Just imagine: A Power Rangers game with the story and graphics of Spider-Man PS4, have the fight scenes be big action set pieces like Ghost of Tushima. after that release an online mode where you can play with 2-5 other people doing different missions.
I believe an open world power Rangers game would be awesome. Weekly events, a great story campaign (Co-op as an option), side missions, upgrades for weapons and armor and Zords, zord battles, and finally, maybe to put a VR experience of the megazord cockpit.
Exactly, a game that would be could play as Dynasty Warriors but more exciting and the Zords can be combined with other legacy Zords as Season Pass begins.
I was literally typing this comment then saw this. I absolutely agree, I feel for the story line and so many rangers, the only possible way to translate this to game would be a Dynasty Warrior esque game
I personally thought that Power Rangers could be adapted amazingly to a Dynasty Warriors type engine. Imagine, playing as your favorite rangers, running around different environment, hacking down legions of Putties, Cogs, Paranatrons, etc. before either encountering a monster or an enemy commander. And maybe, then, you could have a 1 on 1 Megazord vs. Giant Bad Guy battle. It would be an amazingly simple and extremely satisfying Power Rangers video game experience!
I'd take a nice Power Rangers game where you make your own Ranger. Customize the character and then Ranger uniform/costume using parts from other Ranger Teams linked to the Morphin Grid. As you progress, like any good sixth ranger or ranger team, you will unlock new morphin modes and abilities and weapons to increase your strength. The co-op feature could be backed by a story where this one team has a single inconsistency throughout its own multiverse where the sixth ranger(You) is different in every timeline. This inconsistency would create rifts or ripple in the space time continuum where other sixth rangers are able to drop-in or out of your game/story. Each ranger looking different. Don't Drakkon the story by having your alt future counterpart as the BBEG. That's only acceptable once in a series. The story would revolve around your character being an anomaly in the Grid and timeline so your constant dying in the game and restarting would be explained as a shift in timelines or you could just not restart and let the story play out and instead of being killed your were just defeated and need time to recoop or get stronger. Story would need atleast four or five endings. Perfect good, flawed good, neutral, flawed evil, perfect evil ending. Endings would be determined on how strong you were and if the populace you were protecting have a good or bad opinion of the job your team has done. Komatsu Tower like story mode with semi-leniar progression and Legacy War-esque gameplay. Nether Realm Studios would do it justice. Could have live updates and random events like the comic crossovers with Justice League and TMNT or other Ranger Cross-overs. Ending with a final expansion based around Shattered Grid or the aftermath of that event.
I would try Battle for the Grid again. They've almost doubled the roster since launch, improved gameplay, balancing, and visuals through constant patches, and the online play remains super fun. I understand and agree with the sentiment that there needs to be a new PR game. But Battle for the Grid definitely scratches that itch for me.
Ok just hear me out. For the longest time I’ve wanted a PR game made by Atlus in the style of the Persona games. It would revolve around a new group of rangers with the different suits through the ages basically skins you would get by playing through the game. If you’ve never played a Persona game they are turn based JRPGs where your character and a group of friends team up to fight the bad guys. Simple enough. However you meet your friends (in this case the other rangers) throughout the story and gain new powers and abilities by spending time with them during the out of combat sections. I dunno if I’ve explained this that well, but if you’ve ever played any persona you know what I mean.
Persona style of game would work shockingly well for a PR game. Could be funny if they even imitated the Persona mechanics but with the Rangers' Zords instead of ghosts and demons. Imagine summoning a Zord for a special attack in battle!
I would of liked a Rouge-Like, Turn-Based JRPG vs Drakon's forces and you get synergies based on if you used a full team or the same colour or one of each colour, and if Hasbro wanted to make more money it could have been shard based to make the Rangers stronger.
I played the game on Ps NOW and damn it was a fun fighting game, but there does need to be a "Marvel ultimate alliance " type team based game and RPG to skill up on fun abilities
I want for a power rangers game is in the story mode you can unlock each ranger from season to season and you can choose power ups in the arcade mode after you finish the story mode. for example Zeo red with dragon shield Or In space rangers with lights of orion Or Rpm Red with Super mega Silver Gold Mode or Dino charge red with beast X mode.
Battle for the Grid is a good game, for a fighter game. But we need more than just a fighter game. The story is only a few hours long and after that it's just dueling vs the computer or vs other players. So if you're fine with playing mortal kombat or soul caliber for hours on end that's fine. I'd prefer some kind of action or adventure game. Or even with minor RPG elements. A PR game made in the vein of Halo, Force Unleashed, or Souls, where you have an actual world to explore while fighting badguys, would add so much more replayability. Even in the SNES games we got basic adventure level sides scrollers.
Did you ever play the PS1 Power Ranger games? Lightspeed Rescue and Time Force? They were games in the vein of what you mentioned would be a good game and they were extremely good for their time! Thank you for taking the time to make these videos!
One type of style of video game I think would be cool to see a Power Rangers game be is hack-and-slash, with a similar structure to that of Darksiders or Devil May Cry. I also think maybe a coop 3D beat-em-up style game could work for Power Rangers.
So not a video game, but Renegade Game Studios has released a Power Rangers Board Game, they're working on/about to release a deck building game, and they have announced a 5e compatible game coming out eventually! If you like board games, check them out!
The Battle for the Grid story isn't over yet. It's continuing in the arcade mode for the DLC characters. Scorpina brought the start of the second story mode chapter with her release. Picks up just after the main game. No new CG art or anything, all the story is told through text boxes. But it's great they're continuing the story
I think a final fantasy type game, perhaps in the FF12 and onwards game format would be good. Come to think of it, if they teamed up with Square Enix to make this happen, I think we would have a masterpiece in the making. Imagine the kind of depth you could incorporate into a game with a multiverse as big as it is. We could possibly even have side quests for more rangers to be added to the team, weapons, power ups, fight other PR villains etc .😁😁
As much as I love fighting games, Power Rangers has a potential to be much more of a jack-of-all-trades type franchise. You can do kind of a gacha game, like Legacy wars, beat em ups like mega battle (except not shitty this time), a single player, couch coop or online type game in a dynasty warriors style or even an arena fighter like the Naruto Storm games. There's so much potential here, that the former rights holders have not used properly. Hasbro can clearly manage a franchise of this magnitude as one can see with something like Transformers. I just want this Universe of content that I love, to flourish like other media. :)
Is Rita Repulsa the alternate version when Zordon and Doggie visited her? Everyone seems to forget that she is the Mystic Mother, the Mother of Good Magic.
This took place during the MMPR era so she was still evil. And in the comics they teased her being Mystic Mother in the future in an issue about her. It was a nice one-shot.
When Drakkon actually got all the power of the Grid he rewrote history, Zordon and Rita were Ma and PA Kent. Doggie Kreuger was Krypton. Finster-5 was Alfred Pennyworth. Drakkon was the greatest hero his world had ever known and he was both Bruce Wayne and Superman fighting a giant Green Dragon, White Tiger and I think a Black Bracciosaurus. His enemies were literally his alternate timeline good boy equivalents trying to fix the timeline. It was alot
I am actually thoroughly surprised that Hasbro didn't announce a hero collection mobile game as soon as they took hold of the license. Known IPs just print money in that genre.
I always wanted a sudo open world rpg where you create a character and had to pull the rangers of old back to gather after some sort of cataclysm! You’d start off with a weakened morphed and as you level up you gain a customized appearance in the you chose at the beginning and unlock a custom zord.
Customization options could be design elements from Past Rangers that you rescue. Allowing you go update your look as you progress. As for Zords, maybe you could have something similar to the Legendary Megazord which combines with zords based on different seasons.

