First of all I'am an old school 70' DJ,,I want to thank you and the rest of the young generation for keeping this music going, and explaining to your Audience the true meaning behind these songs,, I really enjoyed playing these songs.,, I will be listening ,,, thanks to the both of you..
The song will bring a tear to a glass eye. Absolutely love George Strait. He’s a global icon and a national treasure LOL. I really hope y’all react to Mor of him. God bless you guys!
Mr. OR Mrs. OR Miss C Russ, Are you a listener of The Rick & Bubba Radio/TH-cam Show? Just wondering because of your “will bring a tear to a glass eye” comment. Their show is based in Birmingham, Alabama.
Not just the miracle of his baby girl , but there’s so much we don’t see everyday, that we take for granted. The flower pushing up through the concrete, the beauty of love and life with the young expectant couple holding hands, God is present in all those miracles. We just need to pay attention. ♥️♥️
This is such a beautiful song and it really pulls at the heart strings. I have two daughters. When our first was born they didn't allow you to witness the birth. With the second I witnessed her birth and it was amazing. Even gave her her first bath. These are moments you cherish forever. Really enjoyed your reaction and comments!
George actually lost his daughter some years ago, I believe in a car accident. I’m sure this one has a lot of meaning to him. He does have a son that competed in the rodeo circuit for a while. I’m not sure if he has any other children.
When you mentioned his son (Bubba) I was reminded of this little gem told to me about his dad George, while we were hanging over the chutes at a local rodeo. George was, may still be, quite an accomplished team roper. I know, up until just a few years ago, he put on a big roping at the Rose Palace. Anyway, Bubba was coming up, and doing pretty good himself. The story as told to me. George had been invited to play somewhere or other. On that same date, Bubba had entered a roping, and had asked his dad about roping with him. As the story goes, George turned down the offer to play, choosing instead to rope with his son. I have always chosen to believe that about him. Just too cool not to believe.
Babu blue was written for George as a dedication of his daughter. She and a few other friends were being kids. She didn't have a seat belt on and enstantly went through the windshield killing her. There was no other vehicle involved
My baby girl is 27 years old, and a beautiful woman. I was 40 when I had her, and the doctor wanted to do a test to see if the baby had something wrong with her, being that I was 40, and having my baby for the first time. I told her I don't want that test because no matter what, I would have the baby, and give her , her God given right to live. She is smart, and wise beyond her years. God blessed her with beauty, brains, a caring heart, and talent.
@James Wilmzs I love all the old country. Garth Brooks, Allen Jackson, Alabama , George Jones, Brooks and Dunn, but George Strait is definitely my favorite
Per Songfacts George Strait told AOL about this song: "'I Saw God Today' is such a well-written song... It means a lot. Sometimes we take a lot of things for granted, especially anybody that's had a child. When they first see that child - if they're in the delivery room or not - it truly is a miracle. And you just realize that all of these things that God has given us, sometimes you just take for granted. But if you just step back and take a look around, you'll see what beauty we have around us in the things that He has created for us." This was Strait's 43rd #1 hit on the Hot Country Songs survey. It's one week at the top put Strait in a three-way tie with Hank Williams, Sr. and Buck Owens with an accumulated total of 83 weeks on top of the Country chart. This was the first song with "God" in its title to top the Hot Country Songs chart since Sawyer Brown's "Thank God for You" in 1993.
Several years ago, my wife got very sick and was in the hospital for three months, I spent every day with her. And it took a long time but she recovered. I saw the hand of God move on her so much in bringing life back to her.
Asia and BJ- Thanks for reacting to this great song. I love some George Straight. He sadly lost his daughter in a care wreck years ago. He still has a son.
My ex husband was so protective of our newborn. He witnessed her birth, and when they wanted to give her, her vitamin k shot, he got upset. When they handed her to him she had a puckered lip like she was getting ready to cry. So precious.
Makes me tear up each and every time.. I get tired.. lost.. beaten down.. I think why me.. Its too hard.. and each and every time.. God shows me someone or something and says.. you don't have it that bad.. you are blessed.. and I love you. I'm very glad I see.. so very.. God Bless Y'all
I was 39 when my daughter was born. I was there, I didn't cry then. When my daughter first wrapped her hand around my thumb, then I cried tears of joy.
I never really got the meaning of this song until i had a child of my own and I realized how much God really loves us all any parents can back me up on this you don't really know what love is until you experience the love you have for your children and I believe that's the way our lord feels about all his children
Listening to this I can't help but to be heartbroken for George strait and his wife knowing they actually lost their daughter. No parent should ever have to bury their children. 💔😥
Hi everyone, this song touches me really deep my lovely wife and I had bad news from the doctor when she lost her fist baby after that the doctor told Us that she was not going to able to have babies ever, (2) yrs last I saw God that day our beautiful girl was Born and a yr later our Son (4) yrs later our next Son and then the last miracle our last girl ❤ it’s been almost (23) yrs and this song always make me remember that there is a God 🙏
I saw my best friend delivering her second child. Didn’t want to be there. Haha. But her mom wasn’t there. It was miraculous. Then about 5 years later had my son. Both times looking into their eyes I felt this God presence. Like they knew all the secrets of the universe. I know it sounds crazy. But I felt they were coming from a different realm who knew all things. Unfortunately or maybe by design that goes away. Those two experiences are my most Godly experience I’ve had and I’ve had many.
Another one of Strait's spiritual songs is "Cause you'll be there". It's a great song. One that you you won't hear much because it's almost like spiritual songs are Taboo on the radio.
You may have already heard this but this was his song about his daughter. She was killed by a drunk driver at 18. Damn near made him quit everything. Great song and good reaction. Love yall
Also how God pushed the flower up thru the concrete as he walked by so he had to stop and see God creating life with the smallest of things .... God creates all life .... Not just humans
7:20 Unfortunately, I would definitely be the dad that passes out. 😂 Guess it's a good thing that I don't have any kids, given that aspect.. Though I still had always aspired to have some kids of my own.
I'm already there the women I love she has 2 girls and I'd go through anything for them and they have already said they loved me that brought me to tears I'm like I never knew kids would bring you to your knees I find myself planning dates with my girlfriend and her girls and doing things ad a family the best feeling in the world
I hope y'all will continue to learn about classic Country music because it contains themes and wisdom you cannot find anywhere else. In popular music, you cannot find religious themes anywhere else except the gospel channels. Please try Carrie Underwood, "Jesus! Take the Wheel!"
Y’all, I’m unable to have kids; I adopted my son and have a beautiful wife with 3 kids and now I have a grand girl. I’ve cried more since the adoption than I ever had before. This song definitely makes a little girl out of a grown ass man.
This song, and it's meaning makes you think...What do those who don't honor the blessing of a new born baby, and wants to end their lives...They must have not seen God today.
Huh you some Hooter the song actually makes me really emotional right now because sadly she's passed so every time I hear the song it makes me want to cry dude she got killed in an accident and I just found out that Toby Keith also is expected to die and apparently Brad Paisley's passed away crazy morning
@@jdevanzo wow that's your response to a song about his daughter's birth and she's passed away now off the drugs thanks pal. The only drugs I do is caffeine and nicotine thank you very much but you have a great day my friend
@@jdevanzo possibly take a course in empathy. You have no empathy for the man I have kids I couldn't even imagine a grandchildren couldn't even imagine but I can see what kind of human being you are.
I had a real spiritual understanding of this song. Taking a moment to stop and see the beauty God has truly blessed us with.
He's the King of Country for a reason. ❤️
Amen.
