I think the power stacks WERE created for the new atomic compact tools. They perform best with those. Me, I like the compact 4ah and standard 5ah packs, I feel they are the best value for the money and run time you get.
I just got one last week. I've used it on the 4 1/2 inch saw, the grinder, the Atomic Drill, the 1/2in drill and the random sander. Very nice size to power ratio, a real keeper. Similar power to a 4 Amp battery for power. As the BOGO's turn up, I will buy more.
