it is actually quite hary amd can hold stuff a basket like this can carry.. ofcourse, u cannot put in very heavy stuff..but u can definitely add a harder base if u make it.. keep watching

+nono ono it is actually quite strong...but ultimately it is made out od paper so u cannot possibly think of carrying really heavy stuff in it...and stitching it would be difficult, as in, the bottom part... n thank you for liking my work... keep watching
nono ono It would be possible to make it stronger using a more traditional basket weaving technique. To do this you would have to weave the paper 'spills' or rods making up the sides into the base and then join in more as you weave up the sides. It would be best to start with fairly long spills and join them strongly. Look up traditional Willow basketmaking and you will see how to do it but it will be a bit more complicated than the method shown here.
Super creative. I have tons of magazines I was thinking of throwing away in recycling trash can. Do you remember about how long it took you to make your first newspaper bag?,
