of their research investors, thinking that he was "protecting" Sada from Terapagos' influence by sealing off the Underdepths. Sada, on the other hand, didn't know what Turo's motivations were, and she thought he had betrayed her and stolen the Indigo Disc in order to sell it. She threw herself into her research in order to keep her mind off her broken heart, and she could no longer be around her son without being reminded of his father, which was painful for her. But she still tried to give Arven some care as he grew older, getting him a Maschiff for companionship and protection. Eventually she sent him to Naranja Academy, partially so she wouldn't have to see him and be reminded of his father anymore, and partially to get him away from the increasingly dangerous Pokémon that the Time Machine was bringing in. Michael, I hope that you read this. You can change the controls for flying in the settings menu. You can invert the y axis to be like an airplane. Also, stellar is not garbage and can actually be powerful when done correctly. There are TH-cam videos that explain the setup for stellar, which can make it powerful. Thanks for being so fun, helpful, and entertaining. 👍👏
The starters take up 29.7% of the dex, accounting for 8 generations, 3 types, and 3 members of each line, for 72 starters total out of 242 Pokédex slots (Excluding the mythical)
I really want to see his reaction to the hidden boss of Blueberry Academy and the trade that happens after you win. Sure, it costs a lot of BP to get to that point, but it's totally worth it.
To be fair Michael, Sada doesn't know that WE know Arven, she could've just realized "damn it I'm neglecting my son, I probably shouldn't tell this person much more than that", I'm not saying her actions are justifiable as a parent, but from her perspective, I sort of get it.
@bigjalapeno7061 That version is our version. If you head back to the underdepths after meeting the Professor at the Crystal pools, you can read the books by the elevator, one of which notes an encounter with a youth after they suddenly found themselves by the Crystal Pools who gave them a white book.
You can create a party of 3-4 ppl and then each of you will keep on completing the BP tasks. The BP from their tasks also add up in your total this is a easy ways to earn lots of BP very quickly

@@kanevivi forgot to mention that each will trade a pokemon with you after the 3rd time talking to them, when the trade is completed that's when you get the gold circle around their icon.
It doesn't all have to be from the special coaches. Trading with the BB E4 also counts towards the 10 trade goal. If you're meticulous about this then you'll only need BP for three rounds of six, equalling a total of 3600 BP instead of 6000.
I’m SO bummed that Michael missed the journal entry by the professor in the underdepths his first time through. When I saw that Briar’s book was white, I started connecting the dots. Tho it wasn’t until I saw this video that I learned about the event to take terapagos to the crystal pool. But it was SO much more trippy after reading the journal entry.
To add to Mikey's take on the Stellar Tera Type, the consensus seems to be that, with the exception for Terapagos, it's situational. Some Pokémon that have a lot of coverage options want to use it, but it's not better than other options for Tera. Terapagos is the exception because Terapagos is cracked and banned from SVOU within a day or 2. Look at how tera blast works with Stellar type and contrary. (Then look at SVOU viability.)
When you are in the depths you can talk to the desk there and in Sada’s notes she mentioned she somehow appeared at the crystal pools and she is given a white book from a child. I knew the moment Briar gave me her book and the cover was white it was going to involve us somehow and the professor again lol. Oh and I always knew Sada was a horrible mom, I felt the AI loved Arven a bit more. Even in the post game story with Arven it made me so upset that he forgave her and thought she was a good mom after all that happened.
Stellar is great for Raid Pokemon that you want for multiple types - for instance, if you want both a Water-Tera Azumarill and Fairy-Tera Azumarill, Stellar gives the benefits of both offensively.
Yeah, that's the benefit of it. I needed more Psychic Tera users but all my Psychic types ended up doing better with Steel or Fairy. Now I've finally patched up all of my offensive holes in Tera Raids. No more getting gimped by Flying Teras because I didn't have space for Rock and Electric Teras.
