I remember when the trailer from Nintendo came out in 2014… I was so amazed by the graphics and the music, I literally was watching the video everyday until I got the game 😂😂😂 and I knew that Airport sunshine was about to be my favourite race
It's nice to hear people praising all the positives of MK8! I feel Ninty really brought us quite arguably the ultimate mario kart game! The only (slight) disappointment is the new characters. It pains me to see people hating on the game just because of that. Honestly this game definitely has the best track selection by a long shot. I reckon 26 out of the 32 tracks are 9 or 10 out of 10s! The new tracks are all very creative and look very memorable and the retros are some of my favorites or have been given stunning upgrades! I just hope they bring back single player VS mode though! In my opinion Tracks > Characters.
The DS Wario Stadium scene is really cool to see because they crossed the fireworks on the ramps and then passed the activated tires to turn and went down at the end of the descent

You could only choose from 3 randomly selected courses and vote on which one will get picked next, similar to Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed. This might not apply to when your playing in a friends group.
It's fun playing these tracks. So if the next Mario Kart game comes, some of the Mario Kart 8 tracks that return as retro tracks will be very familiar!

well toad harbor isn't really water themed, it's kinda like daisy circuit from mario kart wii, just a seaside town, with influences of san francisco/ san diego sprinkled in
