This is not survival roleplay it's a new series

For me the next logical step in survival roleplay is for Daggerwin to finally make it to the big time and all the different challenges that come with that side of farming. You have done so well in showing how hard it can be working your way up from the bottom, and like you say, have covered so many challenges you don’t want to repeat them. So, for example, if daggerwin were to inherit dennis’s farm and money, that would take his farming to a whole new level I. E on a much bigger scale than ever before. He would need full time workers etc, almost like the Ausi farm. On the same map there is a big dairy farm, sell everything and move to there. It wouldn’t be a map change but does completely freshen it all up, can start playing with the big machinery then too! This would allow you to be creative with a completely different set of challenges for Daggerwin to face, stops the series getting stale and most importantly, stops you getting bored of it! Hope this helps with some ideas, keep up the cracking work mate 👍
Amazing idea there!! Would definitely shake up the series in a good way as it does feel like Daggerwin needs some good luck and to run a successful farm for a bit

I thought about this after seeing what James did to his old farm but what about also dealing with running a farm as urban expansion happens with other farms being sold and turned into housing projects and stores as alot of farms have trouble when HOA's pop up around there farms especially if there active ones as they are constantly hound by developers wanting to buy the land, HOA sticking there boss in your business extra.

For Survival Roleplay, for me at least, I don’t necessarily need a storyline every episode. I’m content watching the farm grow organically.
I completely agree with you I don’t pretically like the story line side of things but mabey that just me!

I think you should do a series being a dairy farmer starting with not a lot of animals and small machinery and try to make it successful

i find it funny that dagger just bought a new combine and he is drilling everything as grass again
In practice you would typically lift the first bale as soon as it enters the bale collector. Do not push the first one all the way to the back. That way when you pick up the next bale you are not dragging the entire stack. That is why the collector would start to draft sideways when full. It should simplify the collection and make it work better.

Should start a survival roleplay in the 50's and work your way through the era's. Vintage machinery and a young Dennis and Peter. I'll think about it more and come up with a plan! And name it Vintage Survival

... and precision farming, BUT you cannot use the auto application (of lime/fertilizer) because old school equipment doesn't have computer control of application rate - best guess manually applied.

@@rcblitzfpv8346 At it's base PF-dlc adds pH and Nitrogen - old school you can still analyze the soil, but you don't get an application map to plug into your farm tractors computer to control the application. You can even limit the # of samples, so you don't go full field coverage either.
Instead you're going to be averaging the lime application and fertilizer application for the predominant soil type on your land.

You spent so much time and money plowing that field, and it’s by far the biggest field you have and you make far more money off of soybeans and the soybean straw than you’ll ever make with silage
I've done extensive testing and on this map on hard mode for grass on plowed, chalked and fully fertilised land. It doesn't yield as much as the base grass on the map. It's like 15% off if I recall it correctly. So it you throw even more money away....

id love to see a competitive series with the super difficult challenge included. i love this and the comp and for them to be combined would be amazing. it probably wouldn't work so well in multiplayer but doing a combined series with someone and showing a monthly progress between the two, or more, would be cool to watch. Like you could have a end of month stats screen showing each persons farm land, before and after each month, showing the equipment bought, spendings and gains. The beginnings would be the same probably or maybe one finds a better tactic. you'd never know. id love and be interested in this. i havnt watched your vids for probably a year and its not from being bored, just naturally drawn to other content. recently came to check up and saw this series and was immediately hooked. i didnt care much for the role play survival. But this series got me playing FS again and im grinding the same map and restrictions and having fun playing along side with my own adventure. Love the vids, always have and just keep em coming :)
Ideas for your survival role play:-
Drought destroys crop
Foot and mouth decimates animals
Someone’s dog that’s been walked through your fields kills some of your sheep.
Travelers move into one of your fields and leaves loads of rubbish behind once your able to evict them.
Someone causes damage to your crop by making crop circles.
Joyriders crash into one of your fields.
Metal detectorists find a treasure haul in one of your fields.
Not sure how some of these could be implemented, but maybe a modder might make something to help with a few of them. Others can be talked about and then show the aftermath or something.
Anyway hope those help or they give you your own ideas for something.