Terapagos causing an encounter with the real professor is a huge point in the 'the paradox pokemon actually are from their respective time periods and not just created by dreams' box.
When Arven said that sada must have got so fixated trying to meet with one of the ancient Pokémon it was giving sun and moon vibes when Lilly’s mum wanted to meet a ultra beast😂😭
It isn't a time loop, it's a paradox. This is why they are called paradox Pokémon, and this event is also absolute proof that they are legitimately from the future and past, and not a dream.
I think it is a form of time loop just across different timelines making it a paradox aswell I think witch ever game you play the professor you talk to is the professor of the other game that just disappeared possibly to focus on studying the book they get from you maby coming to some kind of realisation they need to remove them selves from the situation and that the paridox pokemon are from timelines where more terapagos still exist one where things stay very wild and almost preastoric and another where there energy is abused to make the ai pokemon maby to replace pokemon in general as I can only imagine how many pokemon would be wiped out in a timeline where azs weapon could have access to that much energy even just yavatal and the x dear (sorry I always forget it's name) boosted with abundant tera energy
OK, first off, the first time you talked to Perrin after finishing the 200 pokemon, there was a Rhyhorn making a break for it in the background, it's so funny, haha. Second, Raging Bolt sitting there, while you walk under it is so funny. That poor giraffe can't see you! What does it eat!?
Since the professor talks meeting the MC in the underdepths, that means we didn’t affect another timeline. Just started a loop. I just think the paradoxes are from other timelines
The AI professor confirmed that they are in fact future/past forms of the pokemon that exist in present day. In the main game, when we go to Area Zero and reach the 3rd research lab, the AI professor explains that the future/past pokemon share the same genetic makeup of their present versions. That also confirms that future pokemon aren't actually robots, but living creatures with DNA.
@@sonbaty5932 sharing dna doesn’t totally mean they’re in the same timeline. Plus, the ai could just be mistaken, and maybe the professor didn’t tell them the true nature of the machine. They didn’t even know of the Paradise Protection Protocol
@@hisuianchar1548 One is working with an actual and functional Time machine, while the other is basing everthing on theories, since they do not have a functioning Time machine yet. So, if anyone is mistaken, it would be the real one, since the AI also has all of the real professor's memories.
@@sonbaty5932 well I mean, you can’t truthfully tell me the paradox beasts are canon to our current timeline. Plus, there is the fact they are named paradoxes. They aren’t supposed to exist in OUR timeline. Also, if the ai retained the memories of the professor, you’d think they would know the MC has a raidon + recognize them too. They don’t know you have one of the raidons til it pops out of the pokeball
@@hisuianchar1548 They're named paradoxes, because they are a result of a boot strap paradox. Nothing implies that they aren't supposed to exist in our timeline. And if we're going to talk about the Beasts, the Pokemon fanbase had came up with this headcanon that they are one of a kind, and that the ones Ho-oH resurrected are the only ones. That is simply false, and nothing lore wise actually implies that. In fact, one of Entei's Pokedex entries implies the complete opposite. The Pokemon Silver entry for Entei, claims that a new one is born every time a new volcano appears. The fact that they can be born, means that they absolutely can have ancient ancestors.
There's a cute thing you can do with Team Starr too, you'll find Eri and Giacomo talking in the lobby, and they'll say how Ortega, Atticus and Mela aren't doing that well with their studies.
If the book in Scarlet is white, I think it would be a good nod to how BB Academy being in Unova if in Violet, the book is black. It would also be a hint to Gen 5 remakes too. Both Professors are missing from both Scarlet and Violet. But only one is mentioned per game to have gone missing. What if this Professor Sada isn't the one that went back in time, but the Professor Sada from Violet? That Scarlet Book stuff was there before the DLC. It's post game stuff from the main game. Although if my theory about that Sada being the Sada from Violet, that could explain why there's no Scarlet Book in Violet, and why there's no Violet Book in Scarlet. That means that in both versions, Sada had the Scarlet Book and Turo had the Violet Book.
