Good video but... 3.20 Fast fps shooters are based on proper thermal management hence you're wrong about that as thermals are the main and often the only reason for frame drops, stutters and even crashes. So thermals are one of the most important things to look into when optimising your PC for the fastest responsiveness and lowest input lag.
Hi, I have a relatively short question Let's say I am currently on a very low end GPU (low end Polaris) and a low end cpu. Should I copy or edit any of the settings? Freesync disabled is optimal for input lag. If you do not get distracted by tearing, enabling freesync simply increases overall latency as compared to no sync. I also want to know why forcing on 2x MSAA is included, as that will only increase GPU load.
@@koczaioandaniel4014 Nope, increases it vs no sync. No test can show otherwise and evidence exists that it increases lag. It's not a good feature to use unless you are bothered by tearing more than the latency will affect your gameplay. For esports almost no reason to use it.

Hi, I have problem after upgrade my pc with 7900XTX and Ryzen 7800X3D. It non stop trying to use procesor graphic card as random, and I cannot switch it off. When I disable the integrated card, there is a lot of crash in the games, and sometimes I'm unable to even start the game like Warzone2 / mortal Online2. Did you hear about similar problem with those cards?
What is better. Nvidia or AMD in terms of input lag? I mean for example with fps capped at 60fps using rtss, in game cap, driver fps cap, or radeon chill. With all additional features off. Wich card would have lower input lag? I couldnt find 100% reliable answer nowhere.🤷
The debate between Nvidia and AMD regarding input lag is a popular discussion among tech enthusiasts and experts. Both brands have made commendable strides in addressing this concern, and for many users, the distinction might be barely noticeable. However, with a greater number of games incorporating Nvidia Reflex into their engines, Nvidia does seem to have a slight edge in this aspect. So, leaning towards Nvidia might be fair.
I have a question. I play rocket league and for some reason I do get jagged lines/edges and feels as if my game isn’t as smooth. I have decent specs - 5600x, 6650xt, 32gb ram which is I think 3200 and my monitor is also 1080p. Is this due to having maybe super resolution enabled or image sharping?
Hi there! Image sharpening is definitely not the cause of the issue you're experiencing. As for the jagged lines and game not feeling smooth, it's possible that AMD Super Resolution could be causing the problem. Since you're already playing at 1080p, which is your monitor's native resolution, you don't need to use Super Resolution. I would recommend disabling it, as it could be the source of the issue. Super Resolution should only be used when you need to upscale to a higher resolution than your monitor's native resolution.
@@FlowGamingZone Super Resolution is an anti-aliasing solution. A very great one at that too. It shouldn't be disabled because of jagged edges because it's not the reason.
@@flintfrommother3gaming I would have to disagree. Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) is not an anti-aliasing solution. It is a feature that allows the GPU to render games at a higher resolution than the native resolution of the display and then downscale it to the native resolution of the display. The purpose of RSR is to improve image quality and provide a better gaming experience by enhancing details and reducing jagged edges. However, it can also cause performance issues and compatibility problems with certain games. Enabling Super Resolution can cause jagged edges if the game is not optimized for the higher resolution or if the GPU is not powerful enough to handle the increased workload.

