If you have any additional suggestions, pls share! #ContinuesWithWings
Yes, the 3A+1Lo+3S from H&L is already included at 03:16 😉 I didn't mention that combo with an extra title pic, but you're right. It's Yuzu's ultimate back-up weapon. It wasn't planned in his original jump layout in PyeongChang, but he managed to reactivate it within six seconds after a one year break. That was mindblowing 😲
CHRISTY W. Yeah, I just recently got into figure skating and watched him the first time at Pyeongchang 2018. When he did those two moves in his FP i was blown away especially by the hydroblading. I've just never seen someone doing this before. I almost liked this part more than the jumps because the way it fits the music was just amazing.
To my best knowledge, Yuzuru is the only skater who can do back counter entrance for Triple Axel (and usually land beautifully with spread eagle exit!) And it's really scandalous that judges underscore his triple axel so much (while you can see other ''jumpers'' having long long long preparation time to jump an axel!
At least his solo back counter-3A has received +3 GOE quite often over last three seasons. The back counter-3A+1Lo+3S-spread eagle combo is criminally underscored every single time. His camouflage-3F dito. That drives me up the wall really 😡
The judges need to give the illusion of level playing field between the top contenders :p Luckily, there's a lot of novice/junior boys and girls in Japan who're doing back-counter 2A/3A. Hopefully once this technique is more widespread we can start officially call it The Hanyu.
I wouldn't be surprised, if Yuzu became the first skater in figure skating history to land a back counter-4A. His spread eagle 4S and 4Lo proved me that even quads can have difficult entries and exits.
Henni147 might be hard since he needs about 0.8 seconds of airtime to complete 4.5 revolutions. His backcounter 3A only have 0.6 seconds airtime since he basically stop skidding for a milisecond before jumping up and rotate, causing him to lose a bit of momentum compared to normal 3A entry. His 4T and 4S have around 0.7 seconds of airtime while 4Lo have much lesser due to the entry. I honestly don’t think backcounter 4A is humanly possible but he might just surprise us.
that Ina Bauer is so iconic! don't even get my start on that lunge and prince move. This guy turns his entire body into a masterpiece for these skates he literally does not leave anything out
You know I'm not a fan of this sport, but I saw a video on Twitter of this boy and he was so elegant and passionate that he caught my attention, without even being a fan of this sport, I saw many videos of him and I just enjoyed watching him. I was not bored to see their presentations Now I love Yuzuru, he is my great inspiration, he inspires me to keep fighting every day,I wish Yuzu's life is filled with much happiness, many more successes and victories he is a beautiful person who gives so much light to this world.
A Legend, an Absolute Champion, THE King/Emperor of Figure Skating, The Ice Prince, the Humble Sweetheart, the Pooh Lover, and our Beloved, Beautiful, Graceful and Majestic Swan, Yuzuru Hanyu~ May he live a life as beautiful as him and we wish him excellent luck in the future and may his ankle completely recover~ Ganbatte, Yuzuru-san!!!!
Pure grace. He’s the one who inspired me to start skating at the “late” age of 13. And whenever I think of giving up it’s his quote “I will definitely win.” That keeps me going.
Me too. I am 13 now. But I am not sure I will be good enough to be a skater like him. But I will try .but THERE IS NO ICE RINK IN DUBLIN , funny that.I am desperate now.
Speechless to describes Yuzuru Hanyu. He is too Incredible to describes. Today is your 27th Birthday, Yuzu Happy Blessed Birthday, I wish all the best will happen in your life, most of all your feed recovery soon Yuzu. Many pray for Yuzu.
Thank you for making such a wonderful video! No other skater has the perfection in every single aspect of figure skating as Yuzuru does. He is the living legend. He is hands-down the best. He deserves the third Olympic Gold.
Wow, this is the most beautiful compilation of my favourite figure skater. Also great music. Yuzuru is the king of male figure skating. 🙏 I loved his hydroblade at the Beijing Gala. What a dream. 🙌😍😍
GREAT IDEA! But I think 'the YUZU' is a lot more heartfelt. I would like to see what everyone does if they just call out his name over the loudspeaker, as if he was about to appear... Yuzu, Yuzu, Yuzu! HA! I can make a beautiful song of just saying his first name!
Unfortunately, the judges are throwing high PCS scores at him for nothing (or for they are biased as hell) - so they are basically already putting him at Yuzuru´s level with no real effort on his part. And some people agree with that and claim that he´s so much better than Yuzuru and that artistry wise he´s fire on ice (yeah.....no, he´s not). So I´m afraid he won´t have much motivation to work on his artistic side since he gets it for free. I think he even said in one interview that if we want to see artistry we should watch ice dancing - or something to the point that he´s not interested in artistry in competitions (therefore just quads). So yeah......