How about a game like the recently released marvels avengers but not as buggy or pay to win. Combined with the openness of Destiny 2 and the giant robot controls of Titanfall 2. I think the Power Rangers Hexagon story would be perfect to build an open world Power Rangers game. Letting players play on a team all new to the game made up of Players.

Chroma Squad started as a PR RPG but they were denied a licence. It evolved into a loving parody that's well worth checking out as you can get it cheap as hell. Plays like an Xcom style strategy game, much like Mario V Rabbids, and has a base management part too. I really enjoyed it and a real PR game, done in the same style but with better graphics could really work.
I was thinking the same thing about how it's time for a proper power rangers game. I really like battle for the grid, but I don't like how the zords are used which is kind of a let down since the zords are my favorite things about power rangers. But what I would really like to see is a game that that lets a red ranger use their battlizer armor. I have been waiting 22 years for a game that has a battlizer since the first battlizer appeared in power rangers in space.
They add about three characters every few months. The first time they did it for free but since they have had about three paid sets of three characters.
The best ranger game I’ve played style-wise has probably been lightspeed rescue for ps1 , if they did an updated style like that with stories like BftG or the super legends would be awesome to give reasons to play different teams
A dynasty warriors style beat em up with all the different teams. Complete with transformations related to the team or ranger such as battilizers and power up forms. For example the jungle fury team would be more combo oriented and so on
There definitely needs to be a action rpg power ranger game. Maybe one where you can create your own ranger and pick a color and whatever type of ranger you want like if I wanted to choose be a blue ranger but want the 2 generation red dragon zord and it's blue instead of red.
I need a full PR game like yesterday. Lol. I could see a PR game working in different ways. If they wanted just an MMPR one then I could see them doing something more like RPGs like the older Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest games with something turn-based, swap your party members whenever, and have a pretty in-depth story. Or if they wanted to make use of the franchise as a whole then they could do something Dynasty Warriors or X-Men Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance where you can customize your parties a little more.
I'd love a JRPG with different rangers to recruit. You could have a bunch of sentai only rangers as secret characters such as the Dairanger Suits, Gosei Green, MidoNinger, Deathryuger/KyoryuNavy, and others.
I had this idea of an open-world "battle-royale" style game. Player teams would vote on which Ranger team they play as. The teams would be teleported into iconic locations, like Angel Grove, initially armed with their Ranger teams' sidearms. There would be boxes around the map that held the individual weapons but the weapons have to match, like if you found as power axe but were playing as Mystic Force then it wouldn't provide a stat boost. There are Megazord tokens around the map, collect enough to bring forth the Megazord of your team.
I personally would want it to at least be action adventure if for some reason it can't be open world (but with today's technology, I don't see why that can't be done). Have the team have their own mechanics. I mean the Rangers do have their own weapons. Jason with his sword, Trini with her daggers, Billy with his lance, Zack with his axe, Kimberly with her bow and Tommy with his Dragon Dagger. Maybe they can even showcase how their fighting styles are different. They can hvae fights on Earth, on the moon, in space or even other planets. The MegaZords may have to move slower, but like their size, their attacks would be massive. Maybe even have one part of the game where you have to fight Serpenterra (which may lead into fighting Lord Zedd). Some possible cameos would be cool to like Magna Defender, Phantom Ranger, Eric Myers, Trey, Ninjor, Ranger Slayer and Zen-Aku if they can work them in the story. DLC stuff like other Ranger suits I think would be pretty cool to. As for soundtrack, I would sooo love to have the great Ron Wasserman come back for that. His music was legendary.
Personally I think that for this form of a game that you're talking about it would be best handled by the company that created the Dynasty Warriors game franchise and others just like it. The drones soldiers could always be the Puppy Patrol or basically anyone of the cannon fodder drone characters that the Power Rangers often dealt with, while the Big Bad Bosses within each levels could be the monsters that they famously battled. For example goldar could be one and scorpina could be another, if it was the machine Empire you could have gasket or Louie kaboom. Followed by the Final Bosses for each special level being Zedd, King Mondo, and so on. You could basically play through the generations of Power Rangers that way and get multiple Rangers all use at the same time. You'd also be able to upgrade their weapons attacks and armor just like you're saying. Finally the last level could be this exact story where you get to use each different set of Rangers mixing together for the big battle against Drakon. Now if we wanted an original game that played something similar to PS4 Spider-Man for example I would think it'd be better suited to come up with a completely original Power Ranger game with original Rangers and story of its own. That way you can rope in New players and fans while enticing the old ones to check out this idea. In the end though these are just my thoughts. Hope everyone who stops to take the time and read this enjoys my idea for a Ranger games.
I think there should Not only they could tackle stories that they can't do in Live Action but also they don't need to Spent the Money just get the Actors or Worse get some Look A Like if they can't get the Actor to Reprise their Ranger Parts just for a Real Small Cameo for Example. And as for Features I want I just Simply Want A Game Similar to the Marvel Ultimate Alliance Games but with Powers Rangers. Where you May Choose any 4 Members of any Power Rangers Team and Control them in a Either a RPG and or Fighting Style of Game. And as for The Megazord Battles those would be saved for Only Boss Battles if it's a RPG Game, but if it's a Fighting Game the Megazord Battles would happen in the Final Round of the Current Fight, and the good news is that You Get to Choose any One Megazords Available Pending on Which Team Members from which Power Rangers Teams or Shows you have chosen as your Team
Battle for the Grid, with all the DLC, is pretty darn solid! The learning curve to play isn’t bad, but to get good is very hard. I’d like to see a BFTG2: 1) much more expansive roster. Start the game with at least 10 characters with another 10 to unlock by playing. Then add another 10-20 via DLC over a 2 year period in waves 2) better special move animations. Some of the characters have some pretty sick looking moves; whiles others are very -meh- 3) Better balanced fighters; no reason Jason and Tommy should be so lame in a PR game 😂 4) More Expansive Story Mode with cutscenes, voice acting, and multiple storylines to go through with a few different characters or teams Do those things with the framework from the first and you’ve got a banger worth shelling $60 out for
I wish there was a Power Ranger game where you could not only choose any Ranger or Villain but also be able to create your own Ranger. And the Storyline could be one that is based around the choices you make for the Characters and experience the consequences and joys of that choice.
I wouldn't mind a Power Rangers RPG. That would be great. Power Rangers is all about teamwork so I think it would be better if they focused that on one team or maybe just a select few of Rangers to make a brand new one like they did in Beyond the Grid where they had to come together as a team. Maybe a Solar Rangers storyline about what happened afterwards because we sure aren't getting them back anytime soon aside from that one cameo.
And meant make that game about the custom ranger going back in re to make sure events of each swries happens since the vadie of the game is messing with the past
i would actually love to see a power rangers board game similar to dungeons and dragons not quite rpg based but more rpg inspired still tells a great story as you advance through the game but the story changes each time you play and is dependent of the choices you make throughout the game to guide the story

