I used to race these things about thirty years ago and had forgotten how much fun it was, now I'm old and it's time I go for my second childhood !
I've been watching your reviews on the quads and thought I might get one, now I see this and I want one of these !
I like that controller, the way it gives you a choice of right hand or left, I'm right handed but drive like a lefty.

I brought one of these a month ago and I love it even though I'm still running stock...but now I'm about to start upgrading it to brushless....I need more power & speed...One of the main likes about this RC for me is it can take a beating....And the optional handed transmitter is excellent... I'm a lefty but drive right hand opt....weird...but love the review and my Feiyue 03 eagle.....

I bought this a few years back. Full speed into a curb broke a tie rod. Metal ones on eBay set me back 10 bucks or less. Unfortunately, the battery died on me, and I couldn't get a direct replacement and gave up on it.
If I were to do it over again I would absolutely go with a 3000 MAH battery. 1500 isn't enough.
I have NEVER seen anything come with batteries in it (i’m guessing in case the leak) especially mismatched batteries lol I love the BONG of the metal plate being hit I prefer the WL toys 12428 because it has a 540 motor in it and it also has lights especially because it has lights I bought the 10428 and I had to install lights I hated the fake light stickers this was a good video thanks for not adding music
I took the covers off of my lights no I don’t have to worry about them coming off they look better now also brighter

Great, But I'm a bad driver and busted a suspension arm by running in to a pole right with the wheel, but other than that it's in tip top shape(replacement parts are not expensive)
I like it, Dustin. Hard to decide when $100 gets me a babyhawk. ;-) In soon enough time I'll have a truck...this one looks tough

I've had 3 of these cars sense Christmas and me and my two grand sons have run the very hard there a good rc car for the money but they do have a problem right out of the box you need to take the gear box out and clean and tighten the clutch there will be oil on it .and you will want to buy a set of metal upgrade front axes and a metal geared servo we have had to replace them in all three.After you do that your good to go we have been racing, bashing and trailing them after the upgrades with no problem at all I wish they would sell them that way but if they do I have not found them yet If your looking for a all around Rc this is a good one and the parts are easy to find Happy RCing

I'd leave the battery as it is. Plenty of power and runtime. A larger or higher voltage battery may overheat and burn out motor since it already gets pretty hot 👍

I am kind of considering using one of these to make an offroad muscle car, like from Furious 7, using a 1/10 drift body. Could you tell me the wheelbase and axle width, so I can see if it would fit under a 1/10 body?
I have the version 2 Across think out the both the Across is tops with working l.e.d's and £10 cheaper..

When you turn on the rc with the wheels turned it turns them straight again ok?
Mine thinks that all the way left is straight. When I start with my wheels straight it turns it left all the way because it thinks the wheels are pointing right. When I try to turn all the way right the wheels are straight.
This is absolutely frustrating and I need help bc I don’t know how to fix it.
Check on your controller trim knob and the servo reverse switch are correct 🍻

+didactylos4 diddy4 switch just gives more throttle and less break. My Across came with lights this one did not. Aside from looks that really seems like the only real difference. This one seems to handle a tad better.

Seems like it handles better because the WLToys has much bigger motors ! 540’s I believe . Eagle has something like 360 not sure exact . But if you check you can see the WLToys has much larger motors
the 12428 is its built better and a lot faster I have them both I let the grad kids play with the FY-03 the 12428 you will have to replace the diff gears with metal ones cause with the power of the 540 motor you will strip them out but with the 12428 you can run a two battery set up and twice the run time with no problem it evens got a place to put the battery strap bought cars are a great buy for the beginner and newbe alike

try to avoid grass and sand with this thing , otherwise you'll burn motors one after one :)
@Ian Mangham I live in Florida that's the only place we can run them an't burnt a motor out yet even had them in the rain

I love this thing for the price but ever since my first time running it, it makes a pretty loud grinding sound inside the car when I turn the wheel all the way to the right. Doesn't seem to affect performance, but it probably isn't a good thing. Anyone have any idea what it could be?
UNICRON 9 Maybe the tires are loosened, try tightening all of the wheels, but not too much tight
Well it happens without the wheels even moving at all and sounds mechanical, like gears grinding or something. It happens even having it upside down and turning the steering wheel.

which is better feiyue FY03 or wltoy 12428?
Fy-03 is much better overall. Wltoys have plastic gears.
I have them both the 12428 is a lot faster out of the box but the FY-03 is good to both cars need upgrades the 12428 you will want to upgrade the gears to metal and the Fy-03 you will need to upgrade the front axes to the metal ones and and the servo to the metal gear one I have 3 of the FY-03 and 2 of the 12428 and one of the 12428 has been upgraded to the point it don't even look like one lol good luck and Have fun there both great
I can barely drive this car at all before the motor overheats. what can I do?
+unknown 1 motor gets hot normally but maybe your wheels are on too tight. Loosen the wheel nuts a tad as shown in bench portion of vid.

Might need to put the smaller Pinion gear on motor. The bigger gear is for flat hard surface. smaller (less teeth) for grass and sand.

The WLToys has the bigger 540 motors ! The FY has a nicer reciever. Body’s and classy are almost identical . But the WLToys with the bigger motor will out perform in places the Eagle comes with the spare parts and WLToys does not! I have both . At end of the day the bigger motors out way the nicer transmitter for us . Both are great and almost identical in most aspects