Unfortunately in violet the book you get from briar is also white. Also in the underdepths it mentions the white volume you give sada and turo before you even do it which is how you know to go to the crystal pools. So it’s the same sada and turo that die and all we’ve done is create a loop
Stella is gd for Tera raids because you can have for example Iron Hands but all it's moves are boosted, or stored power Slowbro so it's useful. I also feel like 3,000 BP is stupidly high just to unlock the starters, especially considering you can just transfer them from Home.
Heh, I already have all the starters from Home, so I am definitely not going to waste my BP on the biomes. I'd rather hang out with the special coaches.
The new Tera type is kinda good for those with the contrary (that ability that changes positive stat changes to negative changes and vice versa) ability since Tera Blast lowers your offensive stats when used, not sure if it's by 1 or 2 stages. Which, thanks to that ability, strengthen your offenses.
@@arthurmorganhereSerperior is outright better just sticking with tera grass. Consistent 50% boost to Leaf Storm damage does much better over the course of a match than Stellar tera does.
For anyone interested, this is how Snacksworth works; he will give one legendary treat per every 10 BBQS you complete solo(this includes sets completed before he appears.). This stops at 13 treats. He will then give you a treat for completing Group BBQS via the Union Circle his first treat will require you to complete 1 Group BBQ, I assume it will increase from this number but perhaps he will give you one of the remaining ones per single Group BBQ completed. The order you are given treats is totally random, so it will take a while to get treats for a complete legendary trio.
The Steller types seems pretty good Essentially If you use Earthquake Close combat And earthquake Those will get boosted You just can’t do earthquake twice in a row
I'm sad there's only 1 event left before the game gets replaced by the next game. This game has major flaws but its decent story wise and it makes me sad we're gonna leave Arven behind😢. I'm wondering what they'll announce and what the trailer will look like/what art style its going to be since Gen5 hints go brrr.
Man, didn't even realize this channel was a thing until it popped up on your other vids. Glad it did. This series was fun. Since I don't plan on getting ScarVio or the DLCs, it was fun to watch a playthrough of it. Look forward to whatever else you do next. Do hope TEAM SKY~ (falcon cry) can go through sometime soon, too. Would be very interesting to see.
Say what you want about stellar tera, but honestly with how broken some of these gimmicks have been I welcome a gimmick that's just a fun gimmick. (minus what it's going to do with Serperior and Enamorous)
Yeah, tera has been a nice refresher from what Dynamax was. Megas were also definitely very spotty in terms of helping weaker or lesser used pokemon, instead just mostly kicking them to the curb in favor of giving redundant or pandering ones. That or just making the weaker mons needlessly broken lmao there's less than half of the megas that IMO were actually balanced and helped a pokemon who needed it.
If you go back to arven after the cutscene of him saying he's gonna be a chef, he sees the violet book and says "oh did you check it out from the library?"
Stellar Type is great for raids, actually, because then one Pokemon can effectively have as many Tera Types as it does coverage moves, so it will be useful for more different types of raids. Like, for example, a single Iron Bundle could be useful for any raid weak to Electric, Fighting, or even Steel if you really wanted.
I couldn't consider my Indigo Disk run complete until I defeated the mysterious "Saffron", Blueberry Academy's secret boss, who'll only accept battles from the club computer if you've traded with ten trainers in the League Club's room. So I did. And this Saffron is a real doozy of a contender. It's basically the Red battle of Scarlet and Violet, with their Tera ace being the highest levelled trainer Pokémon of this game so far at level 87. I know you in particular will definitely appreciate the reward for winning.