Chroma Squad is the best PR game. If they'd have been able to get the actual license I mean...What we got was a great homage and parody of PR though and I really should replay it again. Recommend it to fans who like Xcom style strategy games. Feels like Mario V Rabbids in many ways actually.
I'd like a turn based strategy RPG based off of Super Mega Force, but instead of Ranger Keys you use the Rangers themselves. Each Ranger team has advantages and disadvantages, like Zeo starts at level 1 and comes late in the game, but has the fastest growth of all the teams. MMPR has high base states, but slow level and stat growth.
It would be cool to get some more Rangers and villains in the roster for BFTG... I would like to see a couple Lightspeed Rescue, Ninja Storm, and In Space content in BFTG personally
I think you're on to something with the Avengers styled game, linear level based design by still explorable, The option to choose which ranger with co-op multiplayer chances for crisis around the world. And not to beat the story to death, but actually playing through the shattered grid story in game form, Sentry raids and putty invasions. It sounds super fun to me honestly
How about do it as a role playing game where you are the green ranger and it goes about daily life with power encounters where you fight. Sort of like Harry Potter and the sorcerors stone for Gameboy color.
This is a pretty decent game. There a few others out there that I think people would enjoy hearing about. There is a similar phone game called Legacy Wars, and there was a console beat em up too. One I think you’d love to dig into if you have not already was Chroma Squad, which was a tactical RPG that was clearly inspired by/ making fun of power rangers.
I agree with you, But I think a game in the direction of an mmorpg would be very nice, because of you can build a full team with other players, maybe a full customised zord would be able to make it too.
The only problem is you can only have so many playable characters and bosses unless they’re constantly pumping updates or implement certain ranger seasons which could work to some degree.
Though I'd love a game like marvel avengers for any ranger team don't get me wrong. Imagine though if you will, a power ranger game like dragon age, where you can have both a demorphed and morphed form. The character is completely customizable to you and you choose your color with the preset characters receiving the colors you didn't pick. The story and morphing powers, along with the zords is unique to the game, plus the relationship system with the higher it is, the better the team works together, plus I'm a sucker for a romance system as well. Perhaps the combat can be a mix of dragon age and say like a dynasty warriors I'm the sense that your character has combos that they can perform but also it's simple to activate you're super attacks. I know this game idea is super ambitious but just imagine

