From a band with a library of solid bangers, this is the one I come back to the most. Near perfect song. Only issue is it ends .
Thanks for all the memories, CKY. Hopefully one day you get back together, but if not then at least we've got 4 kickass albums and plenty of good times. This is indeed the era of an end.

When carver city came out I was like in another world or something …totally slept on this album and song .. really has held up well

I can't disagree, I randomly searched this band one day cause I remembered hearing the name from jackass and those other shows and I feel like their music is better than 99% of everything that's mainstream

I feel you on the nostalgia, brother. Check out Deron's band, 96 Bitter Beings. The album Synergy Restored is fantastic. It has that classic CKY sound, because Deron IS CKY.
it confuses me that they wrote this song as a humorous joke but when i listened to it for the first time i felt nothing but serious, deep passion and emotion from the sounds this song produces

I think the reason the video is the way it is could be due to Bam directing it.

They definitely didn't write the song as a joke, all of their music is very poignant and deep, they've just never had the money for proper videos apparently so they just default to videos like this.

I was 13 years old when this album came out right into summer time. Me, my befriend and his older brother were always jamming to this. That’s a summer I’ll never forget. Underrated song and video
I only like 5 songs from these dudes. And this song is fucking incredible. The verses are so fulfilling sounding. And those instrumentals are god damn fire. Definitely their best song by far.
What other ones you like? If you like this I bet you'll like Disengage The Simulator, Sink into the Underground and Dressed in Decay.

RoadRunner records, u horriblely promted Carver City and now this great album is unknown to rock. CKY was a great oppertuinty to grow and get bigger but you always had your "hands tied" with CKY. CKY needs to be promoted they could get very big if promoted. now they left you and you wont ever have them again. CKY has things bands do not have they actually ahve a passion for it and for theyre speical lryical scence, they even have there own gerne for god sake. Deffeintly know that CKY is special!

Whether intentional or not, their “not hard” material is really good (ie my favorite, Disengage). Do I wish they were 100% complete? Sure. But at least the brand in some way still exists. If they did get back together, I’d have no hesitation to go see them.
96 bitter beings just kicked off their tour catch them while you can man.
I actually prefer that stuff. Disengage is amazing but if you listen to the foreign objects version it almost sounds like a corny death metal band's cover of the CKY masterpiece, losing all of its atmosphere and subtlety in place of screaming that's just supposed to sound "heavy"
CKY was at their best when they were indulging in the catchy pop sensibilities that made them popular in the first place. No one listened to 96 Quite Bitter Beings because it was heavy. Its appeal was based on catchiness and melody, not difficulty. @@AllOneVoice

These guys need to get back together, their powers are greater as a whole, I've heard both sides... and NO, their powers are much greater as a whole unit.

Chad's position as lead guitarist was never in question. Deron isn't a fan of guitar solos in his music for the most part. He does play some sick solos in World Under Blood but he focused on melody for CKY over showing off.
I also realize that's not what you meant, but also....you said unit. Hehe.
Deron Miller is better off with 96 Bitter Beings, they sound so mutch better
Deron said it was about stuff he did in the summer as a kid, like going roller skating. Its pretty literal. It's a song about a roller derby. He said this in an interview. Don't quote me on that as gospel but I'm 95% certain thats the context

Inhuman Creation Station?? Ya I’d say that’s amongst their most fucked up video, Escape From Hellview is damn good as well... as well as Shock & Terror (which is my favorite video by CKY)
Nick Sickmore nah inhuman is cool. Escape from hellview is a nice throwback to old school slashers but a#1 is easily the most bizarre with the imagery
Don't listen to Roadrunner at all. These guys didn't have their hands tied at all. They bombed the release of Carver City and promoting cKy so badly and now they're trying to save face. Dumb record label. Keep giving Chad Kroeger millions of dollars to look like a rockstar, it's a good business model.
