  • Detailed video with a number of noise level measures while driving.
3 layers of sound deadening mat were installed to this Honda.
Each layer had its own noise level test. Thanks to ‪@RepairGeek‬ for a sincere opinion and the great video: / @repairgeek

This is the most detailed sound deadening video I have ever seen. Very very well put together. I have noico in my car (ford focus) and in my honest opinion other than increasing the base in my b&o sound system there is not much real world noticeable difference. This video just confirms that. Makes a nice clunk closing the door also i suppose. I think the results vs the amount of labour and cost required to do full car is not worth it really.

I did this. But did it area per area and see where I should add next.
Everything worked as it's suppose to. Less vibration noise.
The biggest difference as far as road noise and outside was adding CLD in the inner door skin.
And In the outer just a whole sheet to cover the panel of CCF I think 6mm 20"x60" between the door panel and the outer door skin nothing else. The tire noise and outside noise was dramatically lower and made the audio sound better.
All the sound deadening I put in my car worked as intended. I believe that you gotta use CCF with the CLD as a minimum in order to really quiet down your ride.

Excellent video. You made a significant improvement at 4db. Impressive. I did a similar effort on my Toyota and later found noticeable gains by insulating the hood/engine bay and adding extra door seals. Stopping one source of noise reveals others… fun of the chase.

Liked the videos for his honesty. I have used and experienced in Noico products and my experience is exactly the same as his. Noico provides a slight improvement in sound deadening.

The best test and review in TH-cam. You convince me that I won't do it on my corolla. It is already well insulated for the class besides the door. I think the door alone should be enough because the floor is already 50% covered. 4dB drop is significant but a lot of work and better to spend on better tires or cars. I wish is I got a number how many lb or Kg you add to the car. Especially the door. 2 or 3 kg on each door may wear the hinges

It was roughly 5lbs to cover my doors.
Covering the complete car added roughly 42lbs.

be curious if you put the butyl rubber sound deadener underneath the wheel well arches. ie: remove wheel, body cladding inside wheel wells, and added this later. I"m sure a lot of comes up from the road this way. Also perhaps firewall area? Also, a lot of wind noise comes from the side view mirrors, and how well that manufacturer designed that particular car model and feature level.

I wished you also work with the outside of the car. The wheel well can be deadened with faom or fibers right on the fenders area.

What was the cost of material minus the 3rd layer?

I did the same and all it did was make my fiance talk more, so NO this stuff did not improve the noise.
