Barry is such a valuable teacher, he has the mark of one who understands in that he can explain it all so simply. This series of 5 short lessons is a tour de force of "you can do it" , He layed it down, i picked it up. When you are truly hungry the guy who serves you delicious nourishment for free is a friend indeed.
We’ll, I know this lesson is 6 years old, but I’m blown away. Using that altered V like a diminished chord and as a sub for the static minor chord sounds great!. Opens up a million ideas for soloing. And moving between the tonic minor and the minor up a step - same thing. A million comping ideas. Wow. This is great because I’ve been working on Mr. PC and minor blues in general lately. So helpful. Thanks.
Go! Barry! Go! Why so nervous. Your content is LIGHT-YEARS ahead of the other entrants. I feel your pain, though, because I am in the planning phase of putting lessons online. I keep telling myself to "stop trying to impress the student" . I'm teaching, not auditioning. If I put out a blur of notes my student does not understand, I become part of the problem.
