  • Order "Live At Knebworth '76": mercury-studios.lnk.to/Lynyrd...
On August 21, 1976, Lynyrd Skynyrd took the stage at Knebworth as part of a daylong festival which also included Todd Rundgren’s Utopia, 10cc and The Rolling Stones. The show has gone down in Lynyrd Skynyrd history as one of the band’s greatest performances. The 1976 Knebworth show features Ronnie Van Zant’s iconic vocals and their famed triple guitar attack of Gary Rossington, Allen Collins and Steve Gaines in front of a crowd estimated between 150,000 and 200,000. Their entire performance from that day is here for you to witness the classic Lynyrd Skynyrd in all its glory with cleaned up visuals and remixed audio, available on DVD+CD, Blu-ray+CD and DVD+2LP.

Personally I like Allen but it takes both Gary and Allen’s playing to make the first album which is easily their best. Ed king only played guitar on one song on pronounced. Ed really didn’t play bass very well so when the second album came time he was involved a lot more. But Gary and Allen were always bouncing off each other. Ronnie played shows barefoot. My aunt met him back in 1975 backstage before the show.
Ronnie said... It was about him being in touch with the stage and the music under his feet. He could feel the rhythm and it flowed upward through him.

    • @jaydee6837

@@j-5087 I think he meant he could just keep the beat-count better by feeling them through feet instead of tapping his foot to the beats like everyone else seems to do.
