For military: I would first research raider as I can produce 10+ while increasing my supply. Keep on their constant production while I reseach basic armour and weapon and then tech up or get the defender, and raiding near enemy with aprox 30-40 ships while I unlock tier 2 ships.

I had skipped the labor camps for a long time till I saw that the buff built off it applies even if you don't build the labor camp. It turns out the labor camps are super cheap as well so I am always building it. I put off phase resonance for a little while because I am rushing resources early game but I make sure to leave civ slots open for them when I do get to them. I like the other faction more thematically but Exodus is so good with building half of your stuff on your ships that I can't go back.

How can the buff apply if you don't build them?

Just wana give my 2 cents as a main Vasari player as I would reserach the empire side in a very different order: first for me is always the orbital extraction becase by the time you unlock it your colonizing your fist meteor/moon area with no surface extraction and also filling up available slots on home planet (all metal), second is the next planet suface colonization (if possible always oceanic or volcanic and then oceanic), third is the labour camp for fast construction and then the improved surface mining. I definetly wouldnt worry about researching exotics unlater later on, it wont be needed early game. Also, Vasari will be raiding enemies early on, get the optimized phase drives + at least 1 or 2 lvls of phase resonance movement so you can zip around harassing closest enemy.

I’ve got 7-8 full games on Vasari, mostly Exodus but a couple on Alliance, on top of 5-10 hours of research and guides from experienced players. I suggest you play more Vasari games and then revisit the topic when you’re well informed.
    1. Orbital extraction is a 50/50 on opening use depending on planets around you. Some people opt to spend the rss on fleet in the opener and save orbital extraction for the 3rd or 4th planet/asteroid control in combination with planet items in order to balance out rss income since it’s so dependent on planet availability. If you get 2 ice planets and you’ve already built a lot of crystal orbital extractors, you played yourself because you’re just gonna be short on metal and orbital slots. Orbital extractors are the least efficient way of gaining rss, although they certainly do have their place in Vasari economy after the first 15 minutes or even 25 for some people.
    2. exotic refinery is such a waste of orbital slots, I just build them into my cap ship slots and save the 3 orbital slots for much, much more useful things. It is slightly more expensive to do so but as long as you don’t lose a cap ship that it’s installed on, it is 1000% better to do it this way, most cap ship items arent very good on Vasari and this ship item essentially gives you +3 orbital slots by trading a little bit of rss and a cap ship item slot. You don’t need exotic refineries until T3 tech, just survey planets if you need exotics. You can already have 3 Capitol ships with what rss you are provided at start. Once these three ships are leveled they are unlikely to die and you will have 3 onboard refineries and +9 orbital slots which is HUGE.
    3. No need to rush phase resonators. They are good but not better than the other T1 options + fleet expansions… start building resonators once you’ve gained control of the local system, 4-5 planets/asteroids.
Can’t watch the rest of the video if it’s already this uninformed within the first 3 minutes. Will revisit your channel in the future though :)

Appreciate the feedback! Curious what difficult do you normally play and what's your main fleet build?

@@ShadowcoastGaming so far I’ve beaten unfair difficulty pretty handily in 8 player FFA and another map 3v3, was gonna start a nightmare run today if I had time and start into PvP when I have time for a longer single session.
I’m still doing a lot of experimentation with fleet but I start with a skirantra carrier cap ship and a Vulkoras Desolator (missile ship single target high DPS) on top of the Jarasul colonizer capital that you start with. These three carriers carry me through the early game. Mid game I prioritize getting one of each of the capital ships and then I just build desolators and skirantras only, with a ratio of 3 to 1 or so.
As for non Capital, I’ll just list the ones I use and in what quantity (late game):
      Sulsurak Defensors (30-50)
      Tosurak Raiders (10-20)
      Kanrak Assailants (30-50)
Serevun overseer (2-5 max, late game research)
      Lasurak Transporter (5-10)
      Kortovas Oppressor (15-30)
Jusotra Fabricator (1-2 late game research)
Karastra Destructor (5-20 depending if snowballing)
      Jikara Navigator scouts as necessary
There are many different ratios but this at least gives a decent idea of what ships are better than others. I find a healthy mix to make the best fleet. If I didn’t mention a ship it’s because it’s probably best to avoid it entirely.

@@JakoMacro Thanks and appreciate it - seems like you favor a more balanced build in comparison to what I've been running! I'll have to give it a go!

@@ShadowcoastGaming just beat nightmare AI 1v1 in under an hour by rushing home world with 3 cap ships, 60 sulsurak defensors and maybe 10 other ships of varying model. You don’t always need variety I guess! It’s a cheese strat for sure, AI is dumb

Good idea with the cap ship refinery. Though its an exodus thing. Alliance cant do it.

Great video! I trying to learn the vasari alliance and would love to see a guide on them. I may revist the exodus after watching this.

Thanks! On harder difficulties and multiplayer, I find Vasari Alliance pretty challenging but if I get semi-decent happy to post videos!

I would say be careful with surface mining as vasari early some of the better muliplayer guys are rushing orbitals first and not spending anything on surface till later.

the faction bonus feels pretty strong on the vasary, considering how much more power your units get at times it feels like the strongest...
but the advent seem abilities seem weak in comparison, or is it just my feeling?

    • @ShadowcoastGaming
      @ShadowcoastGaming  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

I agree - I don't use a lot of the Advent unique faction mechanics compared to TEC and Vasari! That said, they still dominate with their Tempests and Aria ships!
