    Dear Jason, I am deeply sorry for your cute little Rachel bird and also very sorry to hear, what you've been going through. It's heartbreaking to see you so sad, made me cry too and I feel like giving you a big hug, telling you, you are not alone. Thank you for sharing your story and your honesty!!! You're most welcome. I would like to add, that I am going through similar difficulties like you, and I know what it's like. I am suffering from a panic disorder and also sometimes depressions, although I have not lost someone yet. I just want to say that I strongly believe in the power of the deceased one, and if we have been close to them, theire ascension has a lot of strong influence on us. First we react with sadness, but if we can overcome this, it is ment to be for some great change in life. And I guess, if you are struggeling with depressions, and if you hate your job, just ask yourself what you really would like to do. There must be something! Me for example, I was working fulltime as a kindergardenteacher, but actually I am a professional puppeteer and acting artist, and I became sick, because I neglected my artistic talents. So I am slowly, slowly working on this and decided, I will work as an artist again. I shit on money and secure job, to me is important, that I am happy. So Jason, there must be something, you would like to do, may be Rachels spirit can guide you. Trust your inner powers! When you say, you hate your job, Rachels death is not the only reason why you became sick!! I know what I'm talking about! God bless you Jason

    • @brandtmccall5184
      @brandtmccall5184 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow what a great inspiring story, congratulations for following your heart, and your passions as a puppeteer. When you do what you like for work, you never have worked a day in your life, rather you are pursuing your calling. I am sure you are bringing lots of joy to other thru your gifts. Bless you and of course Jason, he is processing a lot, it is very understandable he has a very heart felt bond with Rachel, and I believe it will remain forever as spirit is eternal.

    • @puppetmasterin
      @puppetmasterin 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Brandt McCall Oh thank you for your lovely comment!!! Yeah, following your heart is the most important thing. Maybe Rachel came into Jasons life, to inspire him, to follow his heart. Allthough he lost her now (only her material being) it is suppose to be for a greater purpose! I was thinking lately, why he wouldn't do something with animals, because I think the special thing in all his Videos with Rachel is his abilityor talent to handle her, what the bond between her and him made so special! I don't know how old Jason is, I guess in the middle of 30?...it's never to late for a new start!!!! All the best to Jason!!!! What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger!!

    • @brandtmccall5184
      @brandtmccall5184 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes I do agree Jason has a very caring heart which I think animals/birds and people well we are animals too resonate with. As we can all see on youtube spending time with birds/animals bring him much joy to, he senses their spirit like he did with dear Rachel. I thought a calling of his maybe something to do with animals/birds too just like you perhaps even volunteering at a parrot rescue while he is healing as he has so much love to give. And/or getting some training as a vet assistant, or a groomer, or starting his own pet daycare such as they have in Japan where people leave their animals for the day and other people can come in and order a snack (vegetarian snacks as these are all animal lovers!), and play with the pets the other people have left for the day while they are working or whatever they are doing.
      Yes we are giving many beautiful challenges in our wonderful lives to help makes us grow, live to our potential emotionally to spiritually and be stronger, I do agree with you. Wishing you, Jason, and all beings on this magnificent planet happiness!

    Dear Jason, this was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. thank you so much for making this video. It was obviously something that took a long time for you to be able to do. I'm sure you realize that all of your TH-cam friends and subscribers were very very concerned. I guess some of us for bracing ourselves for this announcement. 😢😢😢 Rachel was a real delight, and, thanks to TH-cam, will continue to be so!! Hi, isn't as well as many others here, can empathize and have been through this pain-many of us numerous times with our collective furried, feathered and scaled-and such- loved ones. The loss is immense. I have also found great comfort and keeping the ashes of my precious miniature schnauzer, Brunne, past back and December 2010, although sometimes it seems like yesterday I do have the comfort of having her wooden urn with her harness and homemade beaded collar. Just this year we have endured loss of two precious hamsters and a bunny.