We need a Marvel: Ultimate Alliance type game. Heavily story driven and the current comics would work just fine for that. You can play as most of the PR teams and even mix them up. Unlock gear, lvl up, unlock costumes and even more Rangers, Zords AND villains.
hmmm, i would love a game that support all the different ranger-teams.... so you start in the classic-team, collect ZEO-Shards to unlock new Teams and Zords by fighting Enemys incl. Endbosses like Goldar and other "Monsters of the Day". And to get new Zord Combinations, Battellizer, Weapons you need a "science-lab" and farm items Its a thing of Diablo meets Streetfighter (Zordbattles) and a bit of X-Com And there could be Crossover-Events with the Japanese Super Sentai Series that dont come to the US or to us in the EU
I personally don't want to see a game like The Avengers. Live services games don't work and companies only see them as a way to nickel and dime gamers. I mean there's already that Power Rangers game for mobile that does that. So how about a strategy RPG? There's a series in japan called the Super Robot Wars franchise that has characters taken from so many different franchises and they all intertwine with the story of the game. That way you can add all the teams of rangers and have them fight against multiple foes from the seasons. Take it a step farther and have them animate the game's fight scenes like they do for the battles in games like Fire Emblem and the SRW series. Let boom create the story since they've done an amazing job with their comics, and I think you could have a really fun experience. Maybe include some of the different season's own stories as well. SD Gundam G Generation series does this. It provides the different series storylines to play through for players.
I'd like there to be an option to create your own character and decide which ranger team to be on and you can decide to be good or evil or be evil turned good or good turned evil
PR MMORPG (self peefrence) With lots of cheese and serious. Ya get to pick your Ranger type/color which would act as a class. You get race choices for extra bonuses. Team bonus if your party is of the same Ranger series and synergies that work with other types of Rangers. It works it's way from the lesser BBEG like Rita all the way to the BBBEG Draken (he is an onmiversal threat so the biggest big bad I've seen in PR) IDK just a thought. I'm kinda sick of fighting/level based PR games. MMOs feel like they can do the aesthetic of PR right too.
A Musho or a Actuon RPG feel like the best fits for PR game. Maybe a specical action game like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Whatever the case it needs Megazord levels!
I think that the gameplay should be similar to the one of Final Fantasy 7 Remake with being able to switch between characters during battle. That way we can get to see each rangers individual abilities.
I think they should create a power rangers' game using the same format as red dead redemption. You can follow the official storyline where your choices effect you throughout the game and/or you can play an online game where you can create your character, earn points or something to become a ranger, go on different quests, etc.
I would love to have the ability to make your own team of 6 rangers. If you could give rangers different power ups, like when Adam used the defender vest or RPM red ranger using shark attack mode would be awesome too
Here's my pitch: New team. Original to the game. Possible old rangers as guest stars. As for gameplay: I always tought power rangers could be a good fit for a tactics game.
This would be amazing, but Power Rangers doesn't have anywhere near the fanbase required to justify the investment of AAA game which would hundreds of millions of dollars. Spider-Man and Batman have multiple billion-dollar movies and far more of a cross-generational appeal as opposed to PR which is still very niche. It's amazing that Battle for the Grid is as good as it is given that it's a budget title - so excited to see who they add to it.
I liked original sega game gave me everything I wanted in a rangers game....I completely agree a great ranger game built around original cast would be huge....something like jade empire meets ff7
My ideal PR game would similar to Star Wars Fallen Order traveling from planet to planet helping/rescuing rangers with a team of 3 people with classes like support damage and tank and more occasionally you would unlock a new ranger to join your journey by either rescuing them or them coming to help you. And you can’t have a PR game without zord so every so often when the boss gets defeated you can man the sores and combine, a feature that would be awesome would be able to combine zord form other PR teams say Dino’s Thunder Zords and Dino Charge or Time Force and SPD Edit: if not like that would like one like Marvel future fight except without the p2w factor or a turn based combat like Star Wars galaxy of heroes
Renegade Games had announced that it had entered a partnership with Hasbro to create 3 tabletop RPGs based on three of Hasbro's properties those properties being My Little Pony, Transformers, and Power Rangers and all three were confirmed to be compatible with the rule-set in 5th Edition D&D with the release window for the Power Rangers Tabletop RPG being announced for hopefully around the 2nd quarter of this year.

But we're still light on details about it with the only key details known being that the Power Rangers Tabletop RPG will compatible with the rule-set of 5th Edition D&D, and it's supposed to be officially revealed sometime in the 2nd quarter of this year. Meaning we still don't know if it'll be possible to do crossovers with the other two Tabletop RPGS Renegade Games, and Hasbro are doing those being the My Little Pony Tabletop RPG, and Transformers Tabletop RPG, along with still not knowing which elements of the 5th Edition D&D rule-set it's compatible with.
Yo if we got a legit power rangers game in todays world with awesome graphics, fluid controls, and tons of content that would be amazing!! Imagine zord battles! They would make tons of money especially if they did different games and dlc there is so much that they could easily do with all the previous years of power rangers! I would never put this game down
I've played Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, and it was pretty good. But it could've been better, so yes! They should make a more bigger and better game.
The 'perfect' Power Rangers game could not exist, at least not on its own. As for a good one? I think you were pretty close to the mark with the Avengers comparison. It's almost impossible to avoid centring on a particular team, so it would have to be the MMPRs. Building on that with updates and content releases. It would have to fully playable, to the extent of a hobby like tabletop wargaming or the kind of urchins who play ONE MMO consistently (no hate, I used to be one, still would be if life was better... and cheaper) as a solo game. But with multiplayer features, I imagine something like DFO, Kritika, Closers, Vindictus, etc. for the 'live' coop, with some Xenoblade Chronicles X style asynchronous multiplayer for the soloers among us. The universe already supports ALL the possible dimensions so there's no reason a single player's ranger team couldn't contribute to taking down an eldritch existence threatening enemy by 0.5% at a time. Going completely bonkers I could see totally new ranger forces being introduced for the sake of gameplay variety, or at least style variety. WIZARD RANGERS. Old School KNIGHT RANGERS. SEAL TEAM RANGERS. Total 'never-gonna-happen-pipe-dream' unless I get a few million dollars and put it together myself, but I can dream right?
i had a similar idea years ago for a power rangers multiverse kind of game where u play as an oc going thru different points in the rangerverse but not like time jumps really like some shit went down and combined everything and alot of rangers got destroyed or went dormant and some fight in isolation or went bad and your oc meets up with various rangers, learning their powers so like your oc can tap into different ranger modes like the master morpher (was calling it the void coin cuz it could copy different powers and even make your own custom suit i guess) and u could go around taming wild zords too that were still around or even evil or good and construct your own megazord (i know it's a fanboy wet dream lol) I didn't really work out an actual plot i only had a mental image of teaming up with the white ranger against a serpentera that had bear zord arms and everything was HD as fuck and it was a big city and freeflow combat like arkham was happening....it's a bit much but i think there's an idea here somewhere especially with all the Drakkon stuff
It's not what you're suggesting, but there already exists the Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid board game. It's the best co-op I've ever played to date and nails the feeling of Power Rangers just about perfectly.
Playing thia one on the phone ia fun and all and I havent played battle for the grid on console but i would love an open world rpg power rangers with a ship to fly in and everything. Even being able to hop between different times or universes would be awesome.
A game would be great. But making an actual series following the Lord Drakken storyline would also be cool too. I'm really tired of the new Rangers every year. I think the Rangers were more popular when the Rangers remained the same longer because it gave you time to form an attachment to the character. The one year and done policy makes it to where I don't even care to learn their names because you know as soon as you do like a particular Ranger, those Rangers are finished. That's justjus my opinion though.
Just imagine: A Power Rangers game with the story and graphics of Spider-Man PS4, have the fight scenes be big action set pieces like Ghost of Tushima. after that release an online mode where you can play with 2-5 other people doing different missions.

