I'm sure there is probably new titans but at least in this video both of the vasari titans shown were in the first game.
I started a new strategy with Vasari and I realized they can swarm quite severely. Rush to tier 3 military tech and get the salvager ship. Together with their passive (need to unlock) to salvage resources from destroyed ships + having the ability to produce all small ships, they can very quickly overwhelm your opponent and steal a shit ton of resources. Basically snowballing you into an unstoppable force. On top of that, you can get the strike craft capital ship, get it to lvl 6 and then you can copy your own ships. Copy 1 and get 3 more. Now you have 4 of your copied ship. Those copies are permanent.
@@franklyfrustrating Ok seriously. Did people like you not check the steam page at all when you bought your copy of the game? I see so many people who think the game won't get the 4th race and a story campaign, despite the info being so easily accessible since the launch of the Steam version. Ridiculous.
would be cool if vasari ships had reserach slots on them by a research upgrade. using a slot so important to get 1/25 research slots needed is extremely expensive; ofc then it could be a temporary boost to get a specific research, but pretty sure the research deactivates if you dont have enough research slots available for it even when researched? else you need to first take both to 8 then remove 7 and take one to 15, then remove 15 and take the other to 15, then continue this on 20 and 25. :P
Their research upgrades can make it so that each capital ship with a research module is equivalent to two or even four research stations, meaning just 7 cap ships can research your whole tech tree at the max level.
The Vasari already have research at Tier 3 and 5 that increases the amount of research points provided by Mobile Research Labs to 2 and 4 respectively. With the number of capital ships the Vasari can build, you only need 7 capital ship mobile labs to become fully mobile, and that's before whatever Orkulus Starbases you might build.
@@Erebus2075 if I'm not mistaken, any research you get is permanent, even if you lose research labs. The only thing you lose is the tier bonus (2% weapon DMG I think is the T5 for military). Not 100% sure tho, give it a test yourself with a cheap T1 shield/hull tech! 😁

Vasari don't have strike-craft? That's a bummer, In SoSE 1, my favourite defensive tactics was "hornet nest" - building as much strike-craft defensive stations as possible and watch enemy being swarmed by dozens of angry stingers. Oh well, looks like Advent will be my go-to race...
Yeah Vasari only has bombers (much more superior than all the other races) in smaller numbers, so Advent is the way to go if you want to go all in on small fighters/bombers. TEC are not bad either with that. With the right ship and item, Vasari's bombers become incredibly hard to kill and their damage output is to be feared.
Late reply thing, but no its not the phase resonance. Tosurak raiders have passive ability that lets them generate resources when attacking enemy structures, allowing you to fund your economy while devastating theirs!
@@Kurochana But if you hover over the resources while they grow due to raiders attacking, it shows "Phase resonance" while it does, just like it shows Debris reclamation or other things there at other times.
There could be a reason that Vasari fleets is much more expensive to invest in which make them feel sluggish during early and mid-game, and if they persist through late game, it might make sense for Vasari to get the ability to wield huge number of warships that are superior to other races as well as outnumbered enemy fleets.
@@aimbotster Except that's not the case, Vasari fleets are strong right from the start of the game. Especially having nearly instantaneous access to the Kanrak assailant with long-range phase missiles that melts capital ships. And then having some higher scaling damage upgrades for their weapons than the TEC and Advent as well
Wait, so, let me see if i udnerstand correctly. The phase resonator gives you points based on proximity to thr star - does that mean you can build more phase resonators, each giving a point, or does it mean that you get more per phase resonator? I sadly haven't quite understood that in game yet 🙏
Each planet or asteriod has 1,2, or 3 phase energy. When you build the resonator orbital structure you collect it and can then slot it into a menu to get the buff
The game is generally great but there is really some diplomacy update needed. You can't see an enemies attitude nor how likely they are do accept any of your proposals.
I'm convinced after seeing all these videos (and playing the game), the Advent seem underpowered imo. TEC and Vasari economic and military technology and mechanics are just far superior, and let you snowball that much quicker.
I’m a Vasari Exodus man but Advent Wrath are no joke. Overlapping high psi power abilities, strike craft swarms, and late game culture / Unity powers are nuts. You can also play riskier to expand quickly early because of Unity powers to warp home or heal planets.