It seems the problem stems from conflicts with driver versions installed previously. Despite performing a clean installation, it appears not all components from the older versions are fully removed. For a truly clean driver installation, I recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU). This tool can be very helpful in making sure all components from previous driver versions are entirely removed. For a step-by-step guide on how to use DDU, you can refer to my videos.
When you clear the shader cache through the AMD Radeon Adrenalin software, it typically clears the cache for all the games and applications that use the AMD GPU. However, some games also have their own shader cache systems, and clearing the cache through the AMD software might not affect these game-specific caches. If you suspect that a particular game's shader cache is causing issues, it may be a good idea to clear the game's shader cache separately. This option can usually be found in the game's settings or configuration files. It's also possible that there's a game-specific tool or launcher option to clear the shader cache. It some cases you have to delete specific folder in game directory but you would have to google that specific game.
Using a DisplayPort (DP) connection instead of HDMI should not cause any issues. Both HDMI and DP are widely used display interfaces and are generally compatible with modern monitors and graphics cards. However, using a DP connection can offer advantages such as higher refresh rates, higher resolutions, and support for adaptive sync technologies like AMD FreeSync. DP is known for its robustness in transmitting video and audio signals over longer distances. As long as your monitor has a DP input and your graphics card has a DP output, you can connect them using a DP cable without any problems. Just ensure that both devices have compatible ports, and you should be good to go.
For the RX 5700 XT, the latest drivers are usually the best ones to use as they are optimized for the newest games and often contain bug fixes and performance improvements. However, some users have reported issues with the latest drivers, so you may want to check user reviews before downloading them. As for CSGO and Valorant, both games are not very demanding, so you shouldn't have any issues with the latest drivers.
My monitor has amd freesync but If I enable the pure xp tech(same as dyac from zowie) I can't enable the amd freesync, which is better? I have a view sonic xg24
try capping your fps on 260 or 250 its like 10 to 20 fps higher compared to your monitor's refresh rate it will cause less input lag and less stutter 🤠
On Nvidia cards, Hardware acceleration on chrome based browsers stutters a lot. Scrolling, youtube videos, etc . Is it the same with AMD cards also? Can anyone with amd cards confirm this? I recently bought RTX 3060, is this issue happening only on low end cards? Also, in NFS underground a lot of shimmering and aliasing issues happening using 3060, I tried all the combinations in Nvidia control panel. I remember these issues were not present in 13 year old Dell inspiron laptop which had ATI mobility Radeon HD 5650 with 1 GB vram. Why rtx 3060 is unable to fix the aliasing issue in nfs underground? What am I missing?
Unfortunately, I'm not an expert in NVIDIA drivers, but I suggest starting with the simplest solution: using DDU to uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers, followed by updating your motherboard chipset and cleaning your Windows, doing all updates, reseting shader cache. If these steps don't help, you may need to consider reinstalling Windows. This is not normal for 3060. It all should run well.
Hey at First thank you very much For the Guide! Its very Hard to find a good amd Guide. I got a question to the Input lag and amd freesync : i Play on a 240 hrz monitor, i got on cs go around 320 fps and 60 % gpu usage uncapped, what would u advise for that? When i play eft i got around 100 fps With 70-80% gpu usage and its capped by the game with 144 fps. Can u give me a good advise for These 2 Games?
I'm glad you found the guide helpful! CS:GO is a game where higher FPS can lead to lower input latency, even if it exceeds your monitor's refresh rate. Given that you're getting around 320 FPS, you might not want to cap it. You didnt say what is your GPU temperature but GPU usage is in proper values. For EFT: since your FPS fluctuates around 100 and is below your monitor's 240Hz refresh rate, enabling Freesync will be beneficial to smoothen out any potential screen tearing and enable AMD Anti-Lag. This can help in reducing input latency.
In order for freesync to work You need to cap your fps 3~4 frames under your monitor refresh rate. If you have 144hz monitor You need to cap it below (140-141 fps).
I'm not sure about the delay but there IS screen tearing even above 240 fps on a 240 hz monitor. The severity depends on the game engine though. For example in csgo I don't see any tearing while in Halo Infinite it is really distracting.
Hey FLowZone. Would you recommend to put upscaling off and antialiasing off in Warzone 2 and then put on AMD fsr on and antialiasing on in Adrenaline? Maybe just keep upscaling from warzone and just put antialiasing on adrenaline with antialiasing off in warzone 2? Looking forward to your answer.
In general, it's recommended to experiment with different graphics settings in each game to find what works best for you. However, in the case of Warzone 2 and AMD FSR, it's best to keep the upscaling off in Warzone and turn on AMD FSR in Adrenaline, as FSR is designed to provide a similar visual quality to native resolution while improving performance. As for antialiasing, it's up to personal preference and the game's performance impact. You can try enabling antialiasing in Adrenaline and disabling it in Warzone, or vice versa, to see which gives you the best balance of visual quality and performance.
@@FlowGamingZone Hey Flow. Thank you so much for your response. This is epic. For Adrenaline FSR I need to reduce the in game resolution to less that 1080p (my screen is HD) for this to take effect?