I believe an open world power Rangers game would be awesome. Weekly events, a great story campaign (Co-op as an option), side missions, upgrades for weapons and armor and Zords, zord battles, and finally, maybe to put a VR experience of the megazord cockpit.

I personally thought that Power Rangers could be adapted amazingly to a Dynasty Warriors type engine. Imagine, playing as your favorite rangers, running around different environment, hacking down legions of Putties, Cogs, Paranatrons, etc. before either encountering a monster or an enemy commander. And maybe, then, you could have a 1 on 1 Megazord vs. Giant Bad Guy battle.

I'd take a nice Power Rangers game where you make your own Ranger. Customize the character and then Ranger uniform/costume using parts from other Ranger Teams linked to the Morphin Grid. As you progress, like any good sixth ranger or ranger team, you will unlock new morphin modes and abilities and weapons to increase your strength.
The co-op feature could be backed by a story where this one team has a single inconsistency throughout its own multiverse where the sixth ranger(You) is different in every timeline. This inconsistency would create rifts or ripple in the space time continuum where other sixth rangers are able to drop-in or out of your game/story. Each ranger looking different.
Don't Drakkon the story by having your alt future counterpart as the BBEG. That's only acceptable once in a series.
The story would revolve around your character being an anomaly in the Grid and timeline so your constant dying in the game and restarting would be explained as a shift in timelines or you could just not restart and let the story play out and instead of being killed your were just defeated and need time to recoop or get stronger. Story would need atleast four or five endings. Perfect good, flawed good, neutral, flawed evil, perfect evil ending. Endings would be determined on how strong you were and if the populace you were protecting have a good or bad opinion of the job your team has done.
Komatsu Tower like story mode with semi-leniar progression and Legacy War-esque gameplay. Nether Realm Studios would do it justice.
Could have live updates and random events like the comic crossovers with Justice League and TMNT or other Ranger Cross-overs. Ending with a final expansion based around Shattered Grid or the aftermath of that event.

I would try Battle for the Grid again. They've almost doubled the roster since launch, improved gameplay, balancing, and visuals through constant patches, and the online play remains super fun. I understand and agree with the sentiment that there needs to be a new PR game. But Battle for the Grid definitely scratches that itch for me.

Ok just hear me out. For the longest time I’ve wanted a PR game made by Atlus in the style of the Persona games. It would revolve around a new group of rangers with the different suits through the ages basically skins you would get by playing through the game.
If you’ve never played a Persona game they are turn based JRPGs where your character and a group of friends team up to fight the bad guys. Simple enough.
However you meet your friends (in this case the other rangers) throughout the story and gain new powers and abilities by spending time with them during the out of combat sections.
I dunno if I’ve explained this that well, but if you’ve ever played any persona you know what I mean.
Persona style of game would work shockingly well for a PR game.
Could be funny if they even imitated the Persona mechanics but with the Rangers' Zords instead of ghosts and demons.
Imagine summoning a Zord for a special attack in battle!
I would of liked a Rouge-Like, Turn-Based JRPG vs Drakon's forces and you get synergies based on if you used a full team or the same colour or one of each colour, and if Hasbro wanted to make more money it could have been shard based to make the Rangers stronger.

I want for a power rangers game is in the story mode you can unlock each ranger from season to season and you can choose power ups in the arcade mode after you finish the story mode. for example Zeo red with dragon shield Or In space rangers with lights of orion Or Rpm Red with Super mega Silver Gold Mode or Dino charge red with beast X mode.
Those sound cool, but could be a bit much depending on the type of game.
Battle for the Grid is a good game, for a fighter game. But we need more than just a fighter game. The story is only a few hours long and after that it's just dueling vs the computer or vs other players. So if you're fine with playing mortal kombat or soul caliber for hours on end that's fine.
I'd prefer some kind of action or adventure game. Or even with minor RPG elements. A PR game made in the vein of Halo, Force Unleashed, or Souls, where you have an actual world to explore while fighting badguys, would add so much more replayability. Even in the SNES games we got basic adventure level sides scrollers.
Did you ever play the PS1 Power Ranger games? Lightspeed Rescue and Time Force? They were games in the vein of what you mentioned would be a good game and they were extremely good for their time!

