92 6.5 Turbo Diesel K2500 5 Speed going through the gears

Just a quick clip of shifting through the gears and a tiny bit of coal. For anyone wondering, its a 6.5 Turbo Diesel (Detroit Diesel) with a 5 speed NV4500, in a 1992 k2500. Be sure to check out the other videos about it on our channel.

I miss the old GMC my uncle had for a while. He loaned it to us for a while. 6.5s are some of the more reliable diesels if you know what to do to them.

Just keep driving it, you get better at matching the revs between shifts as you drive it more and more. Then you don't have to roll off of the clutch so much, and the clutch will last much longer.

Time has helped, I ended up using it as a daily for some parts of college so the practice definitely helped.

Makes me wish mine was a 5 speed instead of an automatic. Automatics just take all the fun out of driving.

For me, I prefer shifting without the clutch. Faster and smoother in my opinion.

I want to learn to float the gears, but for some reason this truck won't let you take it out of gear without the clutch when you're driving.
