REAL ENGLISH Online Thanks! The topic I had was freedom. It started with children's activities in their spare time and built up to freedom of information on the Internet. I like the topic but the whole time, I felt like I had to rush to finish my ideas so that the partner could speak. I tried my best to remember your reminder not to dominate the conversation and I was very conscious about whether or not I was hoarding the time to myself. However, there's something that kind of bothered me. The partner was obviously a bit weaker than me (she had only learned English for 6 years, and I 20 years) so when she got her chance to talk through out all parts, she blanked out a lot and didn't manage to form a complete thought. Once or twice, I just let her choose the points she wanted and we talked about them. When she blanked out like that, I wanted to help but I didn't want the examiners to take it as I was trying to take her time away. Remembering your reminder, I decided to be silent and only started talking when she gave sign that she had given up on her part. Do you think I made the appropriate choice in that situation?
Sounds like you did the right thing, if your partner gets stuck there's is not much you can do-unless it's part 2; then you could ask another question if they are well and truly stuck! Let us know the results!!!!
Hi, sorry I have to post it on here because it seems TH-cam has disabled the private message feature. I'm happy to inform you that I got 213 Passing grade B. I don't complain about it because it already serves my purpose. But I want to know the examiners' comments about my speaking and writing so that I can improve on those skills. Do you happen to know if this is a possible inquiry to make to the centre? My writing got the lowest grade even though this is the skill I practice the most. Just want to know why. Thanks so much again!
Congratulation! On the pass, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a B at all. You could ask the centre for the examiner's comments. To be honest, I never asked for them. As long as you state you reasoning, which is sound may I add. They may well give them to you! Let me know if they do :)))) Once again , congratulations!!!!
Finally taking it tomorrow. Thanks a gain for your videos! They are super helpful.
The very best of luck! I hope you get great topics!!