When a spread eagle is the (only) highlight of your choreo sequence... yeah, that's not my image of breathtaking artistry either 😐 I really don't mind: give Nathan credit for his six quads with high TES. Technically he's fantastic, but 91 in PCS is a pretty generous score for a pure jump festival. As a defending world champion his components will even increase next season, that's for sure. Well, we have to take it as it is. 😞
Henni147 ...you forget his age ...he does have artistry ...he just needs to add it more into his routines... or his choreographer does ...when Nathan does his own choreo its beautiful ... he is not same as Yuzuru as he needs to combine artistry & tech in a more blended way Also ...these two skaters are very different in artistry ...one is classical other is modern Each has made history. Each a symbol in their respective countries. I pray Yuzuru fully recovers ...I know they say he is back. Hoping to see all young skaters succeed in next 4 years. I hate to see next 4 years go by in a way as Yuzuru may then be retiring if he follows the norm. He has definitely found a place in history & hearts around the world. Blessings to them all.
In competition Nathan IS lacking artistry (at the moment), but you can't blame him for that. He's doing the best, he's currently capable of. It's the judges' responsibility in the first place to give him such generous PCS. Nathan COULD be able to score in the 90s in the future, but imo he's not there yet. What I can see: Nathan has a great rhythm feeling and with a good music choice there's room to grow. Hip Hop, Reggae or Epic Fantasy would fit him really well, I think.
Henni147 ...you evidently have not watched his 2 latest routines that he choreographed himself ... he has artistry ...yes it's different than Yuzuru ...& thank goodness for that as I as a skate fan want to see variety...not skaters competing to do same style Nathan's choreographer & coach have chosen the artistry for his competition routines...take time to watch performances outside competition ...I am hoping they bring this type of artistry to the competitions this next season His artistry is very modern & not feminine but does have gracefulness Yuzuru is a swan in motion (with outgoing sense of humor & love character)...Nathan is a warrior/soldier in motion (with a serious quiet but strong character) Only way I can put it ...its in the eye of beholder as to whether we care for either one as a skater & see their way of skating artistic I see both as artistic with one mature & honed ...other young with needing time to grow
His every signature move is all very elegant and beautiful this is why he is a 2 times Olympic champion . He’s able to have wonderful expression and presentation and jumps and spins this is why his whole performance is always so good to watch
Thank you so much for this video. I love all of it and I can't get enough watching it. You chosen the perfect score to match Yuzuru's incredible skating. Thanks to your contribution, I fell in love with the man, the athlete, the artist. Yuzuru is such a beautiful human being! 💗💗💗✨
yuzuru looks so untouchable to me. as an italian, the 2018 worlds in milan were the only chance i had to see him... even though i did expect it, i felt so empty when i discovered that his injury had forced him to withdraw from the competition... the fact that i will never be able to watch yuzuru performing live really saddens me.
Yuzu hasn't retired yet. He has to recover from his ankle injury that he suffered at NHK, but he mentioned not to retire from international competition as long as he hasn't mastered the quadruple axel. He hasn't even excluded Beijing 2022 yet 😉
Henni147 i know, i meant that he "retired" from the worlds! i'm sorry, i used the wrong term. i'm gonna edit the comment so that nobody freaks out ahah
flyday chinatown It's been 9 months since you commented this but maybe you'll see my reply.. 😅 Don't lose hope yet! The Grand Prix Final 2019 will be in Torino, Italy! Hope you can see him there! I'm probably coming there too ^_^
yuzu has so many distinct moves that he makes his own! I personally REALLY love his Ina Bauer and Spread Eagle because they're SO elegant I can't not squeal everytime he does it xD
Ahhh~~ The varried arm positions, I wish you'd have included the last spin in H&L Helsinki because that is one of my all time favourite! And also the Requiem of Heanven and Earth 2016 spin. Hahaha but I get it, it's so hard to make a compilation video of Yuzu's best moments and keep it from being super looooong lol. I love the video! Thanks for making this ^_^
I've fed his Requiem spins in my editor already, but they were quite long and it would've been a crime to cut away a single rotation of them 🙈🙈🙈 Helsinki H&L is a signature programme from start to finish. I'll never forgive the judges that not a single element of this textbook skate received max. GOE 😡😡😡
Oh, I feel your pain 😂😂😂 They're both too perfect of a masterpiece to be cut out. And H&L, well, I'm forever butt-hurting on this. The fact that most people don't even know what they're seeing is even greater than it's credited for is so frustrating. Like, y'all think ONE WR is all the greatness there is in that performance???!! Ok the saltiness will never end I'm just gonna have to live with it 🙃🙃🙃
His whole being is iconic. I am so thankful to my parents for giving me birth in the same ages as Yuzuru! What a time to be alive with this legend and also staning this legend!
