Fell into a pool the depth was about 1m with a Pixel 7 in my pocket (also IP68) the phone was 3 months old. The screen and flashlight started doing random things and now the phone is unrepairable. Warranty is void because it was damaged by liquids and the phone is water resistant (not waterproof).
These phones are smart enough to sense moisture in the charging port so if you don't have that notification you would be good to charge right away. I would give it a good shake and wipe down (and still wait a few hours if you can) for good measure!
That infographic you have there is misleading, not to say wrong. IPx8 only states immersion at at least 1 meter depth, how long is up to the manufacturer. Google doesn't seem to have shared the numbers they certified directly, but many news outlets say it's 30 minutes at 1.5 meters, which interestingly are the same numbers that Samsung specify for their IPx8 products.