      IthacaJason despite the video being quite old now, I was very sad to watch you describing the harrowing situation you had been in.
      From time-to-time and for many years I have shared the anxieties, stress, depression and PTSD symptoms you mentioned and my heart really went out to you. You needed a long and loving hug and I'm sure your husband gave you that. Plus, there's one from me, here in the north of England as an extra.
      I hope you have recovered enough to rejoin the workforce and have found a new career path.
      I truly, truly hope that you got through this and you're both looking to the future without forgetting the happiness you've had in the past making memories.

    No doubt that the eagle you saw flying in the sky was a sign from Rachel. And what made it more special was that you saw it right after you spoke of your depression and worry about going back to work. Rachel is always in your heart and she doesn't want your heart to be heavy with sadness.
    My prayers are for you. I hope that you let go of some of the hurt that you feel and seek a sense of peace. ❤

    Dear Jason, words cannot adequately express my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your Rachel. I have a special place in my heart for Blue and Gold Macaws, having hand fed, raised, and bonded with a very special one, myself. The relationship you shared with Rachel was a joy to watch unfold. Your grief is palpable; I wish I could help ease it. Each and every video you posted on You Tube clearly showed the love, trust, and adoration Rachel had for you. You were both blessed to have found each other, to love each other, and I believe she waited for you in the end to say farewell. I'm sure she kept on flying, free as ever...or more. I'm interested to hear Jason's words, but only if you think it will help You in your grieving process. Your and Rachel's lives have touched mine; I thank you for sharing pieces of your lives with me. I'd wondered why it had been so long since your last upload, hoping you were simply enjoying life. I believe we ache as deeply as we love, and your pain is in direct relationship and contrast to the incredible love in your heart that transcended species. Jason, please know you are not alone.
    Godspeed, Rachel.

    I came here to write to Jason, but have learned that he has passed and I'm so very shocked and saddened. My mum and I used to watch his videos and loved them so much. She is now in a home with late stage Dementia and she hardly speaks. The strange thing is it's very much like talking to Rachel. I say something and a lot of the time she doesn't respond and sometimes she does. The other night I was on the phone to her and it was mostly silence and I said "Whatcha doin?" and she just like Rachel replied "Whatcha doin?" and I find that just by saying that I at least get a little response. My relationship with my mother is now just like Jason and Rachel's, which is strange to imagine. I miss her so much as she was, but we still have a beautiful relationship and I wanted to thank Jason for the little catchphrase that helps us connect and showing me that love and patience gets paid back. Rest in peace Rachel and Jason.

    I lost my cat I had for 15 years about a year ago, he was my world and my best friend. At the time I was still taking antidepressants for bad depression, anxiety, panic attacks, social phobia and just generally being a mess. I'm still grieving too and I know exactly how you feel but please give yourself time, I promise you will get the calling you're waiting for, maybe in an unexpected place. For now you need to focus on yourself and your health, in time you will figure this whole thing out. I adopted another rescue cat who needed a home earlier this year and a week ago I was finally strong enough to quit the antidepressants. I'm still not all the way better, I don't know if I will ever be but time has fixed a lot of my troubles, you need to stick to it. Let your loved ones help you with your depression and anxiety and take it easy for now. Remember that you were Rachel's best friend too and she would want nothing else for you but happiness. xoxo

    omg Jason i'm so so sorry for your loss of the beautiful Rachel. I do know what you are going through. I had a cockateil from birth Jack i called him. He was just like Rachel, i took him in the car with me. i taught him to talk. i lived to hear " what ya doing " all the time. the conversations we had and the absolute silky games he played would make you laugh so hard. then my daughter came along and he was like a guard. he would sit over her and just watch her sing to her. i had jack for 10 years until the unfortunate time that my mother " accidently " let him out and off he flew. no way such a tiny bird would have survived. i cried for 2 years afterwards. i was so lonely without my little pal. he was just like a son to me. i truly hope that you do ok and can get through all this knowing that rachel is up there smiling and squawking down at you. i send you and jason all my love.

