@@big_sea have you seen emobur video title is: *Wilbur becomes emo (emobur)* 💀💀 by: *streamers Stan account* he sounds very aussie then but be warned it’s *CURSED VERY CURSED*
it’s easy for most British people to sing in an American accent, as lots of songs in the media are sung with an american accent, so it doesn’t sound right for us to sing all those songs in our accent, therefore we get used to just singing in an american one.
I’m seeing lots of people say American!bur is scary, but I genuinely think it’s fucking amazing! As an American who wishes they were able to change to different accents, this blows my mind pfff
I think it's actually a bit easier to do American and British accents when singing, at least based on how I was taught, anyway. I was taught to sort of lessen the "intensity" of my r's when singing, because it generally sounds better. In other words, it's sort of like doing a British accent (some parts of it, anyway). To sound completely American when singing, you pretty much just ignore that rule and you're done.
As a Pole and a Polish native speaker, where Polish basically doesn't have accents nowadays, it blows my mind that English has so many freaking accents and how people can just nail someone's home town or state or whatever based on how they pronounce certain words or sounds. Meanwhile, while I consider my English listening skills to be decent, at least for someone who's never lived in an English speaking country, I'm like "I can't even tell whether this person is American or British, let alone Australian, unless I focus specifically on their speech patterns)". Kinda envy y'all, lmao.
@@NovacootSnapshots the way he sings is kinda similar to the way tom delonge sang while in box car racer (especially at the beginning), maybe thats why it reminds you of blink-182 :)

Yeah...it reminds me of My brother in law. When he speaks Spanish, his voice gets...thicker? Lower? He switches back to (General American) English and his tone sounds thinner... Does speaking with an American accent just calls for our voices to become thinner and brighter? Does Amer
I think it’s…at least for americans, the media portrayal of british is often older and more fancy types and there is a subconscious association between the accent and….well….older people. So in essence, media portrayal has created a subconscious link in many American minds that makes us perceive British accents as sounding “old”.
He doesnt sound bad in american accent. But it's normal to hear him in brittish so it scares me when he just started singing american live. Also I just love the chat that went from "WOOOO! CATJAM! POP OFF KING" to "NOOOOOOOOOOOO"
That’s honestly so true, accents really do change your voice. I’m learning Swedish and I swear to god my voice goes down a whole octave when I speak it lol.
it's honestly freaky/amazing how he almost seems to melt into a different person while he's singing like this, but then he looks at chat, and he smiles and he laughs, and the wilbur we know and love returns in an instant
His voice is so much higher- Will my voice get lower if I speak in a British accent? No it doesn’t I need to go very high to get even close to a British accent
Sometimes people just have to change their whole voice to get the accent they need! If you don't know how to make an accent flow through your regular voice naturally then your voice in general might change. As far as English accents go, I shove the way I say things closer to the front of my mouth, drop half my r's, and call it a day. Also, Wilbur's voice can go low but his voice is still relatively high, and that can sound pretty different depending on accent. When I imagine Wilbur with an American accent he ends up with a higher voice. This is all just observational
Wills voice is actually quite high for a British person naturally. And most people when doing an American accent go high pitched and a bit nerdy sounding or lower and Western cowboy/southern. Imo the words you use can help for the accent. So practice a very cockney sentence, like: ELLO ELLO, YA-ALRIYYGHT MAYTE? (usually answered with YEAH YOU?, It's more of a rhetorical question, if you started to actually talk about how you've been then they would probably be weirded out) don't fully stop pronouncing the T's but very softly almost unoticabally. With the word mate it's more of a mayyyyyte than a maaaate. If you move further towards Essex which is a chavy and fairly rough area (where I'm from) you will here the more drawn out A's. Also Z is pronounced ZED and not ZEE. Here's a conversation I had with my friend yesterday. Him: Y'ALRIYGHT MAYT ME: YE IM DECENt, YOU? HIM: YE, I THOUGHT YOUS WAS COMIN ON THE OLD CALL OF DUTY LAST NIGHT ME: NARR MAYT, I WAS PLAYING GTA HIM: YEA I WOS TRYIN TO INVIYYTE YAS BUT IT WERNT LETING ME. ME: YE, NO I WERNT GETING NO INVS LAD. that's all I remember. I typed it more how it sounds. Another thing is try and do a bit of Australian accent just barely. For some reason aswell I find it easier if I start with my mouth open. Also remember that getting drunk at 14,15,16,17 is perfectly fine with most people and football is a massive part of our lives. Look up some chant we sing there's a very good video that could help you learn the accents, it's got about 1.5 million views I think. Basically football in Europe and Asia is the only sport apart from cricket in Asia. Last thing. I believe that the UK is Northern Ireland, Wales Scotland England. Britain is Wales Scotland England. England is the biggest part from the bottom to just over halfway to the top. That's were Scotland begins, there is also a small cuttoff which is Wales. Banter is also a huge thing we joke about quite deep things and insult eachother alot. We also swear much more. Cunt, twat, piss, fucker, slapper, bastard, tits. These are common you are unlikely to hear someone say bitch btw just a side note. Enjoy, overall understand the culture, listen to the music, watch the films and series, know about the sports and the wars. We call the Welsh sheep shaggers sometimes, we quite like the Scots and it's a mixed bag with the Irish.