One type of style of video game I think would be cool to see a Power Rangers game be is hack-and-slash, with a similar structure to that of Darksiders or Devil May Cry. I also think maybe a coop 3D beat-em-up style game could work for Power Rangers.

The Battle for the Grid story isn't over yet. It's continuing in the arcade mode for the DLC characters. Scorpina brought the start of the second story mode chapter with her release. Picks up just after the main game. No new CG art or anything, all the story is told through text boxes. But it's great they're continuing the story

I think a final fantasy type game, perhaps in the FF12 and onwards game format would be good.
Come to think of it, if they teamed up with Square Enix to make this happen, I think we would have a masterpiece in the making.
Imagine the kind of depth you could incorporate into a game with a multiverse as big as it is. We could possibly even have side quests for more rangers to be added to the team, weapons, power ups, fight other PR villains etc .😁😁
As much as I love fighting games, Power Rangers has a potential to be much more of a jack-of-all-trades type franchise. You can do kind of a gacha game, like Legacy wars, beat em ups like mega battle (except not shitty this time), a single player, couch coop or online type game in a dynasty warriors style or even an arena fighter like the Naruto Storm games. There's so much potential here, that the former rights holders have not used properly. Hasbro can clearly manage a franchise of this magnitude as one can see with something like Transformers. I just want this Universe of content that I love, to flourish like other media. :)

When Drakkon actually got all the power of the Grid he rewrote history, Zordon and Rita were Ma and PA Kent. Doggie Kreuger was Krypton. Finster-5 was Alfred Pennyworth. Drakkon was the greatest hero his world had ever known and he was both Bruce Wayne and Superman fighting a giant Green Dragon, White Tiger and I think a Black Bracciosaurus. His enemies were literally his alternate timeline good boy equivalents trying to fix the timeline. It was alot

I always wanted a sudo open world rpg where you create a character and had to pull the rangers of old back to gather after some sort of cataclysm! You’d start off with a weakened morphed and as you level up you gain a customized appearance in the you chose at the beginning and unlock a custom zord.
Customization options could be design elements from Past Rangers that you rescue. Allowing you go update your look as you progress.
As for Zords, maybe you could have something similar to the Legendary Megazord which combines with zords based on different seasons.

How about a game like the recently released marvels avengers but not as buggy or pay to win. Combined with the openness of Destiny 2 and the giant robot controls of Titanfall 2. I think the Power Rangers Hexagon story would be perfect to build an open world Power Rangers game. Letting players play on a team all new to the game made up of Players.

Megaforce literally looks like an RPG
Chroma Squad started as a PR RPG but they were denied a licence. It evolved into a loving parody that's well worth checking out as you can get it cheap as hell. Plays like an Xcom style strategy game, much like Mario V Rabbids, and has a base management part too. I really enjoyed it and a real PR game, done in the same style but with better graphics could really work.
I was thinking the same thing about how it's time for a proper power rangers game. I really like battle for the grid, but I don't like how the zords are used which is kind of a let down since the zords are my favorite things about power rangers. But what I would really like to see is a game that that lets a red ranger use their battlizer armor. I have been waiting 22 years for a game that has a battlizer since the first battlizer appeared in power rangers in space.

A dynasty warriors style beat em up with all the different teams. Complete with transformations related to the team or ranger such as battilizers and power up forms. For example the jungle fury team would be more combo oriented and so on

I need a full PR game like yesterday. Lol. I could see a PR game working in different ways. If they wanted just an MMPR one then I could see them doing something more like RPGs like the older Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest games with something turn-based, swap your party members whenever, and have a pretty in-depth story. Or if they wanted to make use of the franchise as a whole then they could do something Dynasty Warriors or X-Men Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance where you can customize your parties a little more.

I'd love a JRPG with different rangers to recruit. You could have a bunch of sentai only rangers as secret characters such as the Dairanger Suits, Gosei Green, MidoNinger, Deathryuger/KyoryuNavy, and others.
I had this idea of an open-world "battle-royale" style game. Player teams would vote on which Ranger team they play as. The teams would be teleported into iconic locations, like Angel Grove, initially armed with their Ranger teams' sidearms. There would be boxes around the map that held the individual weapons but the weapons have to match, like if you found as power axe but were playing as Mystic Force then it wouldn't provide a stat boost. There are Megazord tokens around the map, collect enough to bring forth the Megazord of your team.
I personally would want it to at least be action adventure if for some reason it can't be open world (but with today's technology, I don't see why that can't be done). Have the team have their own mechanics. I mean the Rangers do have their own weapons. Jason with his sword, Trini with her daggers, Billy with his lance, Zack with his axe, Kimberly with her bow and Tommy with his Dragon Dagger. Maybe they can even showcase how their fighting styles are different. They can hvae fights on Earth, on the moon, in space or even other planets. The MegaZords may have to move slower, but like their size, their attacks would be massive. Maybe even have one part of the game where you have to fight Serpenterra (which may lead into fighting Lord Zedd). Some possible cameos would be cool to like Magna Defender, Phantom Ranger, Eric Myers, Trey, Ninjor, Ranger Slayer and Zen-Aku if they can work them in the story. DLC stuff like other Ranger suits I think would be pretty cool to. As for soundtrack, I would sooo love to have the great Ron Wasserman come back for that. His music was legendary.