Stellar Tera is also great for Ditto (getting boosts for every offensive move and it makes Tera less dependant on the opponent's Pokemon), offensive AVs with already good typing like Archaludon (additional power boosts) or Pokemon with Contrary (so they can get advantage of Tera Blast drops/boosts). I know that Stellar Tera Blast dropping both Attacks suck, but look: with Stellar Tera, its' BP grows to 100, but actually 150 because of STAB, deals supereffective damage to other Tera Pokemon and typeless damage to anyone, AND any Pokemon but six (Magikarp, untransformed Ditto, Smeargle, Cosmog, Cosmoem and Terapagos) can learn it. Without that drops, it could overcentralize the meta.
Regigigas in ORAS was worse, honestly. They really didn't want you to find it. I mean, requiring Regice to have a nickname? Who's gonnna figure _that_ one by themselves?
The Lore of Paradox Pokemon has been REVEALED! From Toby bird keeper says that they are from different pokemon earths one were the past Pokemon are savage and the future Pokemon are like robots
The BP costs of, well, everything, really solidifies how much this DLC was made with the Union Circle in-mind. the speed of which you get BP just by playing with one other person is insane. More BBQs available at once, and even group quests that are worth about 500 BP each. I imagine that with more players that you'd have the needed BP in absolutely no time.
The starters are actually 30% of the dex. He forgot to include the evolutions. 3 starter choices * 8 generations * 3 evolutions in the line = 72 pokemon.
One cool thing about the Terapagos secret event: Sada mentions that she might go home and spend time reading. So what if, in her original timeline, she heads home to read and spend time with Arven, so she never dies?
We know its not a separate timeline because, as the video shows, the books under area zero change to mention her meeting us. Which can only be there if it was her in this timeline. So, no. Sadly, that's physically impossible.
@@jonathangoodwin5609 It doesn't 'change'. It's perfectly possible to read that same entry when you're first down there, before you even get Briar's book. Which is how you would know to go to the Crystal Lake with the book. (Though I wonder how you're supposed to know that you should bring Terapagos...)
cause "it is said those cristals can connect with the souls of those long gone" or something like that (i play the game in a dif language, so minor changes here or there) and also that "they seem to have the same type of energy than those in area zero"... so Terapagos, the cause of that energy in area zero, seems a bit the answer... a bit hidden but still not really farfetched. At minimun, with the big emphasis in taking pictures, and how the place is a nice one to make a "matching pic" with the new mythical mon, is very likely that even kids w no idea could eventually find it out... dunno...@@EightViolett

Yeah, he didn’t count the pre evolutions I guess 😂
I really want to see his reaction to the hidden boss of Blueberry Academy and the trade that happens after you win. Sure, it costs a lot of BP to get to that point, but it's totally worth it.
Idk what that is but it sounds crazy
What’s the trade

To be fair Michael, Sada doesn't know that WE know Arven, she could've just realized "damn it I'm neglecting my son, I probably shouldn't tell this person much more than that", I'm not saying her actions are justifiable as a parent, but from her perspective, I sort of get it.
Hopefully that version of her spends more time with him

@bigjalapeno7061 That version is our version. Finding out that Michael forgot to close off the character arcs for the teachers and friends is hilarious.

You can create a party of 3-4 ppl and then each of you will keep on completing the BP tasks.
The BP from their tasks also add up in your total

Too bad I have no friends.
I wonder how Mikey would feel if he were to do rematches with previous game story characters??
I know for one that his opinion of Geeta would be drastically improved upon how her difficulty has been raised to what people had always hoped for her to be

The natural/standard moveset of Geeta's Dragapult might one up Leon's Dragapult: true both utilize Thunderbolt & Shadow Ball, but Geeta's Dragapult utilizes Dragon Darts a lot "earlier" than Leon's Dragapult; and I have to say that Geeta's knowing of Sucker Punch might put it over than Leon's with Flamethrower. As looking at it overall: Leon's fighting style has always felt like to me in being portrayed as eye-catching power barraging battling; while Geeta's is calm, cool, & collected while fighting with holding nothing back. that combined with all the special coaches and rematches, secret boss, and catching the snack legendaries and Meloetta is more than enough for one more episode, but he probably won't make it.
you should do one more episode focusing on the special coaches and the secret final battle and trade (that you'll love) after you've got the gold circle around all of them!
