    Thanks. That's super healthy for the retina. I tried almond flour plus soy milk with the corn and it also worked great.Have to blend it thoroughly, tho. It's fun to experiment adding different ingredients. I subscribed and look forward to more of your videos.

    We call it "Mais" in the Philippines. We usually cook it like soup.

    Our sweet corn has already been harvested, but I think I will take a frozen pack out and try this. Thanks for sharing a drink that is popular in China and other countries.

      I have never tried them with frozen corn, I imagine it would work, but just won't be as sweet.

      That is what I was thinking, but I could add honey if it needed it. I am passing this along to others.

    You left a lot of good corn milk left on the cobs. Use a spoon or the back of the knife to scrape the corn pockets of the cob to get the naturally sweet particles and juices.

      That’s a good idea! But what I did was saved that for sweetening the soup since the milk was plenty sweet for me.

    Corn juice shake. Wow, this is a first to me. If, I get hold of some fresh local corn I will give this a try. I think, I will give it a go with Coconut water or Almond milk. Hmmm I wonder if Karin will drink it.
    Thanks for sharing this video with us all

    I would not throw away the fiber. I would add boiled potato, grated carrots, any nut finely powdered, finely chopped onions garlic green chilli and corriender and make some awesome finre rich cutkets.

    Great! So you simmer it for the usual 20ish minutes good for corn? (i can't digest raw corn but love it cooked, in my Northern Italy cornmeal porridge is the staple of choice, traditionally)

    HI you,
    i try to cook as your guide but i fall in the way to protect corn milk when i did. How to preserve this dish in long time (2-3day) as you mean.
    Please share me some tip to maintain them if any. Thank you very much

    • @wendiland
      @wendiland  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Remember to strain it to get smooth creamy juice. Keeping it in a sealed container in the refrigerator will last for about 3-5 days. Hope you succeed next time!

    The corn my family grows is more starchy than sweet. Steamed, it's sticky rather than slick.
