Happy New Year. I have this same bible, it's a 1936. Nice find.

    A few comments:
    1. That Bible reading plan is in the Bible that my Great Grandma had, and there, it had the note that it was arranged by D. W. Whittle, Philadelphia (1840-1901). I was able to find a digital copy of it because it's the plan I want to follow this year, but I didn't want to cross it off in her bible. I have a link to the PDF, but I doubt Google will let me post it here.
    2. The Bible she had is the World Master Art Edition, model 2847, published in either Nov 1958 or the 11th week of 1958, not sure. The date in the front indicates this particular model (or a version of it) was originally produced in 1913. This particular Bible should be on your list to look into if you like old Bibles. It's very similar to this one, with a ton of study helps. I think you'd enjoy it, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
    3. My Great Grandma's copy has India paper, and it's a bit chalky, After handling the pages for a bit, my fingers get stained much like they would after handling newspaper. So, I'm not sure if the chalky-ness is the paper or perhaps the ink.

If Google will let me post this, here is the link to the PDF that has the D. W. Whittle reading plan:

For some strange reason during every Bible review, I have to see if Psalms 119 has the Hebrew alphabet and if the words of Christ are red letters. Thanks😁👍🏾

I try to stay consistent with this! Glad it helps some!

I despise self-pronouncing, it's just a distraction to me. You can sure tell how much better the average Nelson Bible was then compared to now. Great find!

Totally agree! Some of the older editions went really crazy with the pronunciation marks, and I would doubt the majority of people even know what each sounds like. I just read 'em as I sees 'em!
