Hi Jenny I have a question concerning the last example sentence, "Ihre Stühle sind schwarz". You said it can either mean, 'Their chairs are black' or 'Her chairs are black'. I initially thought it could also mean 'Her chairs are black'. If this is not the case, please could you explain why? I have been going over the lesson and brainstorming and can't figure out why. Hope you find the time to reply. Thanks so much for your wonderful lessons.
Many thanks for your video, Jenny. It's always so informative. I have one small question: Shouldn't in this video title, the word "Article" be replaced by Pronoun. The reference for this I determined from your lecture (35); Table showed on time: 4:42/8:18. I may be wrong but I wrote here what I felt technically (again I might be wrong).
It is indeed flawless. I am not sure, but I think she lived in the US when she was a kid. She lived in Argentina as well. I must have watched a video where she tells her life story.
Possessive article is different from Possessive pronoun as it comes before the noun and used as a article. It is more like possessive determiner. But the two types of possessives function differently, for example: My dog is brown vs. That brown dog is mine. The possessive determiner - my - comes in front of a noun as part of a noun phrase. The possessive pronoun - mine - actually replaces a noun / noun phrase So don't post confusing title Possessive Pronoun! Inside video it is mentioned .I like your videos just a tip.
I am little confused with the formal way to address people in plural, because the examples are in English and you and your are equal in plural or singular.. What I understand from this lesson and the one before is that Ihr (2dn plural person) is completely informal. I thought "Sie" was the formal way to address ONE person not several at once. Therefore, If a teacher is talking to her young *studentS* she could say to them "Ihr sind laut" or "Eure Hosen sind blau" but If she's talking to the *MemberS* - MANY MEMBERs - of the Educational Board Should she say "Sie sind leise" or "Ihre Hosen sind rot"? Is the the way it is?
Yes, that is correct (if I may make a small correction: it would be "Ihr seid leise" ^^). The formal way to address people both in singular and plural is "Sie". This "Sie" is used just like the 3rd person plural grammatically speaking. Some centuries ago, the 2nd person plural was used to address people in a formal way (Ihr glaubt, Ihr habt etc.) This is not used today anymore however, except in media about those times or in fantasy settings (to sound more old school).
I'm super super confused by Possesive pronouns and possive Artikel... Possive pronouns (my , his ,her , your ,their, our, ) Possessive Artikel (mine, his , hers, yours, thiers, ours) ??? Is that correct.

Is she German? I ask because her English is very good; barely, if any, accent.
It is indeed flawless. I am not sure, but I think she lived in the US when she was a kid. She lived in Argentina as well. I must have watched a video where she tells her life story.
Yes exactly 😊

Hallo Ich lerne Deutsch
I wonder if possesive pronouns must be used in nominative case.
Could you clear up my confusion about that?
Tschüs
Can i get a job in the germany without knowing german? Actually, i am thinking to take a job search visa. Please answer
Hi you told about application, lingloni.com,
Its a website or application. If application
Plz mention link.
Thanks
prima!
How will you say to more than one person in a formal way??
Is everything spoken and taught in high German?
I'm super super confused by Possesive pronouns and possive Artikel...
Possive pronouns (my , his ,her , your ,their, our, )
Possessive Artikel (mine, his , hers, yours, thiers, ours) ??? Is that correct.
How does the verb changes with Possessive pronouns? I see that "wohnt" is used for "Ihre", instead of wohnen.
Is Jenny German? I was confused cuz she has a really good English pronunciation. So I thought she's a English native. Is it wrong...?
❤
Wie ist ihr Name? ... Is this question right ??!?!!
Last one can also be "Her shoes are black"
👏👏
I love you
Why? Just why?
Hey, Jenny, Please, correct the title: Possessive Pronouns instead of Possessive Articles.
Du bist sehr schön und -deine- Augen sind schön.
i'm looking for someone who wants to speak german with me.
Jenny is so beautiful
👍👍👍👍👍👍✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
JAJAJAJAJAJA
Why do you speak in English all the time?
Why is water wet?