Another idea is that a college asks if they can send students to learn animal management etc from you at your farm
I think the best thing to do while Survival Roleplay is finished for FS19 is to play as much new maps as possible. Keep the survival challenge and survival trucking but I think you need to try out more maps. For that reason, I'm happy SRP will be coming to a close in 19. Not happy about it, I love the series but it takes up too much of your time and we could see you do Let's plays on other maps.

After like 15 years Giants still can't make their round bales stay on the trailer. Among several other old issues on base game. And its a top tier game cost wise. We are the testers. Big round of applause for all of us.

For survival roleplay. Daggerwin is getting to a point he needs more help doing the mundane tasks. Hire more contractors or have a character help a lot more. Also he needs a relationship in his life who doesn't die before anything substantial happens will give you much more potential for storylines.
But just watching the farm evolve is good too. Hope one day to see daggerwin make it really big like Zander.

I know you teased us with Ive, but have you thought about bringing in a wife/family into the Survival Roleplay? Maybe Dennis had a daughter you and/or he didn't know about. And you settle down and she's able to help you drive tractors and other farm help from time to time? Or she could come from a farming family that you help out from time to time. Eventually her father becomes ill and you have to sell your farm and move to their city to take over the family farm.
I know i'm late on this because i'm just now watching this and you already have a wrapper. But with this trailer, a wrapper that picks up the bale, wraps it and puts it back down in a straight line would be brilliant. This is how farmers do it in my area.
The five bale pickup seems like one of those pull your hair out, throw your system through the window type mods. Suggestion for the jittery bales: Autoload trailer. You can still load them the traditional way, but then use autoload function to lock them in.
I think first thing to make survival hard you should turn on crop destruction and also normal growth rate. Part of the game is about dealing with the potential loss of your crop
You should do:
mon = competitive mp ,
Tues = survival trucking
Wed = random ( bucks county )
Thurs/Fri = survival challenge
Sat/sun = survival role play
But at the weekend temporary do bucks county on the weekends into survival role play is back
Good luck on making a story line for survival role play ( I got a idea for survival role play daggerwin wins the lottery but only 20,000 to 30,00 pounds and he can make more progress on his farm )

Oh man. I saw that bale trailer and had a chuckle. I got it once, because it looked like a great idea, but the bales wouldn’t behave and it was absolutely maddening. I got so fed up with it that I abandoned it mid-job. Round bales are dumb.
I do really like the idea of a series with vintage equipment. I’d suggest a different map for an extreme difficulty series though, just for a change of pace. Perhaps eventually allowing workers on it too, since you want to be able to make progress
Regarding Survival Roleplay. What about that chap living at the neighbouring farm in Sandy Bay when Dennis and John lived there? Is there any chance for him to make back in the series? Either through Dennis or by coincidence in some way?
Another idea is that Dagwin and Peter could build a larger scale farm together, from scratch, only a large chunk of land at first. Peter has the experience with big farms and owning multiple farms. He is probably capable to finance it as well. Let Peter play the grater role there and Dagwin can still manage his and Dennis's farms along side.
Maybe it's an option to treat no mans land as flatmap. Just one plot on the map just random somewhere. And that is where you start.
I prefer in this specific scenario to have a lot near the store. There is an other youtuber on no mans land doing something similair. Just an idea. Hope it helps making an dicision.
No problem waiting for survival roleplay if it will keep its value. Keep up the good work!
Here's a challenge idea. Find a logging map. Start with a pickup and a chainsaw and a plot of forest. Take out the max loan, then remove all the money.
And when you have cleared a forest plot, you can create a field there. Grow your farm one plot at a time.
You could call a new survival series, "Daggerwin's Rambling".

