+MAMAs b0y I've said this many times, and I'm gonna keep saying it till the day I'm buried, gaming headsets are bad, go for real headphones and mics. The whole gimmick of virtual surround sound needs to end. Thank you
+alphasss1 if you think it's a gimmick, then you have never heard real 7.1 virtual surround sound before. I can tell you how many times it's helped me in matches pinpoint the exact location of an enemy. Also, there are tons of headsets out there that have decent enough nice to get the job done, basically any headset over $150, or ESPECIALLY a Senheiser 363D which has been known to have the best built in mic that any gaming headphones provide
+DIY Perks Yeah, there's a whoooole lot to making high grade head phones, no matter what when I see Sennheiser make headphones it blows my mind seeing just how much work they put into them, but developing headphones? Oh man, now that's just a treat to see.
Jonathan King Yes and no, the sculpted and printed pieces are there for show but they're a part of developing the headphones. Most everything else is an integral part of making high grade headphones though. xD
If logitech is serious about the quality of this new driver, this headset might be worth paying attention to. They compared it to an HD650 of all things, so If this new logitech headset can really stand up to that sort of competition I'll need to keep an eye on it.
keep in mind the headset and 650 are open and closed back. Two TOTALLY different things. and in a loud environment the closed ones would sound better. at the moment I'm still calling BS on these until I see some more reviews of closed headphones vs these.
+Harrison Lichtenberg If they were indeed serious about competing with Sennheiser, they would've put the shiny new product they have against a G4ME headset and in a soundproof booth (like a music shop) for some apples to apples comparison. What they showed - noisy environment and closed vs. open headset, it's just very poor move.
+Harrison Lichtenberg It will not stand against the HD650, they are 150-200 dollars and the HD650's are 500 dollars. And these are gaming headsets, they are bound to be worse than actual audiophile headphones, BUT maybe these can become the best gaming headset, who knows, maybe they will surpass the Hyper x Cloud and the G4ME series. Still, we need an actual comparison from both normal people and audiophiles to see how good they actually are.
***** No no, that's not true. I have a cheap Sennheiser 323D, and its mic is better than decent; it's great actually. I don't want spectacular quality, I only want a decent mic for these new headsets.
+Complexity AU my friend bought one of those snowball mics and in mumble, skype, teamspeak, etc his mic sounds the same OR WORSE than those of us who have gaming headsets with mics. 2 of the people in my group use the steelseries siberia clip-on mic and they sound maeginally queiter and worse than anyone else's mics
I used to work in this Logitech facility as an acoustical engineering intern! Brings me back man, that's a super cool facility to work in and the people that work there are extremely innovative and helpful.
my mom works at that same facility in camas she was the blonde lady at the front desk when you first walk in if you guys saw her. she got me the headset for free : D really nice.
Just saw the Linustechtips ad on TH-cam.....This is one ad I was glad seeing. It's awesome seeing great things happen to awesome people. Keep it up guys.
+TheWebDoctor - ummm.. No its not. I'm sure there are a ton of people who don't know skins are a thing, or they don't care about steam and they just use it cause its the only place to buy certain games.
I have the g930s and I have to say Logitech, I'm really happy you guys listened to feedback. Everything wrong with the G930 is just improved in every way, although I'm skeptical about the mic. Good work Logitech, definitely looking forward to picking up a G933!
Wow. I've been watching for years. And seeing how the quality of your videos improve over those years is just plain impressive. The production and presenter quality really puts so much stuff you see on TV to shame. Well done!
I've been using the G930s for the past 2 and a half years, and I absolutely love them. They might not have the best sound, but the 'surround sound' is actually very useful in certain games and the bass is very powerful. I'd be more than happy to give those G933s a shot when they release! I ESPECIALLY love the 3.5mm jack on them! No longer do I have to run my console's sound THROUGH Windows just to hear it over the wireless usb, and it also means I can use the headset separate of the computer completely with, say, an iPad. HUGE bonus for me!
Headset seems awesome, but before watching this video, I couldn't even begin to believe how much work goes into building these things. It truly is amazing how much effort they have to put in... The mixing thing sounds pretty epic... I NEED TO GET THIS HEADSET!!!
I have the old g930 wireless headphones and love them. The freedom is worth the compromises. This new one seams to fix those: aux in for console/tv/phone... Wireless disconnects from interference on 2.4 band. Audio quality. (mine are good but don't compare to $100+ wired headphones). If the comfort is as good as the current ones they have 8+ hour comfort on my big head.
After owning a G400, a G502, and a G930 I can definitively say that I will never be buying another Logitech product. As nice as they look, each had their own problems that many other users had/have. For those wondering, the G400 had to be taken apart and the cable had to be moved up so it wouldn't disconnect. The G502 had a faulty sensor that caused malfunctions. And the G930's manifest file had to be edited to work properly, it's power consumption settings needed to be changed, the padding had to be replaced very quickly, and the battery life and range are far from advertised.
Luke did a good job. but Logitech will always be cheep shit to me. go buy audio technica, sennheiser, or even corsair. I hate all the broken Logitech gear I owned. now I buy quality gear that last with perform outmatched. Ducky's keyboard, mionix mouse, ath m50, blu mic, benq monitor. corsair speakers. the good shit. spend once not twice.
+PunisherOfDeath101 My ducky shine had really bad quality, the LEDs died out really early while owning it (I still use it because i'm too cheap to buy a new keyboard but still)
+jonathan harrington same here. My ducky shine has 2 dead LED's that died within the first two weeks of owning it. Thank god they were only the 7 and 9 keys. Also thank goodness for warranties
ducky had great service. my led went out but and they offered to replace it after warranty. i troubleshot the problem myself and its was my motherboard acting up(fixed that easily too). if i had to choose another keyboard company id go for das hands down. probably will get a das and give my wife the ducky. logitech is cheep. don't deny it. they try to do too much which lacks in over quality of product line up. too much shit they cant perfect. go to people who are masters in the industry for quality products. ever heard 'Jack Of All Trades...Master Of NONE!'
