Decent heat....I know I shouldn't be too critical of the Youth heats cause they are soooo hit or miss but I will say whoever drove that Twisted car was awesome. Clearly had significance transmission issues after 8 minutes but they drove that tank so hard vs everyone else.....good show on the driver's part.
That car was once a 1975 or 1976 cadillac coupe de ville I could tell cause 75 and 76 cadillac had the triangle shape hoods on them and that style roofline
Cars from an era back when they were still made of steel. I wonder what shape they were in prior to the decision to let them die here... Kinda sad to me.. I'm from the Northeastern US and most of these models would only be seen at antique car shows now, if at all, and those were just the lucky ones that got saved only because rust hadn't yet caused gravity to fold them in half. They disappeared from the wild entirely here 25+ years ago. Also, what was up with the dual steering wheel in that "Twister" car? Old Drivers' Ed car? (Edit: NVM. I see a few of those out there like that.)
Wise move using the old ex police car crown vic... with the bigger oil pan, bigger radiator, high flow water pump, and heavy duty trans cooler, and more aggressive ecu tune... those things are tanks and built to take a daily beating... but super high gear... toss in a low geared rear end and thats a killer demo car...
never seen the youth heats before from where I am. Is the passenger side door still a ok hit since someone is sitting there or are you not to aim for it like the drivers side?
I wonder if anyone has or if it's even legal to run welds around the block and heads and if you have a steel intake around it as well to prevent blown gaskets... and if you can run metal piping instead of radiator hoses and steel braided power steering and trans cooler lines to keep from blowing a hose lol....

hard to weld cast iron and you'd destroy the gaskets during the welding process anyways