Thank you for this highlighted videos of Yuzuru. Now I know skating better and what the moves are called. His done a great job too. Love the layout of the video. Thank you for creating this amazing collection of his moves and defining what they are.
OMG!!This is incredibly so so so beautiful! This is a master piece!!All the elements are stunningly beautiful!!I am so blessed!!!Thank You So Much Master!!I love you!!I love Yuzuru!!♥♥♥

Henni147 My heart skipped like a hundred beats when I saw that "quad axel". Thanks for sharing this wonderful creation of yours. 👏👏👏
Legendary butt spin 😂😂 you just make my day 😂😂, looking forward to part 2 😘
Henni147 please also include his jump with a single Loop as connection - > 3A-1Lo-3S in Hope and Legacy
Yes, the 3A+1Lo+3S from H&L is already included at 03:16 😉
I didn't mention that combo with an extra title pic, but you're right. It's Yuzu's ultimate back-up weapon. It wasn't planned in his original jump layout in PyeongChang, but he managed to reactivate it within six seconds after a one year break. That was mindblowing 😲
Henni147 yes you put it under the eagle - entrance/exit category, right? Yes his performance in Pyeongchang is legendary 😍
His delayed Single Axel is so elegant and beautiful
Caesar Dinda absolutly yes
Yesss
1:34
It's so beautiful but to get the full impact watch it in slo-mo. The height and positioning is just 👏
It's my favorite jump, and his is so elegant that it surpasses description.
My personal favorites are his hydroblading and his Ina Bauer!! I'm just so mesmerized and in love whenever he does those lol!
CHRISTY W. Yeah, I just recently got into figure skating and watched him the first time at Pyeongchang 2018. When he did those two moves in his FP i was blown away especially by the hydroblading. My favorites from Yuzuru are his hydroblading and his Biellmann. The Ina Bauer is absolutely amazing as well though.
CHRISTY W. omg same
CHRISTY W. Agreed. For me his hydroblading in FP at GP 2015 is the best move ever
You can see how much of a Shizuka Arakawa fan he is by these moves. And he executes them almost as gracefully as she does.

Aye, that's possible. Let's be honest: 4A will be hard enough to land even with two miles of preparation 😂
For men his flexibility is ridiculous
he is truly the definition of 'poetry in motion'
that describes him perfectly
Have you ever seen a man so beautiful, you start crying?
that Ina Bauer is so iconic! don't even get my start on that lunge and prince move. This guy turns his entire body into a masterpiece for these skates he literally does not leave anything out
Yuzuru doesn’t do art, he IS a work of art. ❤️

Ganbatte, Yuzuru-san!!!!
did you practice for 40 hours already ? 😂 but yeah I agree with you. He's just...well... Yuzu. No words can describe him accurately enough
Simply just beautiful !
for me the most iconic is the hydroblading, it just looks so epic!
I think so.. Very like his hydroblading in Olympic 2018
Pure grace. He’s the one who inspired me to start skating at the “late” age of 13. And whenever I think of giving up it’s his quote “I will definitely win.” That keeps me going.
how the skating going now?
how u doing now
Me too. I am 13 now. But I am not sure I will be good enough to be a skater like him. But I will try .but THERE IS NO ICE RINK IN DUBLIN , funny that.I am desperate now.
His ina bauer is like hugging the world❤️
2:06 that was the moment I completely fell in love with his skating.
The Spread Eagles before and after jumps are beautiful and so impressive. The showman ship with the hydroblade, twizzle and Ina Bauer is outstanding.

Hanyu!!! Perfect!! 👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
Ah so my favorite move of his is called Hydroblading. Whenever he does that move, he does it so elegantly, it's breathtaking.
Recently I created a compilation of some of his best hydroblading moves. You can watch it here:
twitter.com/Henni147/status/1435287129379287046
Yuzu’s Hydroblade is perfection ! !
I agree with some of the comments below, let's do a petition to the ISU to name the back-counter 3A 'The Hanyu'~~~
GREAT IDEA! But I think 'the YUZU' is a lot more heartfelt. I would like to see what everyone does if they just call out his name over the loudspeaker, as if he was about to appear... Yuzu, Yuzu, Yuzu! HA! I can make a beautiful song of just saying his first name!