    Part 2: sorry for the length of this comment. I am just so touched. . I sincerely believe that you and Jason should consider bringing another feathered son or daughter into your lives! There are so many and rescue wanting forever homes. Sometimes the bigger cuties have a longer waits. Like Rachel, our family Indian ringneck (my precious grand-birdie❤️😊)came via a breeder however, should I be blessed to welcome another feathered love one I would certainly go to the rescues! this would also be an honor to Rachel, in my humble opinion It would be wonderful to hear Jason's account!you have many subscribers and, as I mentioned before, I'm sure many have been concerned and would love to share in honoring Rachel. Her videos are precious. BTW-I also understand what it's like to be on disability and have to ponder your future calling!! Best of luck and support in that endeavor. All love to you and Jason (and any of her extended family and friends !) from NJ. ❤️❤️😘

    Hi Rachel & Jason (She is indeed an everlasting star) -- so yeah, I cried throughout the video like I haven't in years. I have lost a parrot that I had since I was a kid and I had to carry the loss with me for so many years. I just want to tell you that you are a very special person, and with all the pain that you are going through, just know that we are lucky to have people like you in this world; loving, caring, sensitive.. please, for us, don't give up. Let Rachel's legacy be the mission for you to find happiness once again. Thank you so much for sharing this intimate moment. Although Rachel was not my bird, I was so happy every time you uploaded a video. Maybe this is not the time, but perhaps you should consider getting a new bird. It helped me after a few years and I now have a loving bird. I still haven't forgotten that first bird.. it just helped me so much. Help us help you, Jason. :-) The social network like Twitter and Instagram.. it does help cause you connect with people who feel just like you do, who could support. And you & Rachel have MANY supporters and fans. We love you both and please don't sign out for too long. We want to hear that you are moving on, with all the difficulties and be a part of your journey. Peace out and much much much love to Rachel.

    I had a similar experience with a quaker parrot, Keiko. People said she was my 'soul mate'. I will always remember and love her. It was heart wrenching and I thought no other could ever replace her. But after awhile Sheena came into my life and she was even more loveable and personable. Will never forget Keiko, but I love how my God loves me so much that He knew what I needed when Sheena came along. Go on my channel to see vids of both Keiko and Sheena.
    P.S.
    I admire your courage to share with us and be vulnerable with raw emotions. You are truly a special, compassionate, and loving human being. I pray God will bring another special bird in your life to help you. He has always been there for me - praying He will bless you with another to share your adorableness with and start a new chapter. I subbed and will keep you in prayer if that's ok with you. Hoping to see old vids of you and Rachel and maybe more of someone new. God Bless, Linda

    altough we live a world apart - I live in Belgium, Europe - I share the same experience as you, Jason. on May the 21st in 2015, I lost Loui, my alba cockatoo, due to a very rapid fungal infection taking over his little body. I too wear his wrestband around my neck, his ashes are standing next to my bedside....
    I cried for you and Rachel, and felt the pain again of losing my precious lil' Louie.
    On april the 2nd 2016, I bought a baby blue & gold macaw. Templado is the New Joy in my life. Suffering from lyme desease and ptsd (Child abuse survivor), Templado helps me through the days. He is the best therapy I'll have and became my New soulmate. I swear, sometimes I see al little bit of my Louie in his eyes :)
    Although I never thought to find a new friend and soulmate, I did, and bit by bit I'm moving on again, loving and living once more.
    Big hugs and I wish you alle the best, Jason. I'm sure Rachel watches over you xxx

    Hi Jason. I just saw this video today. I am so sorry for your loss. I love Rachel and so does Jacob my blue and gold macaw. Rachel was an amazing bird. I can't imagine my life without my bird but the reality of it is there, day in and day out. Jacob was diagnosed with Macaw Respiratory Hypersensitivity when he was 3 years old and I almost lost him then. He is now 13 and each day that goes by is cherished as this disease can take him in an instant. Just living with this has been so hard on me but having him is also the best thing in my life. Again Rachel was so very loved by you and all of us on youtube. If you wanted to see Jacob, you can see many of his videos under jacob macaw. I also have videos that show him while sick. RIP beautiful Rachel.

