I like how Rochelle kept bringing everyone down to earth haha. Pointing out cheaper alternatives like with the bamboo rug instead of cane, a framed curtain instead of an expensive piece of art or tapestry, etc.
As soon as Rochelle said "what if you can't thrift a beautiful art piece?" I squealed and knew you were going to mention The Met!! You guys mentioned the public access art from The Met a while ago and I literally use it ALL the time!! Absolutely love that you mentioned it again!
@@terricox3559 the way the shoes were lined up told me this person had a bit of a collection and enjoyed their shoes, so having a designated display for them, rather than just a rack hidden away made sense. Showcase them rather than just store them :)
Chinese major over here enjoying the opportunity to translate the characters on Rachel’s sleeve! Jian Zhen bu qu(坚贞不屈)-means remain faithful and unyielding. 😊
I have a weird window in my living room. I went with a noren curtain (Japanese doorway curtain) with a beautiful scenery on it. It's giving more "art" to the wall, yet also giving privacy and blocking light.
If the room is going to be a library, then you want whatever furniture you choose to be comfy. The idea would be a place to sit and read for long periods of time. French provincial lends itself to a more stiff and formal look imo.
I hope this flavor of “From the workshop floor” episode becomes a regular occurrence! I really enjoyed the flower arranging, Facebook marketplace surprise, and AD bedroom episodes too. (I couldn’t watch y’all roasting your old episodes, as I loved your old work too and couldn’t bear to hear anyone talk shit on them)
I very much enjoy the workshop floor episodes as your design process is shown. I think this episode should be mandatory viewing for every business course which includes 'collaborative design/thinking' as an element. Your respect and acknowledgement of each person's opinions and expertise is peak performance.
I have loved this little extra video on Saturdays! I honestly don't know what the upload schedule usually is otherwise 🙈but I have come to really look forward to this upload! I love seeing you all together and seeing each person's style be on display since you all have such different taste.
We’re trying something new in addition to our regular Tuesday episodes - so thank you for trying it out with us!! Glad you enjoyed this segment (I’m calling it Inferior Interiors 😅)
This is so GREAT thank you! We have a huge task ahead of us this summer/year to completely overhaul our living room as it has become a shapeless dumping room full of stuff - little trinkets, phots everywhere - ARGH! I sometimes look at the room and wonder how the Sorry Girls would redesign it, and all the tips and tricks are so helpful here. We have 3x gorgeous huge frames and NO art in them sitting in our bay window (as an example of the random stuff that's laying around the room!) so the Met website and PVA tip is GOING to be used thank you!!!
Rochelle is totally correct about cats leaving the velvet alone! I got a velvet couch 5 years ago and my cats basically ignore it. It’s because it isn’t woven like other fabrics and is t a good claw sharpener 👍🏻
I have a "pillow quilt" it's called a Quillow! It is a quilt that folds up into a pillow so you can use it however you want. Love watching your videos makes me want to redo my spaces.
On that last one,I was expecting the electrical tape faux pane trick but 23:05 dropdown art/window covering-ladies, you simply HAVE to explore that further! 😍🤩 it’s so fresh and new and I bet you could use your MET hack but get it printed on fabric….🤔💭
Love every room: But, as for the two "Bougie on a Budget" chairs, while they are very pretty and look good in the room, they are not at all what I imagine comfortable chairs for chilling back and reading would be. I'd like to see a more cushiony chair with a higher back. The ideal chair for a moody reading room.
@@lisalally Agreed. Seems like the wrong bookshelf to be above the couch. The amount of times they’re gonna hit their heads on that…😬 Also wished the armchairs looked cozier, like a tufted wingback or something similar.
Do you guys know about the "Korean-Style Cozy" rooms? I don't know if it's clearly in one category but they're easy to apply, and indeed very cozy. They seem to have in common a lot of off-white, minimalism, light wood, rounded corners, low lighting, useful appliences, low to the ground etc. They are great for someone with limited space, living a busy life or alone in an apartment. I think the last room would look great with that direction: it already seems to be on it's way with a classic gingham cover, huge window and rounded mirror. Balancing the dark gingham colors with a few objects here and there, adding cozy shaggy rugs and drapes in light colors and whatever the user needs to have in their bedroom. Just light it with warm accent lights and done! You guys should look this up, I would love to have a video on this style!