Beat the game on nightmare as TEC enclave 1v1 for the 2nd time last night (beaten both tec and Vas) and let me tell you the Advent are by far the hardest race to deal with and the only race I have not beaten on nightmare, I bar them from being in the game because they are just to OP and have made me have to restart every time. In saying that the latest patch nerfed them and also fixed PD overkill which is one of the reason I feel Advent where so OP to start with (plus their psi stacking damage abilities was crazy before nerf) so plan to vs them on my impossible run tonight. Also I feel like the AI cheats as no matter how fast and hard I push economy and I mean perfect push cant be done faster yet when you look at the stats at the end they just kill you in the amount of resource collected until late game, the only saving graces is they take way way to long to go down the upgrading military path eg I had a titan out within 90 min yet they took 4hrs for some reason. (I could have ended the game way before the 4hr mark but wanted to see how the Ai would push back after losing their fleet eg testing how the Ai reacts for future reference) ps dont think I will be able to beat the AI on impossible TBH as Nightmare was hard as fk, only way I see it happening is an all out push before they get up and running so no mid or late game. Problem is they collect so much more than you at the start :(
@@benjaminclement8437 what about them specifically though? And was it related to AI difficulty buffs? I feel like their economy is the issue.. The AI get economy cheats at higher difficulties, so..... Would be keen to see if you can beat nightmare playing as Advent. I'm happy to admit I'm missing some key way to play them?
@@XViper123 Well they would just swarm me from so early in the game with Cap, missiles and laser ships that no matter what I did I just could not defend against them. (games would be over way before mid game) I make a game save 1 sec in that I never save over so I can start again with foresight and this is how I was able to beat the AI on nightmare, (have not beat them without this foresight save) just against the Advent no amount of foresight would help and I tried everything from rush economy to rush mil. Once again have not played against them since the nerf and I totally agree that no matter how perfect you play they just outpace you in economy till late mid game. Last game with a perfect start and foresight that I won the AI was still always 10-15k more resources than me and I am guessing impossible is going to widen the gap. PS never played Sins 1 or Advent before, only faction I have played so far is TEC enclave, once I beat AI on insane will move to other factions :)
Vasari Exodus....always been my first choice. Game is a blast, hoping for additional musical scores, server based matchmaking, and more minor factions in the future. Oh and the AI art assets fking suck, pay more than 2 artists maybe.
eh I'd say Vasari early game isnt all rosey. They are the only faction that starts with no pre-built infrastructure and their capital world is the worst kind of the 3 in my book as it offers no crystal beyond the base +2 of all capitals, and isnt really rich in slots. plus, while they have 2 of each exotic for free at the start, they are the only faction that doesnt get to choose their first capital ship (its always gona be an evacuator with the colonize ability picked) making their early game way more predictable than the other factions (though they are likely to get that second capital sooner than others if they dont need the ressources for something else thanks to those free exotics)
Oh you mean the faction that has to start with a slow-clearing glorified settler ship that has weaker AoE and utility than basic TEC slot items? Without any infrastructure or even factories? Meanwhile TEC can start Kol or Sova and just massacre all neutral units. Sure, defensors are strong but that's it. Raiders die in seconds and thanks to the huge buff in PD the Assailants are completely useless if your opponent brings even a single Garda.
@@Isnogood12 Yea that faction that can go toe-to-toe against nightmare AI. TEC is frankly still too slow and their industry in the beginning always has to yield map control, which means more money for Vasari that can simply ramp up more skirmishers or capital ships if there's too much pd Only a Sova start is viable, but that's the only TEC leverage that works.
Listen here Ironclad, While the improvements you have made to the graphics and and the newly implemented orbital mechanics have been well received, we are still somewhat off put by same, obsolete battle mechanics, where anything bigger than a fighter is just sitting at weapon range and pounding on each other with no thought of manuever. Such battles were considered out of date a decade ago. This is 2024 and you are the victims of your own success, we are now holding you to a higher standard!
"the vasari lack a numerical advantage in the war" except it's literally the exact opposite?? they're the only faction who can have 2400 supply while the other two are capped at 2000. that's an insane advantage in the end game! that's 8 more capital ships in the main attack fleet than others can have. the vasari are my favorite faction to play in sins 2 so far but they feel a bit overpowered to me tbh. having extra fleet supply feels like more of a TEC ability too
the numerical advantage also shows in their ships costing more supply overall if I'm right, so even with the higher cap, not sure it means a bigger fleet if you go for a mix of capitals and frigates/cruisers
Yeah Vasari just don't have the fleet synergies that TEC or Advent get, so that's more an attempt to put them back on somewhat even footing than a real buff.
Maybe think of things outside of a vacuum? Their ships also cost more supply than TEC and advent so yes, they lack the numerical advantage as in have less units out at the same time. Nevermind TEC can have infinite supply with their garrisons and Advent can steal your whole fleet, but that 400 extra supply is the big thing?
The TEC can have practically infinite ships from either Garrisons for Enclave or Insurgencies for Primacy, and the Advent's ability to not only mind control ships but also revive them means they can often exceed their stated fleet cap easily.