Hey can i ask you why do you think I'm hitting 120 fps in warzone?, Yesterday i installed the new gpu 7900xtx and i have an ryzen 9 3900x. Do you think it has to do something with the cpu? With one would you recommend if so🙌🏼
Hello! Hitting 120 FPS in Warzone with your setup does seem relatively low, and it's possible that something might be amiss. To investigate further, it would be helpful to know the specific graphics settings and resolution you're using in Warzone. Additionally, ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for both your GPU and your Ryzen 9 3900X CPU. If you haven't already, I recommend installing the latest AMD chipset drivers for your CPU as well. While upgrading to a higher-end CPU like the Ryzen 9 5900X or 5950X could potentially provide a performance boost, it's important to consider that the increase in FPS might not be significant if other factors such as graphics settings or system limitations are at play. On average, the performance gain from upgrading to a higher-end CPU would be around 20% to 25%. I suggest checking and optimizing your in-game graphics settings, ensuring that you have the latest drivers installed, and monitoring your GPU and CPU usage while gaming to identify any potential issues or bottlenecks. Also check the XMP profile in BIOS if Your RAMs are running at full speed.
@@FlowGamingZone well I've tried updating everything and nothing, it doesn't matter how high or low the settings are i hit around 120-130 fps, but i realized in the amd software its says that my cpu usage is no more than 5%, do you know why this can be?
@Lessandro, let's start troubleshooting by checking if your RAM is running on the correct XMP profile at full speed. I can assist you with this process if You dont know how to do it or You can check my video.Next lets test CPU. First, please download the Cinebench 15 benchmarking tool from the following link: www.guru3d.com/files-details/cinebench-15-download.html Once the download is complete, install it. Restart your PC and wait for all the necessary components to load. Then, run Cinebench. This will ensure that we have accurate and reliable results for further analysis. Run the CPU test for both the Multi Core and Single Core performance. Afterward, please provide me with the scores so that we can determine if there are any anomalies with your CPU.
@@lessandro445 It looks like Your results are in a margin of error proper running CPU. We can rule that out. Your FPS in OPEN GL test looks not very good. Have You downloaded the latest AMD AM4 chipset drivers? What is Your power supply? Also what about this ram speed?
Yes, enabling Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) can potentially help you achieve higher FPS in your games. RSR is a feature that renders the game at a lower resolution and then upscales it to match your monitor's native resolution. This reduces the workload on your GPU, which can lead to higher frame rates. However, it's important to note that the use of RSR may cause a decrease in image quality since the game is being rendered at a lower resolution. The degree of quality loss can vary depending on the game and the extent of the resolution reduction. If you're struggling with achieving satisfactory frame rates at your monitor's native 1440p resolution and you're willing to sacrifice some image quality for better performance, RSR could be a viable option. On the other hand, if your system is already running games smoothly at 1440p, maintaining RSR off for optimal image quality might be your best choice.
I just need to cool down my PC. 144hz monitor, Radeon 6600 graphics, AMD 5600x processor. Temperature is going to 65 degree on default settings (which is relatively high) in maximum games. I'm not a competitive gamer. I want my PC to last longer and want to lower the temperature. Please recommend some settings.
In all honesty, those temperatures seem fine. However, if you wish to lower them further, you can try undervolting both the GPU and CPU, which could result in a temperature reduction of 5-10 degrees Celsius for both components. Unfortunately, I do not have a tutorial on this. Another option is to adjust the fan curves in the BIOS to allow for more airflow, or you could consider upgrading from the CPU's stock cooler to a higher-end option such as the Dark Rock. In my opinion, the temperatures you're currently experiencing are still well within acceptable limits for gaming.
I've a cuestion about, custom resolutions, I wanna create a 1280x960res, for csgo, but IDK what is the best, I watched some videos, And people said that CVT-RB, is the best standar sync, but idk what did u think about that?
Why bother creating a custom resolution for 1280x960 when it's already a standard 4:3 resolution available in most game settings? Do you have a monitor with a different aspect ratio than 4:3? Anyway, you can easily create a custom resolution in the AMD Adrenaline software under the display tab.
@@FlowGamingZone I've a RX590 gpu, and montiro BenQ ZOWIE XL2540K, but I don't have that res, IDK if my gpu doesn't have that res, or is my monitor, that's why i want to create that res that a lot of pros uses in csgo
@@Verkro it's a bit unusual that the 1280x960 resolution isn't available for you, as it's a standard 4:3 resolution. However, since you're looking to create a custom resolution, you can indeed use the AMD Adrenaline software to do so. Regarding the CVT-RB sync standard, it's generally considered a good option, but the best choice may vary depending on your specific hardware. As for GPU scaling, when playing at a resolution that's different from your monitor's native resolution, it's recommended to enable GPU scaling. This will help ensure that the image is displayed correctly and maintains the aspect ratio you desire for your gaming experience. Just be aware that using a non-native resolution may result in a slightly less sharp image, but it's a trade-off some people are willing to make for better performance or preferred aspect ratio.
@@FlowGamingZone hi Flowzone, you recommend enabling GPU scaling in a competitive game like CSGO. If the desktop resolution is 1600x900 and the game resolution is 1024x768?
if you go the opposite with the FPS cap, just above what the monitor can, then you dont need freesync (this feature has had its issues from time to time also...) if you want the fps to run higher, make sure you get a mathematical sample rate higher then the refresh rate. i get wierd stuttery feeling running 350fps, on my 240hz, but no laggy feeling with 370fps. and running 250fps ensures that the frame rate of 240 of my screen is shown to be updated every time, and not skipping any images (not showing same picture 2x in a row). Doing 370 basically makes my scren throw away 1/3 fps being generated... now why run higher than 240fps, well running higher reduces input lags on the system, so total input lag is lower with higher fps ... then why FPS cap it .. well, input lags climb with CPU load reaching 100% - so a FPS cap of less that what the system can do, but as high as what is possible on the CPU/GFX will make sure you have lowest input lag possible. freesync (240hz) + fps cap at 250 will make the system run great, and very consistent - so if the freesync is working as intended, please do this, yes - if problems, run at fps cap higher than what the monitor can do. If your system cannot archive the fps that the monitor can do, then yes please get freesync running, at all cause, as it will reduce screen tearing. well... my thoughts :) Good video, pretty much what i came to as well, i was just running 4x anti-aliasing instead of 2x...
It looks like we share the same approach. I also cap my FPS at 250 in certain games due to the architecture of the game engine. It's important to note that some game engines perform better with a cap of 240 FPS, while others work better with 250 FPS. I'm happy to hear that you found this video helpful. 👍
Yes, that is correct. The first five settings in the advanced tab of Radeon Adrenalin settings are specifically for DirectX 9 games and do not affect DX12 or Vulkan applications. When switching from NVIDIA to AMD or vice versa, it's essential to use DDU. This might be the solution to your problem. Try it. www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Freesync disabled is optimal for input lag. If you do not get distracted by tearing, enabling freesync simply increases overall latency as compared to no sync.
I also want to know why forcing on 2x MSAA is included, as that will only increase GPU load.
Freesync reduce the input lag.
@@koczaioandaniel4014 Nope, increases it vs no sync. No test can show otherwise and evidence exists that it increases lag. It's not a good feature to use unless you are bothered by tearing more than the latency will affect your gameplay. For esports almost no reason to use it.