Rochelle and Rachel have such a fresh style sense. I think that mid century modern is cool but it’s getting over used as well as earth tones and green. Please try to be more eclectic and push beyond. I like the plum that Rochelle suggested!
For the library space add plants, a globe, tapered candles on the mantle, lantern set, and another cozy chair on the patio door side near the fire place. I like Rochelle's idea for the chairs- the high wing back. They are a true statement peice.
the third room i love, but i would have put curtains on the mirror wall also to make it feel more cozy. you would still have the reflection of light but it would add another layer of coziness to the vibe.
I think the first room definitely needs a rack for for the shoes and the second room needs more comfy chairs since it's a library room! I really liked this episode, it's so fun to see you come up with ideas and design these spaces together! hope you make many more of these episodes!
I've been a subscriber for years, but kinda lost sight of your videos for a couple of months. Now that I found my way back, I'm really enjoying this new type of videos! I love the cosy concept and vibes :) Really great how you keep on coming up with new innovative video formats!
First i was kinda sceptic about this new series but im actually really enjoying these! Now i look forward to every saturday! Keep up the good work girls 😊
Please follow up with these people and see if they actually did the makeover! That would be a great video idea to walk through what they did/didn’t take from the renderings.
Every single time I watch your videos I think how much I would love to work with you guys or how much I would love to do watch you on a daily basis 💘 I just need the courage to change my career path 😅hahahah Loved all your designs and design process and how you transformed the spaces *chef's kiss*
Here's an idea for the last room that might work, or not - peel and stick wallpaper on the mirror doors and on the wall around them. It could be either a mural of a picturesque countryside or a traditional repeating floral. Cover the metallic frames and tracks with washi tape in a color that blends with the wallpaper.
Has there ever been considerations to sell portions of your course 👀 for example I’m not in need of a complete room reno but would love to pay for ‘the find your style’ chapter and get access to the Pinterest board!
I’d liked how you guys explained the difference between what I would call traditional farmhouse, versus modern farmhouse. Traditional farmhouse leans towards antiques and a more collected and eclectic vibe, similar to cottage.
I like how Rochelle kept bringing everyone down to earth haha. Pointing out cheaper alternatives like with the bamboo rug instead of cane, a framed curtain instead of an expensive piece of art or tapestry, etc.
Plus the practical mindset of 'where are the plugs?' 'what's in front of the vents?' can prevent a lot of stress later
Rochelle with the practicality all us dreamers need!
As soon as Rochelle said "what if you can't thrift a beautiful art piece?" I squealed and knew you were going to mention The Met!! You guys mentioned the public access art from The Met a while ago and I literally use it ALL the time!! Absolutely love that you mentioned it again!
Yes such a good hack!!
That first room, the way his shoes were all lined up NEEDED a shoe rack/wall moment!
Maybe under the platform bed she could have some storage for them
Whats the difference between a shoe rack and a shoe rack moment...
@@terricox3559 the way the shoes were lined up told me this person had a bit of a collection and enjoyed their shoes, so having a designated display for them, rather than just a rack hidden away made sense. Showcase them rather than just store them :)

Thank you for this 🙏💘
That’s beautiful :’)
can i just say that Becky's hair always looks STUNNINGGGGG!!
Her hair is always PERFECTT
these episodes give “brunch with the girls” and i love it 😍
Content brunch with us every Saturday!
Looooved the concept of this episode! Please do more like this, helping design your audience’s rooms :)
we loved it too! will def do it again😁
YES!! It’s giving another series spin-off!! I could watch episodes like this -brainstorming to rendering- all day!
I have a weird window in my living room. I went with a noren curtain (Japanese doorway curtain) with a beautiful scenery on it. It's giving more "art" to the wall, yet also giving privacy and blocking light.

I was just about to say this. Those are not reading armchairs whatsoever 🥲

I don’t think I can accurately explain how much joy this new series brings me fr
The renderings are so amazing! I would love to see those incorporated in more projects you guys do!
Bedroom #1 Make the bed platform the shoe storage and extra storage
Genius
I'm loving FTWF! It's a fun lowkey way to hang out and let your personalities shine through while getting extra content. ❤
Cannot express how much I love this new series! It keeps getting better!
🥹 thanks for being here
I have loved this little extra video on Saturdays! I honestly don't know what the upload schedule usually is otherwise 🙈but I have come to really look forward to this upload! I love seeing you all together and seeing each person's style be on display since you all have such different taste.