Do you mean there is something you have to do to get the gold rings and unlock the final boss?

It doesn't all have to be from the special coaches. Trading with the BB E4 also counts towards the 10 trade goal. If you're meticulous about this then you'll only need BP for three rounds of six, equalling a total of 3600 BP instead of 6000.
I hope Michael makes a video showing him play through the 1 hour Epilouge story that releases January 11th.
The Team Star Post game quest is short but really fun too! Lots of goodies!
Fun Fact: Raging Bolt is affected by Dive Balls because it's standing in the water. I caught mine in a Dive Ball.
I used a Lure Ball instead, but anyway I got him with one ball with critical catch.
arceus : how many pokemon are able to travel through time and distort space at this point dialga and palkia?
dialga and palkia : yes
To add to Mikey's take on the Stellar Tera Type, the consensus seems to be that, with the exception for Terapagos, it's situational. Some Pokémon that have a lot of coverage options want to use it, but it's not better than other options for Tera. Terapagos is the exception because Terapagos is cracked and banned from SVOU within a day or 2.
Look at how tera blast works with Stellar type and contrary. (Then look at SVOU viability.)
Contrary Stellar Enamourus is about to be the next big shot.
Happy new year Michael! 🎉
Can't wait for TEAM SKY to play the indigo disk dlc! ✨
Seeing the professor was one of the best parts of the DLC
I cannot wait for the Pecharunt event to release.
Terapagos out here doing time travel shenanigans.
Dialga: "Wait.. thats illegal"
My shiny luck in the Terrarium has been astounding. I’ve caught 3 shinies total, 2 of them in one day
OK, first off, the first time you talked to Perrin after finishing the 200 pokemon, there was a Rhyhorn making a break for it in the background, it's so funny, haha.
The fact that they can be born, means that they absolutely can have ancient ancestors.
i love watching your videos cuz i dont have enough to play this amazing DLC, keep up the good work!❤
Poor Arven has to deal with the fact that you gave his mom some info that helped her die
Shh, let's not tell him.
@@ShadowFox1412 I'm guessing that's what was blacked out in the previous episode.
Koraidon is now truly . . . A CREATURE OF THE SKY!!! *eagle-screech*
Can’t wait to catch the paradoxes almost done with the dex
Stella is gd for Tera raids because you can have for example Iron Hands but all it's moves are boosted, or stored power Slowbro so it's useful. I also feel like 3,000 BP is stupidly high just to unlock the starters, especially considering you can just transfer them from Home.
Definitely should have been maybe 1000 for each biome. 3k is a LOT
And it boosts each unique type move once
Woah, Serperior's getting stronger and stronger. And I'm not gonna argue, cuz I love Serperior, i used a Contrary one in the DLC and I loved it.
But the Stellar Tera type literally doesn't affect that at all, though. That can be done just as well and better with a normal Tera type.
@@jonathangoodwin5609 Stellar type Tera Blast lowers your atk and sp. Atk stat by one stage, according to Bulbapedia
The order you are given treats is totally random, so it will take a while to get treats for a complete legendary trio.
pretty sure that bit with arven was possible before the DLC
13:11 , now read the books on table (below zero lab , in crystal cave), 17:15 that part was even before release of Teal Mask
I can't wait for him to somehow receive the mythical pecha like other TH-camrs have and bust out laughing at carmine and co.'s behavior
P sure that's a future quest thing that isn't actually obtainable through normal means
The Steller types seems pretty good
Essentially If you use

Close combat
And earthquake
Those will get boosted
You just can’t do earthquake twice in a row
Just from watching this, I get the sense that Michael didn't take advantage of Pokémon Home for a lot of Dex entries
Mikey and midriff pokegirls. What a match
I loved the team star cutscene and you can get a lot of bp with friends in union circles
They knew what they were doing when they designed perrin
If you go back to arven after the cutscene of him saying he's gonna be a chef, he sees the violet book and says "oh did you check it out from the library?"
