This video belongs to a short film that Asking Alexandria made in 2011 called "Through Sin + Self Destruction", which includes (in addition to 'To The Stage') two more songs from the band, 'Reckless & Relentless' and 'Dear Insanity'. The short film is very good, you should fully react, so you will also know what happens next in this video. ;)
All the vocals are done by Danny. The low growls, the high screans and the vocals. Ben (the lead guitarist) does some back up vocals but 99% are done exclusively by Danny. His vocal range is phenomenal.
Hands down this album is the best material they’ve ever written. It’s one of the few albums out there that I can say I love every single song as much as the next one.
The women is the metaphor for Danny's addiction too alcohol & the party life. Stopping into a bar for a one quick drink can be the hardest thing for an addict.
Back when they made this Danny (the singer) might have been passed out 30 minutes before they went on stage not just sleeping, he had a lot of problems back then but has cleaned up now. They had a show that he was so messed up the rest of the band started begging him to go to rehab on stage. He can't sing high notes or scream anymore because of it.
He can still do high notes, I seen them live a year or so ago and he was awesome, listen to The Price of Beauty to hear his high screams after that whole situation haha, fucking brilliant👌🏻
that's actually not true. He can still scream low, high, clean sing, everything. I mean i have seen them live before and they're amazing singers. Just you have some good and some bad days. But no, the notion that he cannot sing high or scream low anymore is a myth. Try to do more research in the future please.
I'm pretty sure that this is based off a story from tour this video is actually 1 out of a trilogy of videos that are collected into one long video called through sin and self destruction
Yea Danny had some of the best vocals around if not the best. Too bad he cared more about partying than his craft cuz he could've been even better or preserved his vocals for longer.
Their 1st 2 albums are the best......its sad to see what they have become. They suck now but because Danny had vocal surgery so he can't go balls hard anymore....AND they were on massive drugs in their prime
Somebody listening this on 2024? This is album is "Such a fucking masterpiece"

Yeah, and Danny told that every situation in that video was really happening but not in the same day.
It's about Danny's alcohol and drug use

@@alangilchrist3278 exactly, Danny has some of the best, cleanest high screams I've ever heard, the dude is an animal.
Danny messed his voice up by doing drugs and being alcoholic, but he got cleaned and is able to sing again
@@whatisahandleplz he can’t scream for shit or at least doesn’t give a shit to try which is even worse

Request: asking Alexandria miles away
Nobody tells why Danny don't want to sing those old songs? You have the answer in the video and why Danny wants to sing something else.
Yea Danny had some of the best vocals around if not the best. Too bad he cared more about partying than his craft cuz he could've been even better or preserved his vocals for longer.
They have a four song music video this all ties into! It’s worth looking into!!

He has a history of alcoholism so yea over drinking and sleeping, not surprised.
If you want to react to them individually the other two tracks that finish the story are dear insanity and reckless and relentless
React to all of Through Sin + Self Destruction its a short film
