This is the Whitesnake I listened to as a teenager in the early 80's. I understand Coverdale had to change the image and the line-up to be a success in the USA. I love 'Still of the night' and I don't mind 'Is this love', but this early bluesy band was the best.
Saw them at the Playhouse in Edinburgh 1-2 yrs before this & they were brilliant. First time I'd heard the slide played like that live. V. good evening.
Well, they were in the middle of making the Slide It In album at this point, it may have already been recorded. They premiered 'Guilty of Love' at this show. This line-up was great!
This is whitesnake. See how they play so good. How many tickets would they sell . To see this magnificent band as they were. Fuck vandenbourg / Vai etc boring. Bring back this stadiums wouldn’t be big enough. X
used to agree with all the comments below UNTIL i tuned my guitar in E & got a clipper lighter, its amazing what you can do with open chords ,not brilliant just unbelievabley clever
Favorite era of the band. Blues on steroids.
Mickey Moody and Bernie Marsden were two of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Especially here in America.
@Jonny Sebringo That's not Bernie Marsden there it Mal Galley
Blackmore also
The best era Whitesnake 🤟
