I few months ago my teacher gave me four pages of music and was ohh man yes it's a four page piece well i procrastinated on practicing it and now i have to learn the entire four page first movement in like two weeks for a RECITAL I'm sorta scared 😃😂.
Don't sweat it. I don't hear any great technical challenges. Few, if any, multiple stops, and I don't think it goes over 2nd position., at least not for long stretches.
@@markianseverson7676 how did it go, I basically did the same thing but for an audition and I only have 2 weeks now and I want to know if you were able to do it, because I really need to see if it’s possible to get down in 2 weeks
If this could interest anyone I have recently published a new critical edition of this marvellous piece, for the first time with an Urtext of the full score, two newly engraved cello parts, one of which annotated by M° Marcio Carneiro (BRA, Tchaikovsky prizewinner 1978) and a new completely rearranged version for cello and string orchestra (actually cello, string quintet and strings!). I don't want this to be just a shameless plug so I will post a link to this if the video owner will allow it. Thank you!
It was extremely common in an era lacking in good sanitary practices along with the fact that disease pathology was still in its relative infancy at the time. Cholera was another frequent killer during the romantic era given the overwhelmingly bad water supplies (think of Tchaikovsky's demise). These health problems grew more acute as industrialism gave rise to larger cities and more people crowded together. Much as I believe music of the romantic era to be the best ever written, still I wouldn't want to have lived back then.
This thing is tons of fun to play.
I'm learning it right now :))
Agreed!
I’m gonna be playing it for my audition for college
True
The runs up the cello in the first bit are so much fun to play
Everything, pretty much
cello solo starts at 1:05.
Rondo from Suzuki book 5 starts at 9:40
This piece is an absolute blast to play. Especially the rondo, catch me sliding all up and down that fingerboard
Bob DUCS I love it but I’m terrible at broken chords lol
😅 ouch sometimes
It's great to finally hear the orcestration. This is a far finer piece than it's often made out to be.
My teacher made me learn this when I was 9. It wasn’t fun then. Now it is.
How the fuck can you Play this at that age
Espetacular, maravilhoso, belo, magnífico. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This piece is too underrated!
Nobody was rating it but you. Thank you for your opinion. Now go to your room.
:D my mistake
@@johannrufinatscha4210 Sorry! I made a mistake :(
@@applepie427 OK. You may leave your room now. :-)

What a fun piece! Sounds like a very cheerful mix between Alkan and Mendelssohn.
Alkan?
Yes to listen to it is quite nice but to play it is an entirely different thing.
룰루랄라~~~🎆🎇
I still remember how to play this
노래가 좋네요^^♡~
4th movement starts at 9:30.

Thanks. Even then though the rythym is still quite different and all the long slurs and sharps and stuff are sorta hard
Then go and work my friend!!
