Yo I don’t know if you still read comments but I have an AMD A8-7410 APU with Radeon R5 Graphics. When I use the auto detect tool for AMD it tells me to download 20.1.4.2 or something but when I download it my computer freezes every few seconds for one second and last time I downloaded it I got a BSOD and my computer literally died. I had to reinstall windows because it couldn’t detect my hard drive. It messed up my laptop. I don’t know if you can help but if you can please help because when I tried the new drivers they give me so much FPS compared to now so it would be perfect without the freezing. Right now I have a driver from 2015 and no freezing but my FPS isn’t as good as it could be so please help.

The Anisotropic Filtering setting in the radeon settings applies ONLY to DX9 games. Quite a few of these older games don't actually have AF options so you definitely want it set to 16x for them.
Yeah thanks pal. Ddffo seen a difference in movent and no stuttering now thank god. Slight drop in frames but doesn't seem to make a huge difference but overall Warzone is running alot smoother. Thanks again.

At 03:00 he´s actually wrong. Because when it comes to NVidia cards, you ALWAYS want to be up-to-date. However... AMD work differently. If you have the newer 5000/6000 series, you want the 20.10.x + drivers, especially the newest ones. right now the newest is the 21.4.1. That, however, doesn't work so well for the 400/500 series. If you want the best optimized drivers for that, the 20.8.3 and 20.4.2. 20.8.3 is basically the 20.4.2 but boosts everything, resulting in higher fps, but also temps and fan rpm ofc. I use that for all 500 cards. for older than the 500 and or 400 series, use max 20.4.2 or sub 20 drivers. anything above will not be 100% stable. You might see fps drops, crashes (complete system /windows/ reboots, lags etc.) I know this from years of AMD use, testing etc. + I'm definitely not the 1st guy to tell this. Its just a known thing by now. You can use ANY AMD driver, but be aware. So many still use rx580 and such, dont go beyond 20.9.1, or even 20.8.3 for that matter.-

When you install it, always chose the Advanced/Factory Reset option first. It will unsintall previous drivers, older or newer, and install a fresh copy of the driver you want. You can always use 20.4.2 for slightly lower Temps and fan rpm, but the 20.8.3 is just that but boosts a bit more. So if you game, use 20.8.3. If you don't game, use 20.4.2...or even any other driver even the newest ones. The instabilities show only during gpu intensive tasks

@@Boozeman33 Let me just tell you, I will help help you right now and give you the answer you seek. First, get the 20.8.3, run it, chose the factory reset and install it. The pc will reboot like 1 or 2 times. Second, I'll give you a warzone and fortnite info. I play both games daily. I am a huge warzone fan and right now I'm using the rx570 4gb (gigabyte). It's season 4 now, but also during season 3, the fps have dropped drastically. In season 2 I had avg 93FPS (some spikes to 110). After season 3, it dropped to avg 60, and later to 73fps. I monitor with msi afterburner. Now, season 4 hasn't changed anything. I still get avg 73fps after hours of playing. I have 2x8gb 3000mhz and idler Ryzen 1600. With better cpu you could get more. Anyway, you need to have good graphics settings. Just set the game to 1080p all low/off, except textures to normal and particle quality to high. For other non gpu settings, turn FOV to 120 Affected. And mouse ads to independent. Low. And high zoom to 0.88 and monitor distance to 1.70. In fortnite you should have avg 170-180fps like me.

