Marty, you have taught me everything. Can you make a tutorial for "If You Could Only See" by Tonic? It's my girlfriend's favorite song and I wanna play it for her
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!!! this is my favorite song and i’ve been wanting to learn how to play it. but never really could since im like completely new to guitar. ANYWAYS, THANK YOU!!! 🙏
Marty, that arpeggio lick at 7:00 - I've heard that in other Latin music and have always wondered how to play it. Thanks so much for showing how to play that and the rest of the song!
I can't tell you how much this lesson has helped me understand the song as a whole, I've made big leaps of progress tonight thanks to you, my friend! Well done on excellent explanations and demos!
Cool lesson! One thing I like with Marty's lessons on this type of song is he doesn't show the notes and chords like in a cover piece. He gives you the parts with enough variations to make it easy to come up with your own arrangement.
Marty, this one is definitely worth the deeper dive in another video! It would be a great one to do a looper session with, so that all the other rhythm parts can be overlayed. Also, it would be nice to know your amp/pedal settings to get the Santana lead sound.
on TH-cam you are the gentlest guitar teacher of all. you're bright. at the end of the videos you should do a little lesson on the touch, on the subtle subtle subtle movements to get that quality of bending or timbre. thank you!
Watched Marty when I started guitar in 2012...stopped playing for a few years and just got back into it. Really is amazing to see how much your channel has grown!
Hey Marty! I live in Near San Marcos and heard your from North county too!!? I told myself I would learn guitar a couple months ago and you HAVE HELPED ME TREMENDOUSLY. Rock on man I hope to see you one day.
He is the only guy I’ve seen who uses that bar E7 in the A min7 form in the rhythm. Sounds so much better than the standard E7th in this instance. Like he says, gives a Jazz quality to it.
WOW!!! SANTANA!!! Marty you da man!!! Definitely not your basic straight forward song, but Santana never is. And gotta love those additional riffs that takes it to another level when playing the song in front of your friends 🤘 Thanks once again Marty!!!
Great lesson! A little theory to go along with it, thank you! Love Santanas Latin jazz flavor, a departure from a lot of the blues rock stuff I’ve been working on lately.
Thank you so much for all your videos, I bet a lot of new guitar players wouldn’t know what to do with out you, you do upload the best tutorials ever!❤️👏🏼 you make them so understandable
Would be soooooo great, if, for advanced players who already know all the chords, you could run through the whole song (chords) without stopping, or long sections of if without stopping, so we could watch how the progression fits together. Thanks for doing this, we need to learn it for a function gig, this is helpful.
I was just starting to learn this song and there was couple of confusing parts in the tab that i found. Then i decided to check youtube for tutorial and of courtse Marty has made one. Thank you for these videos they have really sped up my learning :)
Thank you so much I love just being able to play it out and my mom wanted me to learn so here I am and thank you for walking us through it and showing what we were going to play at the beginning I hope your doing well🙏😁🎸
Yes! Yeah man, thank you been with you a while really helped me out and now I have a Santana arsenal, keep em coming, maybe some Garry Moore or Thin Lizzie next??? Anyway thanks again
Marty can you please make the Eric clapton "I shot the sheriff" solo (specifically the crossroads live version*ive been trying to learn it and your the only one who teaches like no other
Great Lesson Marty. You simplify guitar playing. I'm a visual guy and your lessons really break things down into sections that are easy to learn. Have you ever thought about doing a lesson of Redbone's classic, "Come and Get Your Love"? Great tune and your insight in learning it would be beneficial to many I would imagine. Give it some thought, PLEASE?
Thanks for supporting MartyMusic! Also I've got FREE courses for you when you sign my newsletter at www.MartyMusic.com
