Learn German Lesson 24 - Possessive articles (Nominative case) | Possessivartikel (Nominativ)
You have already learned the German pronouns in lesson 11. In Lesson 24 you will learn “Possessive articles” such as mine, yours or his (mein, dein, sein) in nominative case. For every pronoun in German there is a possessive article.
In addition to a detailed explanation to explain possessive articles, there are also examples to make the topic clear to you.
At the end of the video, you will find a summarized table with all the possessive articles that you will learn.

This is very helpful along with those charts that you have prepared for us the audience. it's a must that we have to identify if the article comes from DER DIE or DAS otherwise the sentence will be wrong.

Hello, in the guidance charts, tables and other sites, for neutrals the article ends with "s". meins - deins- seins etc. But in your video masculine and neutral are the same. Which one is the right one? Thank you
Why are these words (mein/dein/sein etc.) called possessive artikel instead of possessive pronoun in Nominativ case? In lecture 34, you called meinem/deinem as possessive pronoun in Dativ case. And you mentioned artikel der/das/die/ein/kein as Artikel in Akkusativ (lesson 26) which makes sense. You should correct this in lecture 24 & 27.
The videos are really helpful btw, Vielen Dank!
In German, mein, dein, sein, etc., are called "possessive articles" (Possessivartikel) when they appear before a noun (e.g., mein Auto). They work like determiners, similar to der, das, or ein. They only function as "possessive pronouns" (Possessivpronomen) when they stand alone without a noun (e.g., Das ist meiner).
Dankeschön
Sehr gut
Very helpful for my exam^^
Can you please send the link for which Sie should be used and where? I couldn't find from the link

Thank u so much ❤ I have a question.. If I have A2 in German, can I continue my education in Germany and after continue to learn German there?
Yes I think so. But every university has different rules. Most universities require a B1

Hi
Ich habe eine frage in the above video in these time 3:03 2:34 2:55 you used Das with multiple meanings like in 3:03 you used das as these in 2:55 you used das as this and in 2:34 you used das as that .
So that means that Das has multiple meanings ?
Danke !!!
Ja, es hat viele bedeutungun
genau!
I am a little bit loss in minutes 8:25 "Wir sind eine Familie" ..why use "eine" here? back to Lektion 20 is said plural doesn't have unbestimmte artikel (ein/eine). Can somebody explain? (today is 31 May 2024, I decided to learn German autodidak from youtube and choose this channel. Started 17 February 2024. I am a slow learner but I enjoy this 1.5 months studying German. Imagine if 1.5 months I used to scroll social media endlesslly. Very proud with myself)
Did you find an answer, if not familie is feminine
Which app for worksheet?
Thank you for yet another great video! But in the worksheet meant for this lesson, I think the 5th answer should rather be "meine", instead of "unsere". Please do correct me if I'm wrong. :)
Yup same question......
Yes you are right its meine Tochter
@@moroccansudoku8038 Thank you very much for the clarification😌
Haha you are welcome i just saw your comment was 8 months ago 😅🤣
Lol
In sie she possesisive Artikel ihr ihre ihr ihre. Will be There it means for object in masculine will be ihr and in feminine it will be ihre. Im little confused please can you clear my doubt
In German, ihr and ihre agree with the gender and number of the noun, not the owner:
ihr for masculine and neuter nouns (e.g., ihr Bruder, ihr Buch).
ihre for feminine and plural nouns (e.g., ihre Schwester, ihre Bücher).
Hope that clears it up!
How to know the article whether die r der ?
To know if the article is der, die, or das, you generally need to memorize the gender of each noun in German:
Der is for masculine nouns (e.g., der Tisch - the table).
Die is for feminine nouns (e.g., die Lampe - the lamp).
Das is for neuter nouns (e.g., das Buch - the book).
Unfortunately, there aren't strict rules for determining gender, so practicing with each noun and using tools like flashcards or repetition can help you remember.
der is masculine and die is feminine
Please I have a question. In the case of the pronoun "es". Will one still use "sein/seine" if the child is a girl?
addition of e depends on whether its a plural or singular. the article for girl child is das so you use sein
Thank for these wonderful videos. I'm having challenges downloading the worksheet. I can access it. What could be the problem please?
What is the exact problem?
I get these videos. But whenever i see the sample exam paper i get confused like nothing from here is included in the exam. What should i do
Do exam practice
What is the use of r, s, e, and e, before their name
And
I got confused in where is article die in sentence.
Explain please 7:58
r - der, s - das, e - die (Singular n Plural)
hallo, danke schon for these classes but I have a question on the worksheet of this lecture 24 question number 5. why did you use unsere tochter instead of meine tochter ???? please answer me Danke

it's hard, you have to memorise them all.
Hallo, ich habe eine Frage bette, Sie ist für Singular formel warum sagen wir Sind Sie ein Team? Nicht seit ihr ein Team?Danke
I think remembering the sie, SIe, and the ihr is one of the hardest thing about learning German, these words are so confusing
true. we have a video that explains the difference
ich habe eine frage, why did you put r before fernseher and s before auto?
"r" stands for "der", "s" stands for "das", and "e" stands for "die".

Why is tge 5th questions answer is unsere
Please someone explain me
Yea i thought it should be meine
why did we refer to kind: boy with es: it
Is this possessive pronounce or article.?
It's create confusion?
Should the title be Possesivpronomen im Nominativ? Or is it right as Possesivartikel?
Have you figured it out? I am also confused about it so..
Can you explain why did you use " ES" to child like it is just a thing? 🤔
because the article is "das" - Das Kind
@@LearnGermanOriginal OK thanks
In your worksheet of this chapter for the last question shouldnt it be: 'Ich bin Hans. Das ist meine Tochter'
instead of 'Ich bin Hans. Das ist unsere Tochter.' ? Since we are using 'Ich' and not 'Wir'?
Yeah. It should be 'mein' if I'm correct
@gabriel's comments were useful, but now he doesn't appear