@@liltsuki use the display port that your monitor brought check the box or where you keep your wires I was using my hdmi as well but once I changed it to display port everything got better and more settings came up

Bro....I was having major stutters in Warzone and it honestly made me uninstall it before. Just re downloaded it the other day and found this video and all I got to say is wow. @@RoastedSushii yes it voids the manufacturer warranty, you can buy extra warranty provided by the place you buy your card at and their warranty covers anything that happens to your card even if you oc it or change Vbios, for exemple i bought my card at matériel.net and took a 3 year warranty provided by them that convers everything, i spell water on it, i burn it because i swapped a 6900xt bios on it or anything and they change it. this kind of warranty come at a price though, i paid 87 euros for it.
Bro- i have probably watched 7 different 10+ min YT vids on how to optimize AMd settings for warzone and this is by far the best one and the ONLY one that actually worked. I had crazy packet loss and frame drops, average got as low as 60fps (i have a AMD 5700xt GPU), which i knew was way off. i'm super new to pc's and how everything works so i was completely clueless on what to do. this saved my ass and makes warzone much more tolerable (game still sucks but is buttery and smooth now). thanks again
Overclock the GPU doesn't bypass the warranty, since the setting they allow you to chance from the software are very limited same goes for nvidia even if you use MSI overclocking tool. This include no change to voltage and increase on temperature are so little it won't even reduce the life-spam of the gpu unless is already running hot on stock settings. Note some of the changes to color calibration can have impact on games performance, now this days for maximum performance I don't even use my Nvidia extra features like shadowplay and stick only to basic drivers for better performance (tune anything from there like maximum performance, vsync on/off and so on).

I was playing a lot of CS:GO and throughout that time, I noticed some visual microstuttering and some stuttering, not only that, my fps was around in the 80s to the low or mid 200s with my RX 580 8GB, 1x8GB RAM, and Ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.2 GHz. (Overclock). When I applied these settings, it kinda to actually improved my performance. Cheers.
Amd anti-lag only works if one of your components is bottlenecking. Otherwise it does nothing. In some of my cases it actually created a partial delay going from no motion to full action as if it was dormant and kicked on late. It's subtle I notice it once and while
Radeon Chill works for me on GTA V. Tends to stutter a lot from huge fps drops. Capping the fps to 120 and raising the minum to 90 keeps it running smooth for me.
There is a list of games by AMD themselves you can find by googling that tells you the games. Off the top of my head Borderlands 3, Resident Evil 3 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are all supported. On the games list there's three dots in the top if you click that and you can scan for games or search for the exe in the game folder to add it. Some good advice in there I would also suggest when people are comfortable to play around with the settings by individual game. Some settings work best or only with Direct X 9 or lower if you have old OLD games these settings can really add a layer of polish to some games especially paired with super resolution for those with 1080p monitors. (Due to low graphics and Very low fps) Literally Copied what he did in the video and I went from LITERALLY 8.7 fps to Whatever the hell it is now,but it runs wayyy better and Now I can have fun.

A little while ago, I traded my AMD Radeon R9 290x 4gb with a reference style cooler (Immaculate Condition - Barely used in box w/packaging) for a crappy looking HP stock 1050 TI 4GB. My dads PC died so I gave him my lenovo motherboard with an i7 4790, and he bought an FX 8350 with an old Asus Motherboard, so now I have a crappy looking 1050 TI, and an old 10 year old Bulldozer CPU with a case with bad cooling. I played a lot of CS:GO before I traded in my 4790, but now with the FX 8350, its almost unplayable (only getting like 50 frames, sometime 25 or lower in intensive areas), watching this video now to see if it will help me

I haven't tested the framerate yet, but I didn't know about the performance metrics overlay before watching this video. I'm using my TV as my monitor, so I decided to max out the columns and use custom position to put it around the bottom center of my screen.
I had Radeon Image Sharpening on for the past month since I got my gpu (6700 xt) and it's my first amd gpu and since I can't upgrade my monitor just yet to 1440p I'm stuck at 768p. I've noticed that when I turned this off like two nights ago I had WAYYY LESS input lag. Yes while the image looked a tad bit better in some games and a lot less blurry in most games (Image Sharpening ON) the higher input lag was ruining my aim. I was trying out different mouse pads and mice thinking I randomly turned trash, NOPE it was input lag, so beware of this feature people.
Wish we could get a refresh - updated video just like this, 9-10 months later. I just made the jump from an NVIDIA 2060 to a 6700 XT and when I first installed it and ran COD, my FPS nearly doubled. I think I was hitting something insane in-game like 150 whereas before I was barely cracking 100fps. Then after a few games, something just randomly happened and now I can't break 100FPS even on my new triple fan ASUS Tuff RX 6700XT. Ugh! And the Radeon Software looks slightly different now than in this video.
I've done all this and I'm stuck at 30 FPS in Street Fighter 5 and 17 FPS in Cyber Punk. I have a 3700X CPU and a 6700RT GPU. I'm playing in 1080P. I have no idea what I've done, but it sucks haha.

