Here in the Philippines, we still like to hear and sing these kind of sentimental ballad songs of Air Supply, Chicago etc... that is why they are familiar to us but i dont think in other countries they do. You can't expect all reactors to know all songs. The most impt thing is that they are reacting honestly to the singer who is delivering the song. 😊
I always have so much respect for Air Supply and their music. But KC Tandingan's own rendition of this song. To be honest, I didn't love this Air Supply original that much until KC sang it. KC's voice is just so distinct and once she starts singing, you would know that it is KC and not mistake her for somebody else. There's really something about her voice register that gives a different attack and feel to the song that she's singing like this "Two Less Lonely People in the World". The voice, the melody, the arrangement, and the attack all at once give justice to the song. I notice that too but I think the reason why the song felt that way on that part is because of the movie. I think it was meant to feel that way and KZ really did a great job on that. You should watch the movie, Kita Kita, a smash hit indie movie from the PH shot in Japan. The simplicity of the story with a twist was picked up by Indonesia and made their own version of the movie. This revival of an 80s song was made lovelier by KZ.

Hi. You have asked about if KZ can sing higher notes than usual. hmmmm about that. She was once a belter of higher notes but she had a surgery on her throat. Despite of this, KZ finds another path of singing without the requirement of so much belting higher notes. Now, KZ proves that Singing is not just Belting. Singing can be in many ways. That is what we call TRUE ARTIST.
