    Great info man, and very easy to follow. Between you and Craftingbricks, I think I have found the courage to try this, after being scared away by my first visit to Bricklink's maze. This is good stuff! Cheers!

      Thanks - I really appreciate the comment and wish you the best of luck with starting out in this wonderful hobby! I will be posting an update soon for manually adding inventories from other great MOC sites such as Brick Vault.

    thanks for the amazing video, exactly to the point and helped alot. I would suggest tho to hide\blur your shipping address in the video.
    Thanks again!

      Thank you for your comment and glad you enjoyed. Regarding address - as it is a business address I didn't think it an issue - but I appreciate the suggestion.

    Hi! i would love to know, are baseplates included in inventory because I haven't seen them.
    Thanks

      It depends on the MOC - sometimes the stand for instance will come with separate instructions, but the parts should still be listed under Inventory. Feel free to link the MOC and I am happy to check it out for you.

      hi @Forever BS - if you tried to add a link it has not come through - just put the name and author of the MOC and I will search for it and let you know.

      @Forever BS after looking at this MOC - under the comments tab - did you ask about the baseplates? the designer has answered that they are not included as there are 3 options to choose from - so if you look at the image link posted you will be able to see them and make up your mind which ones you want. then in Bricklink just search for the size - ie 32x32 and it will show you all the plate options you can add to your order. looks like a fun build - good luck!

    When you source the parts Brinklink found all parts required to build the model. It did not use any parts that you have in your inventory.

      Hi Jonathan, thanks for stopping by. I don't currently have any items in my Bricklink inventory - I tend to go through the Wanted List manually and add them just before buying. Bricklink is by no means perfect - I recently ordered a heap of plant parts for a diorama, and because a few of them were not available in a certain colour, rather than warn me and prompt me to change the colour, or provide an alternative, it simply ignored these parts. This highlights the need to cross-check everything including the original bill of materials from the source inventory.

    great video, I've just never used bricklink and the first time I'll be using it is for a rather big MOC. The problem I'm having is on rebrickable, I need 241 parts and 2786 total bricks, but on Bricklink it says the unique lot is 241 but the item count is 2795. And at the bottom there are 3 more stores shown, shipping 1 missing piece each. Any idea what the problem is. Sorry for the inconvenience.

      Hi Phoenix. The first MOC can be a little tricky, until you get used to Bricklink - especially when you are attempting a large one to start. Have you clicked on the bottom stores as these will show you the items listed. Sometimes these stores show due to a rare piece but there are also other factors that could result in the discrepancy of parts - are you able to let me know the MOC and I can have a look.

    Is buying instructions from mobile and getting a pdf file compatible with mobile?

    • @mrcavallos
      @mrcavallos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there - yes they are standard PDFs - so as long as your phone can open a PDF you should be able to open these. I have even used my phone at times to follow MOC instructions whilst building.

    Can you do a tutorial for ios users?

      Hi Aidan. As these are Web based platforms the instructions should pretty much be the same. The only difference might simply be your browser - but whether you're using Safari or Chrome it shouldn't matter. See how you go and let me know if you are having any difficulties. Good luck 👍