This is perfect timing. I always liked my G930 until it died last week, and I need a replacement. My only issue with it was that it only took one input, so I can't have game audio at the same time as my phone audio (I use it for audio-books and podcasts) easily. Now I can (I could with the old ones by running my phone as a line in on my computer, but that is a hassle). I don't expect perfect audio quality, but my G930s were "good enough". I hope the G933 drops soon.
Really great video! I enjoyed the behind the scene details that you were able to give light to. Any other videos with the same kind of thing will definitely be getting a watch from me!
I am so pumped about these new products! haven't seen a new gaming headset from Logitech in years and they are one of my top favorite brands I have. Thank you for this video! Awesome Job guys.
This is probably the most excited I've ever been about any audio device. If the Artemis Spectrum is truly a crossover between the G930 and a audiophile headset this would probably be my daily driver.
I have the Logitech G930 Headset and I really love them, looking at this I was really blown away by, some of the new features. Keep up the good videos, without you I probably wouldn't even know these were a thing :D
I just returned the Logitech G930's, so hopefully these don't suck. From what I'm hearing these are a massive improvement and so far sound like they are worth a try.
i love that you guys held the review because that shows how seriously you guys take reviews. I need new headphones so i will defiantly have to wait for the full review from you guys
I upgraded from G230's to the G930's and I love them so much, actually curious if these are any better or just pretty colors.Great video btw, love to see more of logitech HQ
OK I'll give props to them for actually designing their own drivers - mad respect! 99% of non-enthusiast headphones (Beats included) simply utilize $1.99 mass-produced drivers from bulk electronics companies, so this is definitely pleasantly surprising :)
I remember trying to explain to my non tech friend how to change his recording settings to 32000hz so the mic doesn't cut half his words off. I think all the surround usb models are affected. One persons fix was modded drivers, another was to use razors drivers for the same usb sound card. I see the effort that goes in but hey... when the bill for that massive 3d printer comes in you can always bet bugs and slightly cheaper manufacturing will be utilized to maximize that return for shareholders.
holy crap, you guys drove right through my town to get to camas, (Vancouver Wa). nothing ever happens here and then all of the sudden LTT shows up! so cool
The multiband feature for multiple audio sources will be incredibly useful for many different lines of work. You could be a streamer/gameplay recorder and want to listen to various outputs or have the ability to toggle various audio inputs or outputs on the fly, or even something as simple as general gaming. This could be useful for AV production since you could render a preview and have it play through an HD preview panel or TV while maintaining the source audio from the project or program with your client/friends/coworkers on a Skype call. Honestly, I've been wondering when companies with the more premium options would begin to include the multi-audio source thing into their devices, and this would take a lot of the work out of routing multiple audio sources into your PC and then into your headset, which would generally have to be a decent pair of headphones unless you wanted all of that audio to get mixed up and garbled.
Audio monitoring is a selling point for gaming livestreamers especially when they have an external microphone and it has a physical jack to monitor audio but not through PC.
I've never tried the HD650, but I'm here at PAX Prime and they have these headsets here. I'm pretty impressed by them, and will most likely be picking up a pair here before the weekend is done. I went through the Logitech booth for the headsets, corsair, turtlebeach, and Razer. To be honest, the Logitech ones were my preferred ones of the bunch. I gave all of the ones on the show floor a try just to compare them.
I've been using the Logitech G930 for years I bought a second one a few months ago when the first one failed because its a very good headset and suits me needs. I will upgrade to the G933 when it's available.
I wanna see more headsets like the Turtle Beach Z300. I'm not a Turtle Beach fan myself but the only reason I bought the Z300's was because it had built in Bluetooth so I could wirelessly connect my phone to the headset and use it as a Bluetooth headset to take calls when I'm working and not gaming, Not only that but if I receive a call during a game I can simply press the button on my headset to take the call and it will automatically lower the in game volume so I can listen to the call. but still hear the game at the same time. It's truly a great idea and I wish I could see other manufactures bring out the same sort of stuff. Maybe it's Patterned, I don't.
Wow. I am stunned at how awesome these headsets turned out. Leagues above any other set in terms of features. Although, Logitech (and possibly Corsair), are the only two companies who have made (IMO) consistently the best quality products over time. Nice work on the video too.
I like the video but I don't %100 care for the price tag on the G633 being $150. They look VERY nice but that price tag is what would push me away right now to pick up some. Happy to see Logitech taking the steps they have with both 633 and 933 cause they look just great. Also looking through everything from every corner and not just making them feel good and sound sound. But to make them look, feel, sound, wireless to work with out problems, and having a problem to change all the buttons and sound settings in a simple looking problem.
YES!! I cant wait for these I've been searching for a replacement for my 3rd pair of G930's for years!!!! I loved that headset but its just worn out again. Can't wait to see a full review on these from LTT. Now if Logitech would just make a mech keyboard that could replace my K95.
This kind of videos make the difference between this channel and other tech channels. Well, this kind of videos, the sexual references, and see how Linus make cruel experiments with hardware also make this channel unique among tech channels. And that's why I love LinusTechTips and the LMG staff.
Last time I bought a headset I bought the SteelSeries Siberia V2 Frost headset, and mainly due to them glowing blue. Didn't realise so much went into making headsets.

