Good Question! I'll take it to the gang at boat club for review. The motor assembly got sidelined by the outdrive project which got waylaid by a series of auto and light truck repairs and then I had trouble germinating pepper and tomato seeds. Then Spring arrived and everyone I know had a broken lawn mower and then we expanded the gardening project to a bigger space and one family member had to move and then another. I haven't had time to make many videos over the last couple of months. You may have noticed I was wearing a jacket in this lawn tractor video because it was filmed months ago. I know it all just sounds like a bunch of excuses, but I've been really busy since I got retired. But it does beg the bigger question: What is this TH-cam channel really about? I'd guess 90% of my videos are about growing fruits and vegetables; but some other things have crept in along the way like car and light truck repairs, the boat stuff, small engine repairs, and an occasional model train video. It seems I'm better at starting projects than finishing them ... and the work in a garden is never done so that's hard to control. Strangely, the boat content is getting more views on TH-cam than my other stuff even though I haven't posted a boat video since last year. Hmmm ... I guess that's the algorithm speaking and me not paying attention. I know TH-cam prefers a channel that is about one subject; and they tell creators to have multiple channels, but I haven't done that. I'd be curious to read comments on whether or not I should break my content into multiple channels or just keep mixing everything together like I have been. The short answer to your original question is we haven't given up ... but we're gonna' need a quality prop puller or some professional help. It's a stainless steel prop in really good shape and I'd like to remove it without damage. It's really stuck! I don't think soaking it in PB Blaster for eight months has done any good. - Clay.
@@claypotter378 my brother took off the carburetor. And I have no idea how to get the choke and throttle to work together. And the butterfly, I’m assuming choke? Is not moving right. Any help would be awesome. Thank you
I talked to the owner and he said Ok. It might be a couple of days before I can gain access 'cause he hasn't gotten it out for spring. I've been on both sides of the brother/lawnmower thing. My brother pulled one apart and abandoned the project; and then I pulled his apart and haven't finished putting it back together. So many broken lawnmowers ... so little time. - Clay.
Good question! When the blade engagement mechanism is functioning smoothly, the clip seems fit for its intended purpose. I don't know if the broken cable was the original (twenty year old) cable or a replacement. The clip is definitely the weakest link. If the old cable wasn't cut up from laying on the belt and pulley, I would have cobbled together a make-shift clip from metal bits. - Clay. P.S. The quarter of a roll of electrical tape the previous owner used to re-attach the broken clip did not work at all.
We have blades that may fit your mower. We're happy to offer you the product completely free of charge in exchange for a video review. Are you interested?
Hello I was wondering what happened to the mercruiser engine rebuild as well as the outdrive rebuild! Thanks

Can you do a video on how the carburetor is set up. And how it works with the throttle linkage please?
Maybe. I'll have to ask the owner. Are you looking for general theory, or are you trying to put an engine back together that someone else took apart?

How durable is a plastic clip that is attached to the handle it looks kind of flimsy

I can't see nothing..
I couldn't see anything while I was doing the work so that seems fair. - Clay.
Seriously man
Whats the part number?
Part Number is 532175067 from Sears Parts Direct (.com). It is currently on sale ... but out of stock (as of 08/19/2022). - Clay

This video is the worst. I almost thought I was gonna know what to do.
If it's already broke, don't be afraid to try fixing it. You will learn as you go.