Nathan chen has still a lot to learn if he wants to compete with yuzuru on an artistic level
Nathan's choreographer & coach have chosen the artistry for his competition routines...take time to watch performances outside competition ...I am hoping they bring this type of artistry to the competitions this next season
His artistry is very modern & not feminine but does have gracefulness
Yuzuru is a swan in motion (with outgoing sense of humor & love character)...Nathan is a warrior/soldier in motion (with a serious quiet but strong character)
Only way I can put it ...its in the eye of beholder as to whether we care for either one as a skater & see their way of skating artistic
I see both as artistic with one mature & honed ...other young with needing time to grow
My gosh, he possesses more artistry and grace in the way he moves his arms than I have in my entire body.
His every signature move is all very elegant and beautiful this is why he is a 2 times Olympic champion . He’s able to have wonderful expression and presentation and jumps and spins this is why his whole performance is always so good to watch
This video made me cry, his skating's so beautiful, a gift to humankind.
Thank you so much for this video. I love all of it and I can't get enough watching it. You chosen the perfect score to match Yuzuru's incredible skating. Thanks to your contribution, I fell in love with the man, the athlete, the artist. Yuzuru is such a beautiful human being! 💗💗💗✨

I was surprised when I found the delayed single axle way more impressive than a quad
It's insane how many signature moves he has...some skaters don't even have one.
Most beautiful signature videos ever
Thank you very much!
Congratulations to the medalist at the Worlds this year but Yzuru's grace and beauty were sorely missed.
Thistledove not at world but Olympic champions
World champion 2018 is nathan chen USA
I know who the 2018 world champion is. Reread my post.
Fact: Everything Yuzuru Hanyu does is iconic
I haven't seen the delayed axel before!!!! It's so beautiful
Everytime I think I am used to his beauty and grace something like this pops up and smacks me in the face.
His Biellman is so gorgeous
yuzuru looks so untouchable to me. as an italian, the 2018 worlds in milan were the only chance i had to see him... even though i did expect it, i felt so empty when i discovered that his injury had forced him to withdraw from the competition... the fact that i will never be able to watch yuzuru performing live really saddens me.
I'm probably coming there too ^_^
How you can say that ? Go watch him this december in Torino !
I love Yuzuru Hanyu his moves are so beautiful and elegant he's one of my top sport idols ❤
The King.
Wow...truly a legend..an Icon...👏👏👏💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐AMAZING
Hydroblading, my fav pose 😍😍😍
I love the graphics and the music. This is a very well put together video. Thank you. This is very nice. 10/10 quality. I love the editing.
Thank you very much! 😊 I'll do my best to upload other videos on that level or better in the future! (The scoreboards and logos really bother me 🙈)
wow the music is magical, i picture him skating to this
the amazing hydrobalading!
Such a legend ! He is the best skater of all.
Nooo fuckkkkk im in love with his hydroblading 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
For me his hydroblading is so hanyu. So love his hydroblading. Does any other skaters often use this?
Such a beautiful job of timing with the music, best Yuzu vid yet.
1:35 Look at his amazing Single Axel!!
I really really love his phenomenal hydroblading. It so beautiful and full of grace.
yuzu has so many distinct moves that he makes his own! I personally REALLY love his Ina Bauer and Spread Eagle because they're SO elegant I can't not squeal everytime he does it xD
Awww keep striving for greatness Yuzuru Hanyu own the road🏆🔥👏🌎! Much love Yuzuru Hanyu❤💙💚💛💜💓💕💖💟💞💝💗💘🐰🌈🌎🌎🌎😙😙😙!!!
Hes so......elegant...😍
love this clip.
like a sculpture.. a moving sculpture.. so graceful in his own way... An Ice Prince...
I just watch this video. And I just known that the name of my most favorite Yuzu's pose is hydroblading.
Thank you for the video
Ahhh~~ The varried arm positions, I wish you'd have included the last spin in H&L Helsinki because that is one of my all time favourite! And also the Requiem of Heanven and Earth 2016 spin.
Hahaha but I get it, it's so hard to make a compilation video of Yuzu's best moments and keep it from being super looooong lol. I love the video! Thanks for making this ^_^
I've fed his Requiem spins in my editor already, but they were quite long and it would've been a crime to cut away a single rotation of them 🙈🙈🙈
Helsinki H&L is a signature programme from start to finish.
Ok the saltiness will never end I'm just gonna have to live with it 🙃🙃🙃
what a great performance amd moves! Gotta admit, this and the music you chose for the vid gave me chills! loved it 😍