For those of us with woofers, the bass rumble at 8:02 is appreciated lol. Great tour and overview of the new product, by the way.
Worth the upgrade from G430 to G633?

$200 for the wireless version...what! I may have found me my new headset. Omg it has wireless analog input on its transmitter, day one buy.
Is it any good?
Logitech has really been killing it lately. loving the stuff they've put out recently.
Damn, logitech engineering becoming as overkill as german engineering

I love what Logitech has been doing with their new products! They are making awesome improvement to their products!
OH MY GOSH AUDIO MIXING? I'VE BEEN WANTING SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN A HEADSET FOR SOOOOO LONG!
Thank you for this bit of advertising, Logitech! I use the G930 and I've been stumped for anything better - until now!
I'm intrigued.
Are you still thou?
I really like the design and look forward to your "full" review later!
I've been using the G930 for 2 years now its all broken down but still love it, im defenetly gonna buy this new one it looks great!

this was an awesome video. love seeing behind the scenes of tech
Great job with the review. You guys went above and beyond. Awesome. Keep it up.
I love that Logitech actually makes their own stuff from scratch and not buying from some OEM like everybody else.
Guys keep it up with this kind of videos! not a lot of people make these and most of the times the presenter seem clueless, unlike Luke.
Really enjoyed that. Great information! Can't wait for a proper review from you guys.

Audio monitoring is a selling point for gaming livestreamers especially when they have an external microphone and it has a physical jack to monitor audio but not through PC.
Very cool glad to see logitech is finally updating there headphone lineup. :)
Really good vid. Nice job. Can't wait for the full review.
Pricing doesn't seem bad. I'd definitely like to see a review of these. Especially mic quality.
I always enjoy your reviews so simple, adult, mature and good personality.... keep it up bro (y)
Just saw Luke, Brandon, and nick at Pax earlier today! lookin' forward to some of the videos you guys have coming!
Go Linus Media Group! :D
I'm never going to buy you a shirt that isn't from Transistor, because that game is fucking GREAT.
I've been using the Logitech G930 for years I bought a second one a few months ago when the first one failed because its a very good headset and suits me needs. I will upgrade to the G933 when it's available.
Props for saying it wasn't fair to test open headphones in that environment.
so happy to know my head set go all of this
I wanna see more headsets like the Turtle Beach Z300.
They certainly look amazing-- count me among the people who have "gaming" headphones and are perfectly happy with them. Got a pair of G930s.
"So you can use these for console, or the better option.. Pc"
oh linustechtips
This is why i love you guys
Linus, I really miss the move vlogs, thought we would keep getting to watch the process. Maybe I missed something but still miss it
Perfect - looking at different headsets and this is what im after!
dope headphones new subscriber I wish there was more videos of the whole crew like yu did with the new shop
Last time I bought a headset I bought the SteelSeries Siberia V2 Frost headset, and mainly due to them glowing blue.
Didn't realise so much went into making headsets.
Looking forward to reviews of the G633 and G933!
Looks awesome! Nice Logitech!
These look pretty damn fantastic for something from Logitech.
