Faith based on decree ( belief system) such christianity has this analytical tendency going wild in their over thinking rather than judaism/ islam ( for its deed)... Which is at the end better to talk the walk, or walk the talk??...
Post christian era in europ and usa has big damaging impact,...🤔

As a Muslim, it seems to me that Muslim theologians have purposefully ignored the philosophical challenges to theology in general. It was regarded as corruptive to the belief of the general population to open up the dialogue and bring their points to the public’s attention. It was thought to be better for the health of the belief of the community to drop the whole subject of philosophy altogether especially since that there was little or no public interest in it to speak of. So Muslim theologians refrained from bringing these subject matters to the public attention during Medieval Islam. Of course, they could afford at the time to let go of philosophy for different historical & contextual reasons. However, in this era of interconnectivity it is no longer feasible to take such a passive role by deliberately opting to disengage with philosophical ideas especially the critique emerging from neo-atheism. I think Islamic thinkers will have to learn from Christian theologians some tricks of the trade and begin to engage seriously with philosophy.

Islam is a fake religion anyway so why bother tinkering with Philosophy?

I do wonder what it would be like if there some sort a reformation in islamic context..
Will there be same sort an islamic enlightenment too...
And what effect on the core of its belief system?..
Would they dare to do it anyway??

@@budyharianto8229 I don’t think ‘daring’ has much to do with it. It’s simply a matter of an intellectual exercise if you want to see it this way. The theologians’ position, I think, has been that philosophy as an enterprise is illusionary and deceive and as such would corrupt the public’s belief in God. To them, there was no virtue to be gained from engaging with philosophers especially that the public wasn’t so keen on discussing philosophical ideas from a secular perspective. So I think they will only seek to engage with philosophy more seriously if they feel that there were merits to be acquired which would then contribute to belief. Alternatively, they would take it seriously, I think, if it is shown to impose serious challenges to belief or to their orthodox approach to understanding religion and life and in return replacing them. I think the latter is a more promising approach to (re)introduce philosophy to the Muslim world. But why do you want to see philosophy coming to Islam in the Western sense when you claim it’s been destructive for Christianity?

I hope that the western has contributed in this matter, that we can learn the lessen from them,....
Do you think islam can approach the philosophy in the "eastern sense" of it?...
Or somehow the culture has not allowed such (enough) "freedom" to engage in such enterprise.. ?
Example biblical archeology vs modern science...
We learn only from western perspective of it, right?..

What is "the theological task", and why does anyone have to do it? How is it a justifiable use of Christian time and resources as opposed to the attempt simply to follow Jesus' commandments or live righteously or engage in the struggle against the principalities and powers of this world for the kingdom of God on earth? I have the same sort of question about the phrases "doing theology" and "being church". I understand the appeal obviously otherwise I wouldn't be listening, but I do wonder about the temptation to engage in forms of intellectual distraction and abstraction rather than getting on with doing what Jesus said.

I entirely sympathise - many of the greatest theologians of history were themselves pastors, evangelists, teachers of God’s people first, before anything else. And what’s more, academic theologians really are far too often disconnected from piety and scoff at submission to the local church.
However, the ‘theological task’ is quite simply the responsibility of every individual believer and every generation of the church to give an account of the Gospel, to articulate and reflect on the all that God has said, all that we say about him, and our experience of life with him (and together as his people). To ask how it is a justifiable use of Christian time is like asking how breathing is a justifiable expense of energy - ie one might very well not like this, but reality dictates that it’s necessary. So here: you talk of ‘getting on with doing what Jesus said’, but that assumes a theological conclusion. (Chiefly, that it is better to do what Jesus has said than talk about it.) I agree with that conclusion, but it is nevertheless still the result of you ‘doing theology’. If we abdicate that task, the result is just doing theology badly.

It is some sort of the greek context from early church,.. doing with philosohy...
Faith in greek (pistis) vs in hebrew (emunah)...reflect those thinking pattern...
Intellectual abstraction vs simple faithful following...
Proclaiming and decree is becoming the trademark of western christianity,...
There is no place for simple faithful following faith; for it is so unsophisticated and jewish...
Even the danger of over thinking and speculation is somehow allowed ...
      And it becoming more :
      No walk just talk...(?)
A fruitful breeding ground for such such lgbt movement ist layed in that sort: no walk just talk...🤔

@@budyharianto8229 And the less walk there is, the fewer people listen to the talk. The process of secularisation makes God seem imaginary because his name doesn't change anything in their world. We have to do that changing, of the world and in their lives, so that they know that Jesus is Lord.
