One obscure theme that is missing from this collection is from the Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story Memory M and Memory L boss fight when Memory M picks up the starman to attack. I assume it is missing from the previous versions of your starman theme collections. It is, like, the only one that was missed though.
I hope 'Star Invincibbility' soundtrack will spread not only in Super Mario Series and even Nintendo, but also Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Company, etc.
Let's be honest, hearing the star theme in The Origami King give you chills the first time on how catchy it is!

I always assumed that melody was unique to Mario 64
@@inafridge8573 It appeared in quite a few games, so nope! I like it more in SM64, but I am giving respect to Yoshi's Island for pioneering the melody.

Super Mario Kart has one of my favourite versions of the theme in the series! It’s something about the sample used for the main melody that pulls it together for me!
Yoshi's Island is when it starts to get really good, with the added melody on top of the original theme.

If there's another update on this video, (and let's be honest, there probably will be, cause the Super Mario franchise will live forever) I hope that the soundalike version of the Starman theme from the Grand Theft Mario skit from Robot Chicken will pop up, unfortunately there's no high quality sounding rip of it from the DVD menus, only a low quality one from several years ago, so that might be a problem, and I know that it comes from a unofficial parody/satirical show on [adult swim], but I think it still counts as a remix, of sorts!
Fun fact: the im the best skit featuring toad also has a starman song

there is a starman theme in the Mario Bros pinball machine from the 90’s. yes, there was actually one. I still remember playing that machine.

Super paper Mario version is my favorite.
You can just tell with the power flower in sm64 ds that they had zero clue what to do with it for mario. It was fairly obvious to give luigi the vanish cap and wario the metal cap, they could allow Yoshi something that makes sense for the character, and the fact that there's an overwhelming amount of evidence to suggest that everyone was supposed to be able to use the wing cap until pretty late into development; but they knew couldn't just give that to mario early on.
So they eventually came up with bringing back the p Ballon of all things, a super slow power up with zero practical applications or puzzles designed for it.
Actually, there are some Power Stars where you might want to use Balloon Mario. For example, the second Power Star found in the Metal Cap Stage.
If you ever make another one of these there’s a beta version of the super mario kart starman :)

The saddest one is the Kersti's paper Mario sticker star theme ;; she sacrificed for Mario to defeat Bowser, altho she even does it if you don't use her so there's no way to save her. Only if they allowed an option to refuse her help to still let her be alive and not a sticker.....
She's still alive and well at the end of the game. Her sacrifice means nothing

That's the theme that it plays when Mario is invincible.