To be honest, from the workshop floor episodes haven’t been my favorite. But I REALLY enjoyed this episode. Please do more of these!
We’re trying something new in addition to our regular Tuesday episodes - so thank you for trying it out with us!! Glad you enjoyed this segment (I’m calling it Inferior Interiors 😅)
Agree with both your points.
Funny, I’ve loved all the other ones but this one less. 😊
I've enjoyed all of them!
Can’t say it enough I love this series! To whoever thought this up BRAVO!!
Obsessed with the wabi sabi design!!! I cannot stop thinking about it!!!!!
I think this is my favourite format of the on the shop floor so far!
I loved all the spaces, but I feel like you give the farmhouse a new take, and I love it, I loved this new definition of the farmhouse 🤩
We’re loving it too! Realized this after the fact but farmhouse and cottage core have a lot of overlap!
This is so GREAT thank you! We have a huge task ahead of us this summer/year to completely overhaul our living room as it has become a shapeless dumping room full of stuff - little trinkets, phots everywhere - ARGH! I would say “cottage” is the way to describe the better & less tacky farmhouse with fun eclectic patterns ❤
this is the first From the Workshop Floor I felt enticed to watch - I love seeing how y’all brainstorm and collaborate!!
I love these episodes. It’s so great to see you all together and to have a fun and creative space to brainstorm and implement ideas.
Rochelle is totally correct about cats leaving the velvet alone! I got a velvet couch 5 years ago and my cats basically ignore it. It’s because it isn’t woven like other fabrics and is t a good claw sharpener 👍🏻
My cat clawed the my velvet (cotton from Article) couch. Ripped up! Some cats claw and some don’t. 🤷♀️
For the moody library you could add a white blackout roller to the window and a projector in the shelve. Would make for a perfect home cinema.
last room is exactly what i’ve been looking for to make my very granny leaning room more playful and colorful ❤
These videos have been such a treat every weekend
I have a "pillow quilt" it's called a Quillow! It is a quilt that folds up into a pillow so you can use it however you want. Love watching your videos makes me want to redo my spaces.
I think that painting/blind idea is just waiting to be attempted! Future episode perhaps?
On that last one,I was expecting the electrical tape faux pane trick but 23:05 dropdown art/window covering-ladies, you simply HAVE to explore that further! 😍🤩 it’s so fresh and new and I bet you could use your MET hack but get it printed on fabric….🤔💭
Bedroom #1: please get some shoe storage! helps the vibe 100%
Make the bed platform the shoe storage
Loooove this style of video. The 4 of them. The soothed calm vibes. The inspiration! 😍😍😍

I'd like to see a more cushiony chair with a higher back. The ideal chair for a moody reading room.
I was surprised they went for the chair with cane instead of the wingback chair they showed earlier, wingbacks fit right in with library vibes
Also, you can’t have the couch tucked in under a shelf…limited headspace above isn’t practical.
@@lisalally Agreed. Seems like the wrong bookshelf to be above the couch. The amount of times they’re gonna hit their heads on that…😬 Also wished the armchairs looked cozier, like a tufted wingback or something similar.
I appreciate the renderings - it really helped me as a visual learner to see what ya'll see.

My favorite so far! I loved seeing the sketches of the room as you brainstorm, and then the final render at the end!
I absolutely love the idea of art roller blind - functional art 😍
My favorite From the Floor so far - but all are so fun!
I work with kids and teach a class on technical theatre and prop making and I taught them your oil painting hack because it's honestly so good!!
🥹 omg thanks Teach!
I love this, it could definitely be a series. I learned so much by doing three different rooms in quick succession. Thank you!
The way Rachel says „Becky said yes” made me giggle 😂
The transformations are so inspiring and cozy ❤I like these episodes
Rochelle and Rachel have such a fresh style sense. I think that mid century modern is cool but it’s getting over used as well as earth tones and green. Please try to be more eclectic and push beyond. I like the plum that Rochelle suggested!
😂 I absolutely loved y'alls coffee mugs. They were so funny and creative. More FTWF videos, i felt like I was hanging out with all of you!❤
I love love love this as a concept!! so fun to see your quick takes on peoples real places!
This was so much fun! Getting to see the thought process waas so inspiring ❤ great concept!