@@Isnogood12 vasari can also have practically infinite supply through dark fleet towers. it's not a 1-to-1 with the garrisons/mind control etc but it's still a thing. and most vasari ships might cost more supply but their capital ships (which matter most imo) still cost 50 just like everybody else. and hey I'm not a game dev so I could be wrong and it could be perfectly balanced, just giving my impression that having the vasari get more supply than everyone else when they're said to be few in numbers seems odd
"Have been running for TEN THOUSAND YEARS" - Written by someone who has no understanding of time and scale. The game may be good but the "writing" is hilariously bad. Think about it, the aliens have been _constantly_ on the run for longer than humanity has existed as a civilization. And only now, TEN THOUSAND YEARS later do they happen upon two other factions. Why not leave it vague? Have been running for "generations" or "longer than anyone alive can remember" which would still be stretching it, but be a more realistic 100-200 years? Nope, exactly TEN THOUSAND YEARS. Also using human years to measure time for an alien race. Like this writing is just a bad joke. I don't expect much from an RTS game but this is beyond ridiculous.
You aren't fully aware of the lore. Before the exodus they ruled over 'hundreds of alien races' that they had subjugated near the galactic core. If anything it is odd that variants of humanity are the only other major factions in the current era. Regarding timescales - 10k years is an approximation. And as for human years measuring alien time - it's not as if the lore is written in native Vasari... Not exactly immersive to have all this lore in English and then inexplicably a made-up word for years. Winning a Pulitzer, the writing is not, but still a far cry from 'bad joke'. You're still allowed to dislike things that aren't objectively bad - no need to disparage
After years of disappointing sequels, people called me crazy for still having hopes. Thanks for proving them wrong!

Why do the Vasari get 2400 fleet supply when both other factions are limited to 2000?
You get to build more, each resonator always gives 1 point.
Each planet or asteriod has 1,2, or 3 phase energy. When you build the resonator orbital structure you collect it and can then slot it into a menu to get the buff
man come on i want that flying wing titan on the allies faction side
The game is generally great but there is really some diplomacy update needed. You can't see an enemies attitude nor how likely they are do accept any of your proposals.
Do the alliance faction research still call using slave ? If so quite out of character
Sins of a Solar Empire I was more realistic in ships and laser etc
if they just made it support multicore it will be great
Gonna laugh when it's revealed the "Doom of the Vasari" is just a very angry Doomslayer that ran out of demons to slay.
To be fair, you'd run too
@@stardockgames 110%!!
please add more races. love the game but its dissapointing that we waited 15 years for a sequel only for there to be the same races as the first game.
well, they did announce a fourth race will be added in the future
I'm convinced after seeing all these videos (and playing the game), the Advent seem underpowered imo.
TEC and Vasari economic and military technology and mechanics are just far superior, and let you snowball that much quicker.
I’m a Vasari Exodus man but Advent Wrath are no joke. Overlapping high psi power abilities, strike craft swarms, and late game culture / Unity powers are nuts. You can also play riskier to expand quickly early because of Unity powers to warp home or heal planets.
@@gendronggrant Culture seems pathetically underpowered and very easy to counter in the current state.
(I could have ended the game way before the 4hr mark but wanted to see how the Ai would push back after losing their fleet eg testing how the Ai reacts for future reference)
ps dont think I will be able to beat the AI on impossible TBH as Nightmare was hard as fk, only way I see it happening is an all out push before they get up and running so no mid or late game.
(games would be over way before mid game)
I make a game save 1 sec in that I never save over so I can start again with foresight and this is how I was able to beat the AI on nightmare, (have not beat them without this foresight save) just against the Advent no amount of foresight would help and I tried everything from rush economy to rush mil.
Did this not mention Mobile Starbase ??? !!!
Speakkkkkkkk.....
New player avatars not looks good
Can we get old?
Vasari Exodus....always been my first choice. Game is a blast, hoping for additional musical scores, server based matchmaking, and more minor factions in the future. Oh and the AI art assets fking suck, pay more than 2 artists maybe.
Good! 😍😍💕💕👍👍
The Vasari is easily the best faction.
Advent and TEC need more buffs for early game if they want to compete.
eh I'd say Vasari early game isnt all rosey.
TEC is frankly still too slow and their industry in the beginning always has to yield map control, which means more money for Vasari that can simply ramp up more skirmishers or capital ships if there's too much pd
Only a Sova start is viable, but that's the only TEC leverage that works.
Listen here Ironclad,
While the improvements you have made to the graphics and and the newly implemented orbital mechanics have been well received, we are still somewhat off put by same, obsolete battle mechanics, where anything bigger than a fighter is just sitting at weapon range and pounding on each other with no thought of manuever. Such battles were considered out of date a decade ago.
This is 2024 and you are the victims of your own success, we are now holding you to a higher standard!

I absolutely HATE the voice acting, it's so bad! 🤢🤮
"Have been running for TEN THOUSAND YEARS"
- Written by someone who has no understanding of time and scale.
Its a space RTS with telekinesis and nanomachines, what does realism have to do with anything. This has to be bait.
