  • A quick demo and first burn of the recently purchased collapsible REDCAMP woodstove (LARGE), fresh out of the box. This was an ideal piece of equipment to take on a family camping trip in late March in Alberta, and was really easy to set up :)
    No product affiliation implied.
    Edit: Some have asked about the trendy thermal tights in the video - these are handmade by Earthgroove ActiveWear which is a small, local company in Edmonton, AB and they can ship overseas.
    More camping gear reviews to come!

      Have a look at the Firebox 5. Expensive, but much more versatile. just ordered mine.

      Thank you so much! Yes, we're in Alberta :) We've recently purchased another woodstove , we kind if like them too! Hoping to try out in the next couple of weeks - it's been a bit hectic and I've fallen behind with things!

      @@DelsJogswithDogs they are addictive little things, I have a few now. Boundless Voyage has a nice version of a fold up titanium stove, works very well, I take it with me often

    Greetings From Nova Scotia & i bought 1 about a year back now & tried to see how much heat it can take !!
    Filled it to to grill with Charcoal & it burned like a volcano.
    After it was all cooled down.....i was SHOCKED, it never warped 1 little bit.
    I highly reccomend this stove !!

    I bought it. Will be using it to cook. All I need is some cheap dollar store broiling pans and some charcoal, and I believe it will work great. Can't wait until it gets here from Amazon.

    Thanks for the great review. No fluff! Is the small version of this suitable for backpacking?

    • @DelsJogswithDogs
      @DelsJogswithDogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much! Yes, the small one would be OK for backpacking, although if you wanted something even more lightweight if a little more pricey, we just tried the titanium Onetigress Rocuboid. Did a great job and we were impressed :)

    If your going to cook on it, make the wood short enough so you close the door. Works great. And yes you can get a bed of coals, if you know what your doing.

    It seems to need vent holes near the top for when you have a fry pan on top.

    To use a large pan it’s better to put the handles up and between the holes on the side of the grill, this way the pan will bot sit flat on the top of the stove and will allow the smoke to scape better, and the fire won’t go out of the door so much.
