He & everybody else in this industry lately are talking about how volatile prices are this year. Maybe that's why he's reluctant to throw numbers around. Should be easy enough to get quotes online.

Smaller is MUCH easier to maintain and clean than the 4,000 square foot homes. This is the size people 100 years ago would have thought of as being on the large size. Early Craftsman houses were similar to these roughly 800 sq.ft. homes.
This is lovely. A Couple of notes for future orders on this “plan”. Where they have their china cabinet, put the kitchen pantry, a 6 door cabinet matching the rest of the kitchen extended over to the rear door. Swap the “coat closet” and the laundry machines. The closet needs to be at the front door, the laundry needs to be out of sight. One last thing...pocket doors. A small home like this always benefits from pocket doors. Gives you a little more useable square footage 😁😁 Keep up they great vids Kerry!!!
Hi Cassandra, thanks for watching! The only reason I don’t is because I’m in Canada and a lot of the people who watch are in the states. In the past when I mention the price the conversation becomes focused on price instead of the homes. Our home prices are quite a bit higher and our currency is worth about 30% less than the USD so sometimes the prices are almost double what they are in the states and that shocks a lot of viewers. If you are ever interested in the price of a home on the channel you can always email me at kerrytarnow@shaw.ca and I’ll will happily share any info you want to know 😊
Nice but I would make some little changes. The fridge and washer and dryer are too large for the space. I would get a counter depth fridge and smaller washer and dryer so that space could be covered by a door.
I would put a large deck on the front and a patio door on the front living room wall. I finally found a plan with an end living room. is it really 18x 44 or is it smaller? I have seen some homes where the numbers are rounded up
The front steps were temporary. They ended up putting a big covered deck on the front and it looks amazing. 18 x 44 is the outside measurement, so interior space is actually smaller.
Good choice on the home owners' part to go for the second half bath. So much more convenient, especially when you have guests! I think smaller manufacturing homes are the way to go for those of us who want to leave a smaller foot print without living stacked on top of one another. Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to the next video 😊
Love that fierce guard dog! Ru had better watch out. One question we have is energy efficiency in that snowy climate. Can you get a thermal camera and show us how little energy or heat is lost?
They sure have! It looks awesome, she was hesitant about the tour because she isn’t quite done decorating but I told her not to worry I usually tour empty home. She has a good eye for sure
Why no pricing ? This looks like up just what we are looking for. If you don’t show price, must be to expensive . I will look on other casts that have prices.
Hey, I noticed that the floor pattern runs crosswise in this home versus lengthwise as is typical. Is that only an option on this one because of the width?
This is very nice, compact, clean, seems well-built and comfortable. I have not seen very many of these, but one thing that seems not so great is that it seems to be a thing not to put windows in the bathroom. That seems like a must have to be to vent humidity and to get some light. Always nice to have a window in the bathroom. Otherwise very nicely built. Can you install a window in to the BA?
Love the 18 x 44 size. Not sure why mobile homes almost never have coat closet near the main entrance. Guess the manufacturers won't even provide a coat rack?
A smaller 2 bedroom 1&1/2 bath in the middle of nowhere is what I have in mind. Working on getting rural acreage in a Conservative State...solar and propane!
Hey Kerry, what would be cool is to put a pocket door between bedroom and bathroom. Then the 1/2 bath space incorporated back into the bedroom. I would like that, being a single person.
I like the layout, but the master bedroom needs to be deeper... the coach fram & building longer. It lpoks disproportional. My 1st time here, but I'm looking to move some time.. to a private farm property. Where are you? Manufactured homes are great... definitely need a storm shelter, but they're needed. I like the gray black and white pallet. Perfect colors!
Fridges are getting bigger and bigger and sticking out further and further past the countertop. I have a conventional home with a counter depth built in fridge and I wouldn’t have it any other way. For me, it’s just an aesthetic thing. However, I realize that counter depth refrigerators come at a premium cost and not everyone feels that the fridge not sticking out is worth the added cost.
You need to provide some pricing along with your video. Thank you.
Bruh add some pricing or a link otherwise this is pointless to watch ☹️
I totally agree 👍. I'm going to unsubcribe soon if no price information.

Absolutely. The other bathroom is right outside the bedroom door. That 1/2 bath could be a walk-in closet or just more room for the bedroom itself.

A second bath is almost a must! When more people start developing smaller lots specifically for this type of home I think it’ll really take off.
I like this lay out. Easy to get around in but not real big. I would need a walk in shower instead of a tub but that is an easy fix.
Thanks Michelle
I agree, especially as we approach retirement age a tub is much less attractive...
I love the tub, but a walk-in tub would be a great improvement.
