I was looking for one of these! Thanks for making this guide since I really want to make a certain character of mine and knew I wanted this specific multiclass.
Hey I’m so happy to help! It’s a pretty strong multi class honestly! I did Paladin Warlock my first playthrough and the combination between these two is great
I went another way with this in my current run, 4 lv in fighter champion and 8 lv in warlock the great old one, with this handed weapons. Went with ability improve t for lv 19 in charisma + 1 hag hair. Savage attacker and great weapon master. Doing feita all the time making them fear me. It’s pretty fun
Taking level 5 fighter will get you 3 attacks with your pact weapon which is so nice, faster than the fighter would naturally at level 11. Crit builds are really fun too in this game! Fighter pairs well with every class because of the constitution saving throw proficiency and heavy armor
This is my favourite multiclass, done it a couple times from Tactician or lower, because it gets stronger and stronger with time. I usually go with: Str - 8 Dex - 14 Con - 16 Int - 8 Wis - 10 Cha - 17 It's so easy to get level 4, and that's when you don't need str anymore. From lvl 2 to 4 just use the potions of hill giant str, easy 21 str until long rest up to when you get pact weapon, and as fighter and warlock we rarely go long resting anyway.
If this is you face character, Starting as Warlock is far better for dialog options. Its also better for later levels when your transitioning into fighter as you wont need to respec since you already have you damage stat. You can also go with fighter at level 2 , then back to warlock until level 5. This if for medium armor access. -Githyanki for ancestral knowledge and medium armor -Wood Elf for extra movement -Orc for the extra life -Tiefling for the fire resistance and darkness -Halfling for the lucky perk I feel like githyanki is the best start since you able to go straight to level 5 and transition into fighter and benefit from talking points and medium armor in the early game. The free misty step and mage hand are also very useful.
Oh wow, Eldritch Knight Warlock is really nice. The benefits of Fighter suit Warlock really well! Edit: I might borrow this build on my next Wyll Honor Mode run. 😅👍🏾 (most likely switching between either this multiclass or a Bardlock)
Thanks bro! Yeah there is legit synergy since you can get the three attacks at level 10 (non-honour mode) going honor mode I would probably lean into tavern brawler and throwing attacks to get big damage. Eldritch knight gives the warlock some extra spell slots which is nice
You can't throw the pact of the chain bound weapon. So tavern brawler is completely useless for throwing your weapon. And you need to pact bind your weapon if want the extra acttack from warlock.
Yeah thats why I gave two options, the eldritch knight bind can be used as you level up, and then when you're in act 3 you can go the 3 attack route I meant to take tavern brawler with eldritch knight, but ASI or Alert are two great feats
I'm not a fan of the progression. Fighter/5 with a dex 16 and increasing your (unused) charisma is a wait. Even in medium armor you dex is wasted and you could just dump it also. I'd rather... 1st. Fighter/1, lower dexterity (even 8 if you wish) and go for a 16 con and slightly higher wisdom. Just slap heavy armor and a shield. 2nd-3th. Go warlock. EB, spells, and invocations are good enough to get you through low levels. Get darkness + devil's sight earlier. 4th: Go warlock/3. You'll gain your pact and can attack with your charisma modifier. 5th: Go warlock/4. You'll still get two EBs and consider the polearm master feat and using spear/shield, staff/shield, or a polearm and use reach. You effectively get 2 attacks per round and can pile hex on with it. 6th: Go warlock/5. You'll get third-level spells and extra attack -- now up to three attacks per round. 7th-12th: Go fighter up to 12th. You end up with four attack per round -- or EB (three) + your weapon attack. Increase charisma. Yes, Eldritch knight is good as even the limited number of slots are great for fueling hex and spells like shield, protection from evil, or eventually fueling your darkness is great. however, don't take damaging spells other than magic missile as your int means a terrible to-hit chance and/or are easily saved.
Battlemaster 6 bladelock 6 is the way to go outside honor mode. Dump strength and use strength potions. The giantslayer greatsword in act3 will have you doing both cha and strength bonus on damage. The build to use is 8 str, 17 cha, 14 con, 14 dex, 8 int. Hag hair on cha. One asi to get cha 20. Use str potions or eventually the str gloves.
For race, I ALWAYS take Dwarf Duergar. Always. There is nothing that beats the level 5 race driven unlimited invisibility. I've done multiple honor mode runs with a party of 3 Duergar dwarf like this and you basically can walk up to any enemy, position yourselves, enter turn base mode and kick off the battle with a free attack, followed most of the time with a surprised enemy which leads to another attack round. Most enemies are almost dead before they even get a turn.
Your build is cool but why would you PACT your weapon and bind it to your 22 Charisma if you are rocking a 27 strength via Cloud giant elixor? Your weapon bonus would be +8 with the STR and only +6 with your CHR.
I really like the build! I was trying something similar but you totally nailed it! Keep up the good work! I am not sure how you got your CON up to 23. Doesn't seem to be coming from equipment as far as I've seen. I get that STR is coming from the elixir but what about the CON?
Hey, i havent completed act 1 because no playstyle Suits my liking, but then i saw a weapon type "the spear or halbert" and i was so drawn to that, that i was wondering if you could make a class build revolving a spear or halbert whatever is called haha "i picture it like the manhwa return of the Legendary spear knight" i havent seen any other videos related to that playstyle, only one but i think is outdated

@JasonDunna 3rd attack dkesnt work on honor mode, just in case anyones wondering
@@Beefyjesus0 thanks for mentioning that! I said it in the video but it’s a long video with a lot to cover so thank you
@@JasonDunna yeah but I don’t play outside of honor mode since it was made available to us lol. The game it’s already easy as it is.

Balduran Giantslayer is so good I’ll have to use it on a build like this
I have a npc in 5e fighter /warlock/ bard . Heavy metal specialist
Ooohhh I like it! Heavy metal bard goes hard

I’m using the amulet of greater health! Sets constitution to 23 and gives advantage on constitution saving throws
@@JasonDunna Oh. Ok, thank yoiu for the info. I was a bit confused there xD
My bad I should’ve focused on it a bit more!
noticed your headgear wasnt showing on the characters - how did you do that??
Awesome video!

Great idea! I really like the halberd with sentinel and polearm master, so I’ll come up with a build and let you know!
Tnx nice build
I’m glad you found it useful!
