Fun fact: Filipinos are hard on singing competitions. Every country has that competitive thing and for them it's singing. It's kinda like basketball for america and ping pong for chinese and it happens to be videoke for filipinos.

My male Facebook friend from Austria named Piet Arion who never had a singing lesson in his life , sings as a hobby , loves Morissette and performed this song as a tribute to her. Piet’s native language is German but a philippine friend helped him with the Tagalog so after weeks of practice he walked into a recording studio and performed “ akin ka na lang” and put it on TH-cam probably thinking he would receive a few hundred responses but from day one it EXPLODED and now several months later it has received over 22,000 LIKES and over 4,000 Comments 99% Of the comments were WOW OMG AMAZING! All Morissette lovers who haven’t as yet heard Piet’s rendition will be amazed!
Piet nails both whistle notes with as much or even more vibrato and everyone who I told and watched and witnessed this epic tribute performance agrees it is the best rendition ( male or female) by anyone who has attempted to sing it and will NEVER BE EQUALED! And by someone who is not a professional singer and never had a singing lesson. You be the judge.

You're one of the best in describing her ability in singing this iconic song bro. I think you have the best reaction to this Queen Mori song! I became a fan because she's the best I have ever heard, how cleanly she navigated through tricky notes. The transition from note to note to the belt out to a whistle and back down to the voice cracks..perfect! If you reacted to other "Himig Handog" songs she interpreted, it is all Mori, meaning she's the one who took the song to stratospheric levels!