Personally I think that for this form of a game that you're talking about it would be best handled by the company that created the Dynasty Warriors game franchise and others just like it. The drones soldiers could always be the Puppy Patrol or basically anyone of the cannon fodder drone characters that the Power Rangers often dealt with, while the Big Bad Bosses within each levels could be the monsters that they famously battled. For example goldar could be one and scorpina could be another, if it was the machine Empire you could have gasket or Louie kaboom. Followed by the Final Bosses for each special level being Zedd, King Mondo, and so on. You could basically play through the generations of Power Rangers that way and get multiple Rangers all use at the same time. You'd also be able to upgrade their weapons attacks and armor just like you're saying. Finally the last level could be this exact story where you get to use each different set of Rangers mixing together for the big battle against Drakon.
Now if we wanted an original game that played something similar to PS4 Spider-Man for example I would think it'd be better suited to come up with a completely original Power Ranger game with original Rangers and story of its own. That way you can rope in New players and fans while enticing the old ones to check out this idea.
In the end though these are just my thoughts. Hope everyone who stops to take the time and read this enjoys my idea for a Ranger games.
I think there should Not only they could tackle stories that they can't do in Live Action but also they don't need to Spent the Money just get the Actors or Worse get some Look A Like if they can't get the Actor to Reprise their Ranger Parts just for a Real Small Cameo for Example. And as for Features I want I just Simply Want A Game Similar to the Marvel Ultimate Alliance Games but with Powers Rangers. Where you May Choose any 4 Members of any Power Rangers Team and Control them in a Either a RPG and or Fighting Style of Game. And as for The Megazord Battles those would be saved for Only Boss Battles if it's a RPG Game, but if it's a Fighting Game the Megazord Battles would happen in the Final Round of the Current Fight, and the good news is that You Get to Choose any One Megazords Available Pending on Which Team Members from which Power Rangers Teams or Shows you have chosen as your Team
Battle for the Grid, with all the DLC, is pretty darn solid! The learning curve to play isn’t bad, but to get good is very hard.
I’d like to see a BFTG2:
1) much more expansive roster. Start the game with at least 10 characters with another 10 to unlock by playing. Then add another 10-20 via DLC over a 2 year period in waves
2) better special move animations. Some of the characters have some pretty sick looking moves; whiles others are very -meh-
3) Better balanced fighters; no reason Jason and Tommy should be so lame in a PR game 😂
4) More Expansive Story Mode with cutscenes, voice acting, and multiple storylines to go through with a few different characters or teams
Do those things with the framework from the first and you’ve got a banger worth shelling $60 out for

I wish there was a Power Ranger game where you could not only choose any Ranger or Villain but also be able to create your own Ranger. And the Storyline could be one that is based around the choices you make for the Characters and experience the consequences and joys of that choice.
I wouldn't mind a Power Rangers RPG. That would be great. Power Rangers is all about teamwork so I think it would be better if they focused that on one team or maybe just a select few of Rangers to make a brand new one like they did in Beyond the Grid where they had to come together as a team. Maybe a Solar Rangers storyline about what happened afterwards because we sure aren't getting them back anytime soon aside from that one cameo.

i would actually love to see a power rangers board game similar to dungeons and dragons not quite rpg based but more rpg inspired still tells a great story as you advance through the game but the story changes each time you play and is dependent of the choices you make throughout the game to guide the story

I'd like a turn based strategy RPG based off of Super Mega Force, but instead of Ranger Keys you use the Rangers themselves. Each Ranger team has advantages and disadvantages, like Zeo starts at level 1 and comes late in the game, but has the fastest growth of all the teams. MMPR has high base states, but slow level and stat growth.

I think you're on to something with the Avengers styled game, linear level based design by still explorable, The option to choose which ranger with co-op multiplayer chances for crisis around the world. And not to beat the story to death, but actually playing through the shattered grid story in game form, Sentry raids and putty invasions. It sounds super fun to me honestly

This is a pretty decent game. There a few others out there that I think people would enjoy hearing about. There is a similar phone game called Legacy Wars, and there was a console beat em up too. One I think you’d love to dig into if you have not already was Chroma Squad, which was a tactical RPG that was clearly inspired by/ making fun of power rangers.

The only problem is you can only have so many playable characters and bosses unless they’re constantly pumping updates or implement certain ranger seasons which could work to some degree.
Though I'd love a game like marvel avengers for any ranger team don't get me wrong. Imagine though if you will, a power ranger game like dragon age, where you can have both a demorphed and morphed form. The character is completely customizable to you and you choose your color with the preset characters receiving the colors you didn't pick. The story and morphing powers, along with the zords is unique to the game, plus the relationship system with the higher it is, the better the team works together, plus I'm a sucker for a romance system as well. Perhaps the combat can be a mix of dragon age and say like a dynasty warriors I'm the sense that your character has combos that they can perform but also it's simple to activate you're super attacks. I know this game idea is super ambitious but just imagine

We need a Marvel: Ultimate Alliance type game. Heavily story driven and the current comics would work just fine for that. You can play as most of the PR teams and even mix them up. Unlock gear, lvl up, unlock costumes and even more Rangers, Zords AND villains.
hmmm, i would love a game that support all the different ranger-teams.... so you start in the classic-team, collect ZEO-Shards to unlock new Teams and Zords by fighting Enemys incl. Endbosses like Goldar and other "Monsters of the Day". And to get new Zord Combinations, Battellizer, Weapons you need a "science-lab" and farm items

And there could be Crossover-Events with the Japanese Super Sentai Series that dont come to the US or to us in the EU
I personally don't want to see a game like The Avengers. Live services games don't work and companies only see them as a way to nickel and dime gamers. I mean there's already that Power Rangers game for mobile that does that. So how about a strategy RPG?
There's a series in japan called the Super Robot Wars franchise that has characters taken from so many different franchises and they all intertwine with the story of the game. That way you can add all the teams of rangers and have them fight against multiple foes from the seasons. Take it a step farther and have them animate the game's fight scenes like they do for the battles in games like Fire Emblem and the SRW series.
Let boom create the story since they've done an amazing job with their comics, and I think you could have a really fun experience. Maybe include some of the different season's own stories as well. SD Gundam G Generation series does this. It provides the different series storylines to play through for players.