Maybe you should hire someone to work with you on the farm, maybe like a temp :D as you have Dennis's farm to look for too, you would progress quicker. More opportunities may come along. Thing may go sideways as well, who knows :D
Might already be posted below but a trick with that bale collector is to fasten the straps between each bale, but do it while the machine is on the ground. Then the bales will stay strapped to the top of the collector. That will stop that walking effect you see once you get 3 or 4 inside
Really enjoy this series and it has even inspired me to start a series on this map. Love everything you do Daggerwin so keep up the brilliant work. Also the new series could be called Frustrating Farming.
I like the old tractors idea. Maybe something like nothing newer than 1980. As for survival role play, I'm very sad, its always something I look forward to on the weekend.
Also dagger, the straps start exploding if you strap while your still loading. (Or so I’ve found) if you stack the trailer then slowly do the straps up in order it almost lets them settle out a bit. Hope this helps
Old fashioned survival series would be epic, and for the extra hard series you should call it "extreme survival"
It could be a problem with the strawme mod for the twitchy bales. You have the same mod and had the same problem on competitive multiplayer.

Daggerwin: You can find some Gator TE 4x2 (Battery electric) good shape approx y2000 here in Sweden for 4000£. The only thing that wears is the batteries (and some chargers). I used one before and it's very durable and strong with a lot of torque. Can tow ordinary car trailers without draining batteries. But also find TH diesels but they are more costly, if you don't find the right object.
Rancher challenge where you can't make money except through animals.
Govt. subsidy challenge where you are given $100,000 per day and have to spend it all.
There is an old chicken coop on mod hub for £900 pounds i highly recommend getting it for more income.
Which one is it? The cheapest one I saw was like $8000. Is it the one that only has room for 6 chickens?
Vanilla survival, that should remove any advantages mods give. First and most important rule, no complaining about how slow progress is.
Granted, I think getting "harder" isn't the way to go. Just making stuff take longer isn't necessarily better content, since you either have to cut more out or time-lapse more. Maybe just using a specific theme for the challenge instead.
Hi, For the new series you could have a vote on aspects of it. For example modhub only or base game only, no logging or logging only to clear fields. Alternate start point, minimum equipment or many others I'm sure.

Regarding Survival Roleplay -
You don't need drama every episode. What's wrong with just farming now and then? I guess it's back to S1E1 until Feb.
That's why I don't watch as much any more. It's always something, like a soap, but more rinse and repeat style.

On survival roleplay, Id say Dagwin's a bit too wealthy now, so there's no real struggle. Maybe Dagwin could get scammed in some way, requiring the equipment lvl to drop back to roughly season 1 level to get the money to pay the moneymen
Or maybe the poor fellow needs some good luck for a while and start building a larger farm
Survival challenge: Hardcore edition. Maybe use seasons to make it more difficult. No income per hour items and only placiables are for animals. Gps is okay but thats the only aid
If you do new survival you should make time resource. like your only alowed to work from 6am to 6pm with x5 timespeed and normal crop growth speed.
To get you started you should start with some small old equipment (including a small havester) that can do the job but take longtime doing it.

for the harder survival challenge you should do a no forestry version and you start off with a few old pieces of equipment

As for roleplay. Why not become a manager on a farm that is buried in debt, I mean £1-2million and get it paid down. Hard mode, obvs, seasons, precision, high fuel, no advanced mods, etc
I reckon instead of another survival challenge daggerwin, you could simply as a temporary replacement for SRP just bring back the MP with everyone like you used to do on the weekends,
or for that matter go back to FS17 and finish off the Southern Cross Station let's play that SRP replaced
or just do like an old school let's play with vintage machinery starting in the 70's right through to the present day like a timeline series
Music choice is the best out of the FS channels I watch.
Maybe for Survival roleplay, you are approached by a "Big" farm that needs every type of crop grown at the same time and every type of animal taken care of. Starting from nothing planted and no animals.
A survival challenge on ninghan farms but you start with some equipment (old equipment) and slowly upgrade up at newer equipment. But use seasons and buy new equipment at the end of the year