Amarys is literally just..🧍🏽♀️…
The Stellar Tera Type is LEGITIMATELY the Gen 5 Gems as a free gimmick. 😂
Time isn't linear. It's like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff.
XD
Hah!
I just completed the main story so I'm going to binge watch all of the episodes I missed while I'll do post story stuff
The DLC is fun. I'm liking it so far and I haven't really done much story stuff
Stellar tera type is honestly pretty great for raids
it gives much more flexibility when building pokemon for raids
Yeah, I hated that my only option for Flying Teras was this Ice Tera Mamoswine. Now I've also got Baxcalibur and Hisui Arcanine.
Without that drops, it could overcentralize the meta.
you can also get meloetta in the dlc, but you should look it up if you want to get it.. it has such a complicated set of steps to get it...
Regigigas in ORAS was worse, honestly. They really didn't want you to find it. I mean, requiring Regice to have a nickname? Who's gonnna figure _that_ one by themselves?
When you do the penny line with team star after you finish the main game you can see eri without makeup! She's soooo pretty!
She is! I never realized she either dyed her hair or used a wig as her Team Star persona.
It's definitely a wig.
Confirmed that the Arven stuff is unlocked before getting the DLC
A lot of stuff at the school is unlocked after the main story. Too bad Mikey never seemed to either notice or care.
The Dragon Hammer thing is outdated. It was added because of Alolan Exeggutor (previously it wasn't available for use)
The Lore of Paradox Pokemon has been REVEALED! From Toby bird keeper says that they are from different pokemon earths one were the past Pokemon are savage and the future Pokemon are like robots
He is not a representative of Game Freak. This is not confirmation, just another theory to throw on the pile.
I had a literal visceral reaction to Snacksworth and his face.
I'm surprised that he didn't transfer the starters in
I know, right? That's what I did. Screw updating the biomes!
I did both. That was because I wanted to shiny hunt them in the wild but wanted to complete the pokedex early.
I cannot wait to see the team sky playthrough of the DLC's, Team sky Mikey will love the flying feature .
I love you so much your videos really inspired me and took me out of a rough time I can’t say how much I thank you for
The BP costs of, well, everything, really solidifies how much this DLC was made with the Union Circle in-mind. the speed of which you get BP just by playing with one other person is insane.
That's a lot
It's still just 24 to catch, since they're way above the required level to fully evolve.
If you'd moved your camera around during the fight, Raging Bolt does reveal his fight during attack animations.
One cool thing about the Terapagos secret event: Sada mentions that she might go home and spend time reading. So what if, in her original timeline, she heads home to read and spend time with Arven, so she never dies?
I know there’s that entry in the Underdepths about Sada getting a “white volume” and being transported somewhere different… but still
That would be cool
Those conversations you had with Arven are available before the DLC. I was wondering why your conversations were familiar until you met with him at the bookshelves, when I realized I’d already had those conversations.
I like how Mikey doesnt remember the conversation with Arven and Clavell, so he rereads it... We've already had this conversation back when Mikey FIRST started the Scarlet series. Which means, we're in the past...
People say that WE as the players are putting the plot for violet/scarlet into motion by giving the professors Briar's book in exchange and I also do like the title screen after that cut scene with the original book will be on the dusk at sunset so to sum it all up YOU give her the idea for the time machine
3rd part of DLC when?
There’s something you can do about having to tutor Team Star and you get new outfits afterwards if you do a good job
Was not expecting Pokémon to pull out the bootstrap paradox
Playing with friends makes it so much faster. Got all the BP I needed for the starters just by playing with friends for about an hour.
There needs to be paradox fossil pokemon that are just the original unaltered pokemon from the past
Well if we wanna be broad in detail, it is said in game lore that Gouging Fire is "an ancestor of Entei revived from a fossil"