My GPU not run 99% in 2k resolution how to fixed this problem

Question my the display setting on the app is missing do you know why?
It seems the problem stems from conflicts with driver versions installed previously. Despite performing a clean installation, it appears not all components from the older versions are fully removed. For a truly clean driver installation, I recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU). This tool can be very helpful in making sure all components from previous driver versions are entirely removed. For a step-by-step guide on how to use DDU, you can refer to my videos.
Why disabled 10 Bit Pixel Format ? if my monitor supports 10 bit should I leave it on?

Does clearing the shader cash on the adrenaline software clear the cash on all games or should you also clear the shader cash on the individual game?
@@FlowGamingZone I really appreciate that thorough response! I appreciate you!👍
Does this needs to be connected with HDMI? I mean if connected with dp will I run into issues?

What are the best drivers for the rx 5700xt I only play csgo and valorant
For the RX 5700 XT, the latest drivers are usually the best ones to use as they are optimized for the newest games and often contain bug fixes and performance improvements. However, some users have reported issues with the latest drivers, so you may want to check user reviews before downloading them. As for CSGO and Valorant, both games are not very demanding, so you shouldn't have any issues with the latest drivers.

i get 240fps on a 240hz monitor and i get mad stutter, what setting should i use, frame rate target control?
try capping your fps on 260 or 250 its like 10 to 20 fps higher compared to your monitor's refresh rate it will cause less input lag and less stutter 🤠
Hi, for freesync to work correctly, do you need to limit fps to 141 or vice versa, leave more than 150, for example (in apex legends)?
In order for freesync to work You need to cap your fps 3~4 frames under your monitor refresh rate. If you have 144hz monitor You need to cap it below (140-141 fps).
I thought AMD Freesync and Nvidia gysync introduced input delay? Pretty sure that is the case. Above 200fps there isn't any screen tearing anyway.

@@FlowGamingZone well I've tried updating everything and nothing, it doesn't matter how high or low the settings are i hit around 120-130 fps, but i realized in the amd software its says that my cpu usage is no more than 5%, do you know why this can be?

i have a 1440p monitor is enabling radeon super resolution going to help me get more fps?
Is the temperature 65 on CPU or GPU?
@@FlowGamingZone Almost the same same temp on both CPU and GPU. Usually CPU is a little higher. 2-3 degrees. GPU is like 62-63
In all honesty, those temperatures seem fine.
@@FlowGamingZone and I want to know, If i play in 1280x960 I need to activate the GPu scalling

?
Hi i have rx 7800 xt and i have very low fps on cs2 cpu r 5 5600x
23.5.2 please setings to Asus RX 6600 XT
big thanks to you
if you go the opposite with the FPS cap, just above what the monitor can, then you dont need freesync (this feature has had its issues from time to time also...)
if you want the fps to run higher, make sure you get a mathematical sample rate higher then the refresh rate.
i get wierd stuttery feeling running 350fps, on my 240hz, but no laggy feeling with 370fps. and running 250fps ensures that the frame rate of 240 of my screen is shown to be updated every time, and not skipping any images (not showing same picture 2x in a row).
@@FlowGamingZone you could make a video about this it sounds interesting and i would love to know how to identify when to go 240 or 250

However, the remaining settings in the advanced tab can still impact the performance and visual quality of DX12 and Vulkan apps.
