Nice dude! Takes some serious ambition to build one. I would imagine that the the swing gear / motor setup would be the most difficult thing? And nice thing about building / designing your own machine is you can seriously play with dimensions and weights. I bet you could easily add 1 or more feet to both the boom and the dipper, where as the big manufactures don't do that because they want you to buy bigger machines , even though they could do just that , make the small machines more capable.
GREAT UNIT. oh and if you look close you can see the big ugly(not factory) welds so yes 100% handmade .real good work there.you made a front-end loader yet? would like to see that.
Salut Daniel, très beau travail rarement vue quelque chose de si bien fait ! Est-ce possible de savoir comment tu as fait pour avoir une rotation de 360 degré ?
Hi there, great digger. Well done. What is the name of the component that allows hydraulic fluid to get to the undercarriage without the hoses getting mangled when the main body turns around 360 degrees? I really want to know so please help me :) Thank you.
This inspires me.. Now I know how to become an excavator operator... since no one seems to be hiring entry level guys, I'll just fucking build my own.. or uh, salavage parts from multiple small ones and use those. I'll do something cool.. uh, er eventually. lmao Seriously this is awesome!
Awesome I'm tying to design my own but I can't quite figure out to run the hoses through the slewing gear from the house without binding them from the rotation. Any ideas are welcome in other words... HELP😅😭
I confirm, it's 100% homemade, he thought a lot about making the centerpiece to be able to rotate 360, I know a few secrets and I doubted myself at first when he showed me his initial plan , but he blew us all away
i love how you put DAN on the side resembling the CAT logo! classic!
You dont need me to tell you how professional looking this project is. Absolutely A1, stunning! Is there a website with some build pics on there?
To say this is an awesome project would be an understatement. Very nice indeed!
I looks factory built, good job you put a lot of detail into it, he is a good engineer and builder.
great piece of work :) only thing I miss is the escavator handles ;) would make a terriffic machine :) and good machine from the looks too

That is awesome, works really well, whats the hole for?
Do you have plans? I want to build one. Awsome job!
Wow, nice job, im planning to build a log loader in the future, buying one is too damn expensive.

thanks for posting.
got drawings or photos/video of the assembly/manufacture?
you need a lazer cutter or a waterjet to made stuff like this. nice job dude!!!
Very nice work. Congratulations
Awesome job on the homemade excavator! Kinda looks like a CAT!
Take Care,
John
What you use for the slew ring and rotary union?
I love the dan logo haha nice job

it needs a better muffler, or you have a thrown connecting rod bearing.... ?
Bloody hell, good job!
Any plans
where did you get the plans from?

Seriously this is awesome!
can you show us how its is made under construction?
where is this taken

Sorry I'm late to the party. What you need is a hydraulic rotary manifold.
Would you be able to make a video of it driving with the tracks
Actually, it appears that it has more than one function at a time. He's possibly just not used to it, and he's obviously trying not to hit the house.
that is awsome!!!
how much did it cost to make
can you please get some more vids, its been a year now
Can u send me the plans ????
Good job
This thing probably cost as much in time and money as would have to just buy one and one function at a time stinks, but a decent job I must say
for sale????
You should start an equipment building business.
omg this thing is brilliant
Well done
awsome gob!!!!!!
pretty dece, i like the sticker ha you should sell them
I love how it says dan on the boom instead of cat
one function at a time? are you serious?
want to sell?
why ?
is it me or is that a pc06
i like how it sese dan in stead of cat lol.
awesome work
Umm, yeah, ok...
that thing is loud
Homemade???m
Mmmmm.... no not
385 for 385 pounds? Lol
Better not sell that, looks too much like a CAT. They may want to sue
pity it's a spaz driving it.
Not home made.

what was total cost of materials?
Let me guess, burying a dead body?