I don’t know how easy it would be to implement in the game, but I think it’s time daggerwin took a wife.. in the game I mean😂 I was sure eve was going to be the one and actually was a bit sad when she died. What about Paula???There could even be a side story about her family? Maybe sub contract to them. Like you did with Dennis’ brother.. just a thought saga that I think would add a nice storyline. Just what I needed. Thanks Dagger. Am I mistaken or don't you get more yield from a planted/fertilized field that from the original grass. In my experience about 1/3 more just for plowing and replanting . . . but that stays as long as the field remains planted to grass? Yes?
Anybody have different results? I like 'field grass' as well.
I know you're not the best logger, but I'd love to see you do a challenge on a forest map like Willamina Forest or Crater Lake and you carve your farm out of the trees
@Daggerwin For the storyline from survival roleplay, maybe its an idea to involve Peter Wood again, by somehow exposing him as a criminal who helped John or the guy who stole your horse... That's why he has so much money... not because of a lottery he said he had won...

Stack round bales on their flat sides. Takes a bit more time to flip them, but they are much more stable that way.
So super hard difficulty, no peaceable that generate income, play it on a tiny farm where you have 1 or 2 very small fields. In a snowy country so u have to be smart with what u grow. Using only vintage equipment. And u can call it whatever u like because I'm nice like that haha
For the new series name, maybe just "Extreme Survival". Keep it simple

That bale transport is an exercise in frustration! I tried it back in 2019. One of the few times I used the console to refund what I paid for it.
You could call Survival Trucking "Hardcore trucking"
How about the vanilla challenge? Only go with Giants own equipment. Going to be harder for sure but might be a bit slow
Well you could start a very different game. I have seen many youtubers that do the same over and over again for years, and they just stop... You could do some FPS games or other survival games. You could try The Long Dark or like Scum. Maybe something else than farming for a while will get you keen on farming again :)
Daggerwin you should definitely get a gator to restore on Machinery Restorer!
This doesn't have to be in survival challenge but please get more case tractors preferably newer ones.

Roleplay: illegal tree harvest happening and farmer Dagwin and his trusty dog, Dogwin, need to figure out who is responsible. Obviously some legal support will be needed or implemented because farmer Dagwin has alot of work on the farm and rebuilding dennis’ house...

Another benefit of sowing grass is that you can fertilize it, which brings you a lot more yield, which makes more money
In real life you could ofc fertilize the grassfield, but in fs19 you cant if im not mistaken

I think you've forgot what Survivalroleplay really was from the beginning. It should be realistically hard and things should be like in real life at lest in my mind

Really good series but the pigs finally need some straw to produce manure, theres a straw bale in the shed next to the green house, please give it to the pigs, they look so uncomfy without it
Extreme Hardcore Challenge. You start with nothing except student loan debt of £15,000. Have to do contracts to earn your first bit of money.
You am meant to have the 1st bale just in then lift and drive to the next and drop it down then drive forward so the 2nd bale is just in. Not to put the 1st one right at the end straight away just a tip mate for more realistic game play

If you were going to do another survival challenge it would be great to see one using seasons, as it adds more predictable things to do each day. Each episode being a day and using something like 6 day seasons I think would really add to what Survival Roleplay is all about.

Me and my son have just started an extreme survival save on a map called Little Norton (UK map) we have a cabin in the Woods located at the South, all we have is a cabin, our own 4x4s and a chainsaw each. It's a trek to even get to proper roads and then a trek to the rsaw Mill for example. It plays out to this but more travel involved and income is slowwww haha for now anyway.
Extreme survival challenge: no money, no land, seasons, hard economy, precision farming. Do jobs to earn money until you can buy stuff. No leasing. Silage only allowed for cows.

I agree with daggerwin SR has become a bit of a mess. I also think its the older tractor mods that make it, They have lots of character. I don't have anything against the new Holland its just that theres something about the older tractors. Also I don't think the map choice was the best ever, The house is far away from the yard and the yard has no character or old stone/brick barns. And none of the yards on the map cut it for me. I was thinking potentially chellington, small dairy farm and start with some older tractors. The yards in six ashes just don't seem like a real farmyard to me, also not enough animal farming and too much arable. Please don't take this as a mean comment I am just thinking what weed like to see. Wishing all the best for the future of Survival Roleplay :)