    Dear Jason,
    I'm so so sorry for your loss. I balled watching this video. I volunteer with macaws, and they are all amazing. I can't imagine losing one that's your own. I would be devastated if one of the macaws at the conservancy I volunteer at passed away... They are all so goofy and amazing. And so was Rachel. Her talking and sounds are so cute. I like to play imitation games with the macaws I work with... and they remind me of Rachel. I pray for that things will get better. Please have hope and stay strong!! I can tell you're a very good hearted person. Perhaps your calling is birds? Stay strong Jason! Please contact me if you want to talk. I too am a huge macaw lover... God bless you

    I am so sorry for your loss. I understand and get it. One of the most difficult things in life. Our feathered, furred (and otherwise) family teach us so many things of and about life - as well as unconditional love.
    I think your calling should be to adopt/rescue unwanted/abused/neglected feathered friends. Call the place "Rachel's House."
    I wish you the best of everything. You can and will make it. I know you will always cherish the memories of her.

    Hello Jasons! I'm dropping a note here to let you know, even though Rachel is gone, she and her (Jasons) family remain I the hearts and memories of many, like me. I don't know about the rest of your life, but you have such a gift with birds. Too often, people take on the responsibility of having parrots as pets, only to realize they require far more time and patience than they have to keep the birds healthy, emotionally happy, mentally challenged, etc. Have you thought about fostering birds until they are re-homed, or otherwise providing intermediate care for them? I realize it might be too much and too soon for you; however, if you're the type of person I imagine you to be, you get the most from life by giving/channeling your energies to causes close to your heart. I hope you'll consider sharing your unique ability with some parrots out there who need someone like you. I know firsthand how noisy and loud parrots can be -- so being a parrot-whisperer might be an oxymoron, but if anyone can, it's you! Cheers to you and Jason from a friend in TH-camLand!

    She probably had mini heart attacks, or stroke up until the Vet appointment. That’s when they normally pass on during or after anesthesia. Not a lot of research on parrots and anesthesia. I wished you were allowed to go back and hold her when they put the mask on them. She was stressed probably being whisked away and thinking she was being left there for good and that you didn’t love her.

    Dear Jason, I cried along with you while watching this vlog. I have a Blue & Gold named Madison. I bought her from a breeder that I didn't know and found out the day after buying her that she had a heart murmur. The breeder wanted me to put her down but I didn't! I couldn't! This bird was so sweet and loving and deserved a chance at life. I have had Madison almost 6 years now. She loves watching the Jason and Rachel show. You definitely have a gift with birds. I could see the love between you and Rachel. Heck! Madison was falling in love with you! She gets very still and listens to every word and sound that Rachel's would speak. Madison says a lot of the same things you taught Rachel and almost everyday she asks, where's Rachel bird! I love my pets like my children. I understand your pain but I promise, God will help heal your hurt if you let Him. Although Rachel can never be replaced, one day, you might find yourself ready to love another bird or special pet that may have been abused and/or living in a very sad life. What joy and life you could bring to that pet. I believe you are a special person and I am taken by your humbleness. It's ok to grieve and cry and yell if you need to do that. You loved Rachel like your child. Rachel is not hurting and in a wonderful place right now. If she could come back, she probably wouldn't because she is so happy. Rachel would want you to be happy. I will keep you in my prayers and as for me and Madison, we will continue to enjoy watching the Jason and Rachel show! Thank you Jason for sharing Rachel with us. She was a bright star to me and Madison!