5:16 enhanced sync isn't vsync. It actually works quite well if you have a freesync display, as when FPS goes over your monitors refresh rate, it causes tearing/input lag. So Enhanced sync is designed to help that. Very different from Vsync. Great vid tho!
anti lag does reduce input lag only when your gpu is on 99%~100% load otherwise it increases input lag, you can check battle-nonsense video for further information

frames are consistent 95-115 and will sometimes go past 120.

Ansioptrophic Filtering, turn it off in game and on in AMD. That way it's done the AMD way and improves some games that were optimised for Nvidia.

Thank you so much my apex legends was dipping frames constantly and now runs at stable 60fps the only thing is fortnite for some reason has the hardest time on my pc even compared to games like apex and warzone. I don’t play fortnite really at all it just bugs me that higher graphic games run completely fine but then a game that’s a cartoon doesn’t. Thank you very much!
I dont know why but I think after the latest update, they got rid of a lot of the options
Do not download optional updates. Stay with recommended ones as they are well tested. If you download optional drivers they are not tested well yet.

I had Radeon Image Sharpening on for the past month since I got my gpu (6700 xt) and it's my first amd gpu and since I can't upgrade my monitor just yet to 1440p I'm stuck at 768p. I've noticed that when I turned this off like two nights ago I had WAYYY LESS input lag. Yes while the image looked a tad bit better in some games and a lot less blurry in most games (Image Sharpening ON) the higher input lag was ruining my aim. I was trying out different mouse pads and mice thinking I randomly turned trash, NOPE it was input lag, so beware of this feature people.

Fun fact: Turning AMD Sharpening on can reduce GPU usage a bit which means more fps.

Wish we could get a refresh - updated video just like this, 9-10 months later. I just made the jump from an NVIDIA 2060 to a 6700 XT and when I first installed it and ran COD, my FPS nearly doubled. I think I was hitting something insane in-game like 150 whereas before I was barely cracking 100fps. Then after a few games, something just randomly happened and now I can't break 100FPS even on my new triple fan ASUS Tuff RX 6700XT. Ugh! And the Radeon Software looks slightly different now than in this video.
I can make a updated one for sure once I get the channel back up and going!

I've done all this and I'm stuck at 30 FPS in Street Fighter 5 and 17 FPS in Cyber Punk. I have a 3700X CPU and a 6700RT GPU. I'm playing in 1080P. I have no idea what I've done, but it sucks haha.
maybe Vsync is on or the fps is capped at 30?

5:16 enhanced sync isn't vsync. It actually works quite well if you have a freesync display, as when FPS goes over your monitors refresh rate, it causes tearing/input lag. So Enhanced sync is designed to help that. Very different from Vsync. Great vid tho!
Enhanced sync is limiting frame rate to hz. So it actually is vsync

anti lag does reduce input lag only when your gpu is on 99%~100% load otherwise it increases input lag, you can check battle-nonsense video for further information

From an Rx580 user to another, do you also experience screen blackouts too or is it just me? If so, how would you go about fixing it?? I play Valorant and whenever it happens it is so frustrating because you lose all visuals and die.
I would assume that’s a monitor issue
@@50Fifty I've tried various monitors that my family members have on my pc, but same results. Even though they work fine on their computers.
If you are using same cord for monitors try replacing that before anything else. Other then the hat I’ve never had any flickering