For the library space add plants, a globe, tapered candles on the mantle, lantern set, and another cozy chair on the patio door side near the fire place. I like Rochelle's idea for the chairs- the high wing back. They are a true statement peice.
obsessed with becky's ducky mug!!! its so silly and cute
I have that leaf fan 😊
And I love it! 🌴
the third room i love, but i would have put curtains on the mirror wall also to make it feel more cozy. you would still have the reflection of light but it would add another layer of coziness to the vibe.
I really love this new contacts I love how you shake up the different people too keep this coming
More to come!
Love them and their different personalities x had so much fun hahah
I love this episode's theme.
14:52 Kelsy really summoned all the swifties❤
I think the first room definitely needs a rack for for the shoes and the second room needs more comfy chairs since it's a library room! I really liked this episode, it's so fun to see you come up with ideas and design these spaces together! hope you make many more of these episodes!
AHHHHH I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!! PLEASE LET ME SEND YOU MY LIVING ROOM. I NEED SO MUCH HELP!!!
Love the idea of an art print roller blind! It would be so cool to see how that hack works out in an actual makeover
The farmhouse room would normally sound like a nightmare but it’s giving cute grama and I love it
I lololololove these episodes where they all builde so much new room inspo‘s 🥰😍👌✨
This was a fun Saturday video!
This was really good. I think the last one is the most surprising change.
Loving these from the workshop floor episodes!!
Loved the last toom more then i thought i would !
I have very limited cabinet space in my kitchen. Could you do a video for storage solution or how to add more cabinets/match what's there?
When Beckyasked, "do we think there's enough mid modern century..." I thought the same thing they said... You're the expert. 😍
This has been the best addition to my Saturdays!
SAME
These were SO good! I hope they do them and submit their photos!!
I like this format for the Saturday show.
Loving this series :D
I've been a subscriber for years, but kinda lost sight of your videos for a couple of months. Now that I found my way back, I'm really enjoying this new type of videos! I love the cosy concept and vibes :) Really great how you keep on coming up with new innovative video formats!
Thanks for being here 🥰
Oh my god this is like Sorry Girls X AD Space Savers!!! Would love to see this come back every so often!
We’re calling it Inferior Interiors. Decided right after we filmed the episode 😅
First i was kinda sceptic about this new series but im actually really enjoying these! Now i look forward to every saturday! Keep up the good work girls 😊
What a great video! I love the last room the best-- it looks so pretty!
Loving Kelsey's green dress! ❤
This is a great video format! Love how you design by committee! And it actually mostly worked. Not sure about the Bordeaux library.
Oooh I love this design show/format!
Lovely episode, thanks) The eras moodboard cracked me up. Watched the the whole thing from my plounge. 😂
I love this series❤
yaayy❤
This was great! Would love to see more of these from The Workshop Floor!😘
definitely noted!👀
Please follow up with these people and see if they actually did the makeover! That would be a great video idea to walk through what they did/didn’t take from the renderings.
I just checked other art museums have open source as well!!!! The art institute in Chicago had a huge collection of paintings.
The farmhouse room reminds me of a cabin/lodge feel when rendered.
My name is Kate and I had a vintage bed frame just like the one you all showed 😍
Great video…. would love to see more of these.
This was fun to watch!❤
Every single time I watch your videos I think how much I would love to work with you guys or how much I would love to do watch you on a daily basis 💘 I just need the courage to change my career path 😅hahahah Loved all your designs and design process and how you transformed the spaces *chef's kiss*
Love this video concept! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
The farmhouse room ended up looking like a cabin at an expensive resort camp, like Mrs. Maisel era. Not that farmy at all. But I'm super into it.
This is so good. It would be SO great if you did your own version/render based on the brief and then shared and discussed the ideas
In a library, club reading chairs are a must. Facing window so you glance up when turning page to see nature…..
that is definitely a vibe😌
I think swivel chairs could achieve that as well!
Has there ever been considerations to sell portions of your course 👀 for example I’m not in need of a complete room reno but would love to pay for ‘the find your style’ chapter and get access to the Pinterest board!
Open shelves are not the same as built in bookcases. You can leave openings where all the plugs and vents are.
I’d liked how you guys explained the difference between what I would call traditional farmhouse, versus modern farmhouse. Traditional farmhouse leans towards antiques and a more collected and eclectic vibe, similar to cottage.
Love this video concept!
Loved everything except that fan in the farmhouse bedroom!! Fan would be fine but that one was very modern and. It very farm-housey!