Ya get to pick your Ranger type/color which would act as a class. You get race choices for extra bonuses. Team bonus if your party is of the same Ranger series and synergies that work with other types of Rangers. It works it's way from the lesser BBEG like Rita all the way to the BBBEG Draken (he is an onmiversal threat so the biggest big bad I've seen in PR)
IDK just a thought. I'm kinda sick of fighting/level based PR games. MMOs feel like they can do the aesthetic of PR right too.

I think that the gameplay should be similar to the one of Final Fantasy 7 Remake with being able to switch between characters during battle. That way we can get to see each rangers individual abilities.
I think they should create a power rangers' game using the same format as red dead redemption. You can follow the official storyline where your choices effect you throughout the game and/or you can play an online game where you can create your character, earn points or something to become a ranger, go on different quests, etc.

This would be amazing, but Power Rangers doesn't have anywhere near the fanbase required to justify the investment of AAA game which would hundreds of millions of dollars. Spider-Man and Batman have multiple billion-dollar movies and far more of a cross-generational appeal as opposed to PR which is still very niche. It's amazing that Battle for the Grid is as good as it is given that it's a budget title - so excited to see who they add to it.

My ideal PR game would similar to Star Wars Fallen Order traveling from planet to planet helping/rescuing rangers with a team of 3 people with classes like support damage and tank and more occasionally you would unlock a new ranger to join your journey by either rescuing them or them coming to help you. And you can’t have a PR game without zord so every so often when the boss gets defeated you can man the sores and combine, a feature that would be awesome would be able to combine zord form other PR teams say Dino’s Thunder Zords and Dino Charge or Time Force and SPD

I would like to see it as an AAA game, action RPG akin to FF7 Remake with a good combo system. Flushed out with great story telling and cut scenes
Renegade Games had announced that it had entered a partnership with Hasbro to create 3 tabletop RPGs based on three of Hasbro's properties those properties being My Little Pony, Transformers, and Power Rangers and all three were confirmed to be compatible with the rule-set in 5th Edition D&D with the release window for the Power Rangers Tabletop RPG being announced for hopefully around the 2nd quarter of this year.

But we're still light on details about it with the only key details known being that the Power Rangers Tabletop RPG will compatible with the rule-set of 5th Edition D&D, and it's supposed to be officially revealed sometime in the 2nd quarter of this year. Meaning we still don't know if it'll be possible to do crossovers with the other two Tabletop RPGS Renegade Games, and Hasbro are doing those being the My Little Pony Tabletop RPG, and Transformers Tabletop RPG, along with still not knowing which elements of the 5th Edition D&D rule-set it's compatible with.
Yo if we got a legit power rangers game in todays world with awesome graphics, fluid controls, and tons of content that would be amazing!! Imagine zord battles! They would make tons of money especially if they did different games and dlc there is so much that they could easily do with all the previous years of power rangers! I would never put this game down

I've played Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, and it was pretty good. But it could've been better, so yes! They should make a more bigger and better game.
The 'perfect' Power Rangers game could not exist, at least not on its own. As for a good one? I think you were pretty close to the mark with the Avengers comparison. It's almost impossible to avoid centring on a particular team, so it would have to be the MMPRs. Building on that with updates and content releases.
It would have to fully playable, to the extent of a hobby like tabletop wargaming or the kind of urchins who play ONE MMO consistently (no hate, I used to be one, still would be if life was better... and cheaper) as a solo game. But with multiplayer features, I imagine something like DFO, Kritika, Closers, Vindictus, etc. for the 'live' coop, with some Xenoblade Chronicles X style asynchronous multiplayer for the soloers among us. The universe already supports ALL the possible dimensions so there's no reason a single player's ranger team couldn't contribute to taking down an eldritch existence threatening enemy by 0.5% at a time.
Going completely bonkers I could see totally new ranger forces being introduced for the sake of gameplay variety, or at least style variety. WIZARD RANGERS. Old School KNIGHT RANGERS. SEAL TEAM RANGERS.

i had a similar idea years ago for a power rangers multiverse kind of game where u play as an oc going thru different points in the rangerverse but not like time jumps really like some shit went down and combined everything and alot of rangers got destroyed or went dormant and some fight in isolation or went bad and your oc meets up with various rangers, learning their powers so like your oc can tap into different ranger modes like the master morpher (was calling it the void coin cuz it could copy different powers and even make your own custom suit i guess) and u could go around taming wild zords too that were still around or even evil or good and construct your own megazord (i know it's a fanboy wet dream lol) I didn't really work out an actual plot i only had a mental image of teaming up with the white ranger against a serpentera that had bear zord arms and everything was HD as fuck and it was a big city and freeflow combat like arkham was happening....it's a bit much but i think there's an idea here somewhere especially with all the Drakkon stuff

It's not what you're suggesting, but there already exists the Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid board game. It's the best co-op I've ever played to date and nails the feeling of Power Rangers just about perfectly.

Playing thia one on the phone ia fun and all and I havent played battle for the grid on console but i would love an open world rpg power rangers with a ship to fly in and everything. Even being able to hop between different times or universes would be awesome.
i also think it would be cool if they made a game with an original team and story.
A game would be great. But making an actual series following the Lord Drakken storyline would also be cool too. I'm really tired of the new Rangers every year. I think the Rangers were more popular when the Rangers remained the same longer because it gave you time to form an attachment to the character. The one year and done policy makes it to where I don't even care to learn their names because you know as soon as you do like a particular Ranger, those Rangers are finished. That's justjus my opinion though.
Yeah I know what you mean! But, if a series isn't working too well, you also don't want to be stuck with it for more than one season
